Ocean Wok Chinese Take Away in Glasgow City

Utter shambles. Ordered sweet and sour chicken and I got chicken balls with a tub of sweet and sour sauce. No onions or vegetables! Women on the phone was rude and unhelpful saying this is how it comes !!! Utter rubbish, I've never ordered this from any Chinese and it comes like this ! Can't admit their mistake is what's happened! I've included the picture of what I received and I'll include a picture from Google of what a bloody sweet and sour chicken dish looks like !!! Or is Google and the rest of the world wrong as well ?? I will never order from here again, useless!! Look at the pictures FS there's zero comparison 🤬🤬🤬.

Cold meal, not enough choice, poor service, value for money to be reviewed Bad experience, I don't recommend it at all, if I hadn't seen it give 0 stars, I would have done so! I'm not picky about food so feel my disgust

My favourite Chinese takeout in the area. Food is always perfect.

Well we have always used this Chinese as it was definately the best in the area. Always been super tasty great portions and just in general was better than the rest( we have tried other places plenty times too) unfortunately though in the last month or so it's definately changed chef or something because the food has just been sub par. The salt and chilli chips are not the same. Curry sauce was watery and very bland. I'm absolutely gutted. Will definately use again in a wee while in the hope it goes back to its former glory. If not then we will need to find somewhere else!! Xx

Ordered chicken balls chips sweet sour sauce in one tray .got chicken balls in separate bag Special curry got a chick fried rice dish .could not be arsed to return to shop

Tasty food to pick up and deliver. Could do with being available on one of the many food delivery apps to make ordering quicker and simpler. On balance it's one of the tastiest Chinese takeaway's in the area so phonecalls or pickups is only a minor distraction.

Very disappointed with latest order curry sauce has changed and is FAR too salty ...horrible... beef in chow mein was really poor chewy like rubber far too much msg so disappointing as up til now was best Chinese locally but won't be buying again and won't recommend

Update. After 13/14 years using this place the food has became dire in recent months, my dinner tonight is burnt and going straight in the bin. When I called to complain I was told that's just how they cook when they're busy. Shame but I won't be back. Have been using this place for over ten years. Food is and always has been brilliant. I don't know what the 1 star review is all about?

Good food , quick service . But stopped using them after 5 or 6 weeks in a row , getting my order wrong .Shame as food was good . Wont be back

Great chow mein in oyster sauce and their barbecue ribs are delicious.

I personally luv the satay could eat this evry day bit hot and extremely tasty wont go anywere else this is my fav take away.

Clean and good food velly tasty

char sui was slimey, chicken was chewy & the amount of oil sitting on top was awful , curry sauce was grainy will defo not be ordering again, only 2 members of staff in kitchen & didnt seem to know what they were doing.

I love this Chinese it never disappoints .. the chicken curry is the best and the salt and chilli chips are amazing 👌🏻

Great food from this takeaway, My daughter (10 years old). is quite a fussy eater but loves the chicken curry and also the chicken balls with curry sauce from this takeaway. She has also just branched out and tried the chicken chow mien and loves this too Chips and fried rice are good too. Well worth a try.

I love this Chinese. The food is always perfect. My son (who is 9) doesn't like any other Chinese Take aways lol. Always eats his whole chicken chow mein from here. Great value for money and super fast delivery. Defo give it a try 😀

I was in the area and decide to see if the Ocean wok still served a really good special fried rice, no change still very good but portion sizes are smaller

Great wee Chinese takeaway but not the best though a really good 2nd. Woor ping beats it but this is still superb. Salt in chilli chicken is superb. Pretty decent fried rice a good 2nd to woor ping.

This is a good Chinese take away place at the top end of Castlemilk. Good value, and portion sizes are good without a loss in quality. Their Chicken and Sweetcorn Soup is possibly the best I've ever tasted, from any Chinese esrablishment. Can also recommend their spare ribs in the Peking or Gravy sauce. Spring rolls are also very tasty. Of the main courses they do a very good Kung Po, and a nice crispy shredded beef in Peking sauce. Would have scored them higher if their curry sauce was a bit creamier and spicier, not enough flavour in it, their satay sauce is good but could be a bit spicier too. Overall, this is a pretty good place for a take away. Worth a go and please try their chicken and sweetcorn soup, it really is excellent.
