The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Chinese food

All of the food we ordered was consistent... Consistently bland. and flavourless. When we opened the box for the beef chowmien it looked grey and watery, tasted like it too. The spring rolls were filled with polystyrene like "meat granules" the Staff treated me like a chore and was as cold as the freezer that the meals were unearthed from. We shall not order again.

Been using the Golden Star for years, the food is always hot and fresh. Delivery is in great and the staff are always friendly and polite. Highly recommend

My favourite Chinese takeaway by far in the area. Such friendly service - unbelievably friendly and hygienic service. Food never disappoints. Pretty fast from order to delivery even on busier takeaway times and reasonably priced. Shame the soups aren’t often available is only negative. Strongly recommend for anyone in the area!

I really hate leaving poor reviews.... but, Called on way on from Tesco...as ya do! Got the 4 dishes for 15.99 deal. Chick chow mein, Chicken rice, chicken balls and beef and mushroom. So not like we've spent a fortune. Smaller portions sizes with this deal which are still reasonably size for price. Just didn't taste like what they should. Noodles with squishy, rice dry...nothing tasted authentic. Infact, ya know that taste you get sometimes when you've had something sat in the fridge longer than you should and all the other tastes of other foods cling to it....? Yep..not good! Definitely not fresh food. Only got home 10.minutes ago and it's already gone in the bin. Disappointed because we used to order from here often. It's been a whole and we won't be back..sorry 😔

Ordered food after reading some good reviews !!! Used to get food from here 20 years ago and was good back then ! Sadly the food we ordered was horrible and took 1.20 mins to arrive !! Prawn toast totally burnt and cold , Singapore fried rice awful , Special curry was gloopy and had burnt onions in it , and could taste curry powder, lastly salt and pepper chips were warm ups and totally overcooked !!! My honest opinion is avoid it and if you live in Handsworth use the rainbow or golden house 🧧🥡🥢

Food is great, no complaints there but this is 2024 and they don't accept card payments for either delivery or in person. Get with the times and get a card machine - your custom will go up.

One of the best Chippies in Oldham!

Utter shambles. Ordered sweet and sour chicken and I got chicken balls with a tub of sweet and sour sauce. No onions or vegetables! Women on the phone was rude and unhelpful saying this is how it comes !!! Utter rubbish, I've never ordered this from any Chinese and it comes like this ! Can't admit their mistake is what's happened! I've included the picture of what I received and I'll include a picture from Google of what a bloody sweet and sour chicken dish looks like !!! Or is Google and the rest of the world wrong as well ?? I will never order from here again, useless!! Look at the pictures FS there's zero comparison 🤬🤬🤬.

Food was good but just too salty

The food was disgusting and looked old even the curry sauce tased old. Microwave was pinging too so wasn’t fresh. One customer got into an argument as she put vinegar on his food and he was allergic, she was fuming when he made her cook another portion. I put the whole lot in the bin when I opened the food! The sausages on display must have been a week old they looked dry and horrible and screamed food poisoning! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
