Tasty Hot Food Quick Service Language Issues Went here while roaming around the city and wanted to try some sweet and spicy Chinese comfort food. The server could not understand English, but was very polite and helpful. Ordered the mixed sea food udan in XO sauce. They offered Chinese tea at no cost. The food was pretty decent. Nothing special about it but good food. Language was an issue for me!

Send it in one word: Poor! It said 10% off for students. I have an S3, so I asked the cashier to compare my student ID card with it. He said it doesn’t matter. I have to pick the side card first to get the discount? I'm really pissed off, I'm my brother-in-law, but I don't accept credit cards, I only accept cash, so it's obvious that I'm smuggling and evading taxes.

This cash only nonsense needs to stop. Walked to this place intending to buy dinner, only to be confronted by the big CASH ONLY sign on the door. Nearest ATM was 10 minutes walk away. It had a chip shop next to it, so the chip shop got my £15 and you didn't. This probably happens several times a day - work it out. The number of customers you're losing is not worth whatever benefit you receive from avoiding an electronic payment trail.

I'm always very impressed with the food and friendly service here. I go often.

We’re not from the area, but decided to visit after reading some positive reviews. Unfortunately, the food did not quite meet our expectations. That being said, I must highlight the wonderful atmosphere. The decor is beautiful, and the overall vibe is very inviting. The owner strikes me as a strong, capable woman, and I truly respect her hard work and dedication. However, I do have some critiques regarding the food. While the prices are reasonable, the quality fell short in several areas. We started with the shrimp changfen, a classic Cantonese dish. Sadly, the rice noodle wrappers were unusually sticky. The seasoned soy sauce was pleasant, which helped salvage the dish somewhat. The steamed chicken feet were decent, though my friend felt they were no better than supermarket quality. I can’t personally verify that, but I understand her point. The beef meatballs, on the other hand, were extremely disappointing. The presentation alone suggested poor quality, and unfortunately, the taste confirmed it. There was nothing redeeming about this dish. The biggest letdown was the roasted duck. After much deliberation, we chose it over several other options, only to be left with regret. The plate was inexplicably filled with water, and the skin, which should have been crispy, was anything but. It seemed as though the duck had been pre-roasted and then steamed before being served. The sauce was equally uninspiring. I cannot recommend this dish at all. In summary, while the atmosphere and pricing are commendable, the food itself left much to be desired. I hope others may find better success with some of the other offerings on the menu.

The taste is good, the portion is large, and the milk tea is fragrant. It is worth recommending.

The service here was very quick the Food came out within minutes of arriving and placing my order. A great place for HK style cafe food. The food was piping hot and tasty. A wide variety of dishes on offer .

You must order the milk tea, it is very strong and delicious. I also like to order the chicken steak with olive oil and tofu. The fried udon with seafood is also delicious. The soup noodles must be added with curry fish balls and beef brisket, it is delicious 😋

Cheap, delicious and opens for curry, etc at 10.30am. Love it. (photo is Chicken & Noodle Soup and Beef Curry with Boiled Rice (just 2 of the choices from their £5.99 for 2 Courses lunch deal, available from 10.30am) UPDATE: It is March 2024 and, with the economic bombardment from both the coof & rampant inflation, the '2 Choices' meal is now £7 and still, I think you'll agree, an amazing bargain. The portion sizes & flavour from their dishes are the same as they ever were, brilliant.

点的是米粉，选了三种肉，肉倒是很多，米粉散得一塌糊涂，勉勉强强接受，毕竟米粉这个东西，质量很重要。也就进门open/closed的牌子写着只收现金，店内没有任何只收现金的标志，如果微信支付宝，按照9.5的汇率，还好还好还好，今天刚够13的现金。收款的不知道是不是老板，那个态度真是在英国吃了这么多家中餐馆，最差的一个。

Great food, one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in Glasgow!

Great place. Waitress always remembers our orders and even mixed things up when I wanted something different. Braised beef curry with crispy noodles was one of her ideas,awesome! Management talks to you and takes in ideas,recommendations and feedback. Missus loves this place. She's from Hong Kong and states that there's nowhere in Scotland/UK which serves some of the dishes she likes!

Pig trotted (豬手）and Chicken Steak cart Chinese noodle is good. But the coffee mixed tea is too milk and not hot enough. I asked the waitress to reheat it and it taste better.

Definitely has an authentic Hong Kong diner look and feel. Ask for the Chinese menu to get HK dishes. I ordered steamed pork belly with preserved vegetables and rice which was delicious, and a generous portion. I also had a HK milk tea which was just ok. Very friendly service. Cash only, though, and there are no cash machines nearby so come prepared.

We visit on a regular basis & can't recommend it highly enough. The staff are so friendly & helpful & the food is fabulous on every visit. They have a great value for money lunch menu, but a more extensive menu is available too. The best Chinese around.

SCAM!!!!!!!! On the menu it said there’s students discount so we went in because of the large number of pupils we have with us almost 11 students At first we confirmed that the discount is available with waitress saying yes However the time after we ate and we try to pay the bills the lady in the counter said **it is only for university students** we obviously asked why because it is clearly labelled on the menu. This is where she shocked me she said **if so everyone of your friends will the get the discount** well of course that is what she set at first how could she change it within one hour it is a very immoral act. It is a scam!!!

It said there’s student discount so we went in with all my friends almost 20 people dining in At first we confirmed that the student discount is available for all students (which should be pretty obvious) the waitress said yes After we ate everything we went to the front desk to pay the bill the lady said “ the discount is only for university students if it’s for all students won’t everyone gets discount?” Just Becuase there’s a lot of us doesn’t mean she can change it right after I honestly have no comments on it I feel betrayed and lied to The food there is pretty expensive too Thinking the discount would make it a better price is not a good idea

I used you eat here regularly with my Chinese partner and before C-19. Was in here today [ 24 August] for lunch, have to say I've had better in here and today's meal was just ok. Wasn't given the option of Chopsticks just a spoon n fork [Korean style] and a bland looking lunch menu.

They made my dish wrong and tried to urge me to eat what they had cooked. I insisted my original choice but the woman kept saying I was stupid and my choice was bad and I would regret about it...... I felt so offended and they ruined the good food.

This restaurant is arguably the cheapest Chinese food in Glasgow. I came over for my lunchtime meal and ordered a set menu for £6.50. I chose fries and sweet spicy fried chicken fried rice. The fries were not too good. The sweet spicy fried chicken was very tasty and the fried rice with egg was also very good. I like this restaurant and recommend it. But they only accept cash, which makes it inconvenient for me.

Nice staff, amazing, authentic food and great prices! One of the best places to eat in Glasgow. The interior may not be ordinarily Western, but it looks exactly like restaurants in China, which just proves how authentic it is.

Average food, charged £0.50 for a polystyrene container (for a 5 year old leftovers), poor hygiene (one of a few examples include chopping raw chicken 1m from the cash register), doesn't except card payment of any form.

we had a fabulous meal in here at great prices. It's not fancy, however, we sat at the window seat and they allowed our wee dog in. I think if it was busier they may not have been so dog friendly, however, it was comparatively quiet. So if you are in area and have a well behaved pooch you can only ask, just like we did. We were the only westerners in the premises, there were about 8 others in, and all were Asian which in my book is a sign that the food is good, which it was. We will return if in this area, hopefully our doggie will still be well received. They gave him a bowl of water last time.

This is always busy and fast. A very cheep lunch that is provided quickly and cooked to order. You could not ask for better Chinese food at this price.

I have been eating here for a few years now, and I can only praise this place. The food is wholesome and tasty regardless of the dish chosen. It's a good place to have "Proper Chinese Food" there are some specials to be had also, I like the lemon tea [cold] the noodles are yummy try the Cha Han or the Chow Fan just two tasty dishes to try. We had 3 dishes and a couple of drinks for around £30 so not to bad for two a great wee place for friends, families, whatever all are welcomed

I stumbled upon this place and decided to try them for lunch. 2 courses £5! I had chicken noodle soup, and chicken schezuan. Both very tasty and as nice as you'd get in many other good Chinese in the city. The tables/chairs/decor make it seem more of a cafe than restaurant - it's not plush! Everyone else eating in was of east Asian ethnicity - it's a cliche but I take this as a good sign!Ideal for a quick cheap lunch in this part of town.

why have I not been here before? Food was delicious, service very fast and the choices are great. We ate from the Chinese menu rather than the western one. Two people, two drinks and two main courses for £17. I had the curry won ton soup with udon noodles and he had pepper pork chop with noodles. Both delicious. Massive portions, I've got enough for dinner later in a wee doggy bag.

Hasnt been open too long but you cant beat this place! They have a two course(western style chinese) menu for only £5!! If you are more adventurous then there is a substantial Chinese menu( with pictures and explained in English what they are) which is about £8 but the portions are huge but delicious. Very friendly staff. I have never had salt and chilli chips as good anywhere else :) We have tried many dishes from the Chinese menu too and they are superb. There are a lot of Oriental people eat here which is always a good sign. Its open from 10 till 6 but will possibly open later in the future. We just cant stay away from this place!
