In order special rice with no pork And beef curry I dish up the food and realise the rice had pork in it they refund me the money for the rice but not the curry The food went in the bin Couple of days I rang to order I was told that ain't delivery to me as I was told I was rude to the delivery driver I've been using the new Jade east for 9 yrs So they really don't about customers Considering it was they mistake

We don’t order very often but we find you can rely on the quality and we order when family are visiting. We fed 6 with plenty of leftovers for £60. The big spring rolls are a meal on their own, fantastic value. The dry ribs also great portion a size for all. Never an upset stomach either.

Warm up rubish had microwave food don't go there infested with fles outback where food is cooked.

Made a order missing what I ordered called up to be pretty much told I was lying and would send out a replacement

Probably, one of the worst Chinese food I ever try… I just wasted £20 in no-flavour food. As other customers said, front of desk unfriendly and lack of customer service skills. I guess if the owners read the reviews to make something right.

Another great takeaway our third from here and every time it’s been great. We pretty much have the same things every time and it’s been great every time in the past 6 months.

We ordered from New Jade thinking it was this restaurant (completely our mistake), however, the lady on the desk was just very rude about the whole situation and very smug! Actually glad we didn’t end up spending our money here! Customer Service is shocking

We've had delivery from here a quite a few times over the years and it's always been very good. We're now ordering from here as our regular place now, after working our way around every Chinese in the area, and this has been the best delivery constantly. Always had our order correct, always polite people on the phone and delivery. Always large portions, always hot, always quick, always tasty. My wife is really fussy where we get takeaway from, and she loves New Jade East. (Only one other she'll get it from, but they don't deliver) Carefully reading some of the older and odd reviews, don't seem to make sense. So it's a shame they've pulled down the score, when they seem to be talking rubbish or probably exaggerated issues, rather than any fair criticism.

The chicken rice smelt like death it’s made my husband physically be sick it’s absolutely disgusting the curry sauce was really thick and cold we had to spoon it out he was absolutely fine till he ate that then was sick we heard that they had immagrants working in there now we are beginning to think it’s right avoid at all costs

I can't believe this has got such bad ratings although it seems the majority of the low ratings are from many years ago. I am only leaving this review because we have eaten from their multiple times over the past few years and it's genuinely one of the best takeaways around. the lady that takes your order on the phone is always polite and I alway shave a good chinwag with her if she's not too busy. Overall I can't score it less than a 5* there are probably places out there that have better food of course but it's reasonably priced and consistently good food so deserves to have a good rating

Best Chinese in Strood area. Takes cash and cards. Lovely girls on phone. Lovely lady delivers. Also lovely girls deliver. I don't always give a tip. Older lady doesn't mind, girls often disappointed but always nice. No demands like cash only. And some demanding tip and then Saying: You're mad. Others lovely and will accept little gifts if I don't have cash handy. New Jade Easrt has lovely food as well. Thank you lots And may God bless China and all the Staff at Jade East xxxcveritas

The staff are so rude lady on desk was more interested in giving her discount to total stranger, this was a nice Chinese but since the new person has took over on the desk the service is terrible she needs to learn customer service skills and as for the food Do Not Bother

Fantastic food - huge pancake rolls flavoursome crisp and non greasy. Sweet and sour Chicken balls good sized pieces of chicken in crisp batter again non greasy. Chicken Chinese style - moist good sized chicken slices in a foursome sauce with crisp noodles and special fried rice full of prawns and meat. Delivered within half a hour and nice and hot. Complimentary prawn crackers were a lovely touch

Used to be really the best in strood now it's rubbish worst I've had in a long time ordered Singapore chow mein and basically got a spicy chicken chow mein few bits of pork in it and two shrimps not impressed the chickens that frozen rubbish u get from Iceland then there's the Kung po prawns prawns tough and taste reheated and only six in it total waste of money will be keeping a prawn and sauce incase it makes me I'll utter rubbish avoid

Ordered take away on Sunday Hubby had beef curry and rice I had special chow mien spring rolls and we shared crispy curry samosas. Absolutely delicious. The spring rolls are to die for yummy I had two dogs with great big slobber ladders round me positively drooling Delivery very quick. Definitely order again

We decided on a takeaway and were not disappointed. The vegetable spring rolls were superb. The meals of chow mein; sweet and sour chicken; egg fried rice; and noodles were well cooked and presented. Will return.

Iv never left a review before, but this was ridiculous. Chow mein turned up with dry hard noodles no oil or sauce at all.Called to complain and was told that's what a chow mein is..... Unlike any of the thousands of portions iv eaten before.

Good varied Chinese food takeaway. Does deliver. Prices not too bad and food has good taste. Accepts cards or cash.Some English dishes. A large rice is plenty for two.

We have tried many Chinese takeaway's, but we hadn't found one that we all liked until tonight. The food was excellent. It was very nicely cooked, tasty and everyone (in my family) here, enjoyed every bite. And with my picky family, that's the best compliment we can give.

Very very poor and seriously gone down hill......this use to be a good chinese not sure what’s happened! You would wait over 90 mins on a Saturday a few years back but my recent order 25 mins and when it was delivered just Horrible tasteless food....

Excellent takeaway this time- sometimes variable but generally good- Special fried rice very decent, mixed veg likewise- crispy chilli beef sublime, pork balls perfect- Delivered hot and quickly late on a Sunday night. Nice one!!

The food is very tasty but soups are tasteless. Wanton soup does not have noodles and 3 wantons is unacceptable also needs pakchoy in it.

Decent-ish food but incredibly slow service and not particularly friendly staff. Not very comfortable or welcoming waiting area and parking is a bit of a problem so not the best Chinese takeaway.

He usado Jade East un par de veces y no tuvimos problemas. Esta vez fue 20 minutos tarde. El conductor no pudo encontrar la dirección ... Tuve que llamar para averiguar dónde estaba nuestra comida y el conductor estaba sentado en Jade East twiddling sus votos porque no podían encontrar nuestra dirección. indignado. No ofrecen de una disculpa por teléfono o descuento ... sólo se puede imaginar que la comida estaba fría. No comer allí de nuevo.

He estado utilizando esta Chino durante años y es generalmente mal. Un poco hacia arriba y hacia abajo pero no está mal.

Food arrived warm and order was wrong. After waiting 1 hour for delivery I called back up to explain the order was wrong and the owner arranged for the correct item to be sent with her apologies. This came in 15 minutes, however I was asked to pay an extra £1.50 for her mistake in swapping the incorrect item for the correct one even though she sent the order she took down which was wrong and admitted this. I called again with their driver at the door who refused to leave the food but could see my point (nice of him) and she was disinterested and insisted the extra 1.50 was needed, I replied with some harsh words along the lines of your £1.50 has just cost you much much more as we have used this takeaway for around 6 years, so I paid the £1.50 and told her we would never use them again and would not recommend anyone too. Golden Wok in Strood High Street is much more tastier and cheaper.unfortunately greed has taken over here.

We are a local family who have been eating and buying food from Jade East for around 30 years child and adult. A few weeks ago they changed how they cook their food and made it extra spicy, so much so it was impossible to eat. A polite call to the manager resolved the problem when she agreed to refund half the cost of the food £15 towards our next meal. Today they went back on that . The manager accused me of making it up and said she would give me £10 goodwill , I told her to stick it. They change their recipe/ chef, put prices up and lie. They don't deserve our custom. Never again will the Jade East take away get money from me.

No personal touch here just come in fill your face as quickly as possible give us your money attitude.

This is our local takeaway and we enjoy most of the dishes they provide. I am a vegetarian and as they don't do just a sweetcorn soup, they are happy to make me one on request, which is nice. The plain chow mein does have a habit of changing, I suspect with the chefs on duty, but the best ones are the big noodles not the thin insipid ones. I always recommend it to my friends and am happy to continue frequenting it as the service and delivery are always good and prompt.
