Cosushi in Southampton

Stopped here for a quick lunch and had beef brisket, Katsu Chicken, Gyoza and Sushi. All dishes were perfect, the prices were really good and the eatery is clean and well presented. Can’t fault the place at all and looking forward to coming back.

I wanted to get takeaway from this restaurant. The lady behind the counter refused to give a mixture of the sides like rice and nudles she said its imposible... i said ok... musr be very complicated! Then when i try to pay she put service charge and i told her i will not pay service scharge!!! The owner came along and i told him i not willing to pay service charge as there is no even waiter you have and no scheff. If your food worth 10% more i willing to pay but by law you have to display the price what the costumers need to pay for the food and if thay not aggree with the service charge you can not charge it! The owner become agressive and send us to eat other restaurant. We did than, we find kokoro what provide the same food (but looks better quality) and there we not get charged with servicecharge!

All the food here is delicious, the chicken is always well done and flavourful, my personal favourite is the takoyaki which never fails to impress the same can be said for the stir fry and bento boxes.

The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, buzzing with happy diners. The menu, a delightful fusion of Japanese and Chinese cuisine, offered a tantalizing array of options. After much deliberation, I settled on the Kungpo Chicken, while my dining companion, Abbey, opted for the Katsu curry. The Kungpo Chicken was an explosion of taste. The tender chicken pieces were perfectly cooked, coated in a rich, savoury sauce that was both spicy and sweet. Each bite was a symphony of flavours, from the fiery chili peppers to the subtle hints of ginger and garlic. The accompanying vegetables were crisp and fresh, adding a welcome crunch to the dish. Abbey's Katsu curry was equally impressive. The golden-brown breaded chicken cutlet was incredibly juicy and tender, perfectly complementing the thick, flavourful curry sauce. The rice was fluffy and well-cooked, soaking up the delicious sauce. Topped with a vibrant salad, the dish was a feast for both the eyes and the palate. As we left Coishi, we couldn't help but feel incredibly satisfied. The food was exceptional, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We had been to Korokko many times before, but Coishi had truly raised the bar for Katsu in Southampton. From now on, Coishi will be our first stop for Katsu, and we can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious menu.

This time I ordered stewed beef brisket and Japanese curry chicken rice, which was really delicious. The chicken and beef were very tender, the sauce was super fragrant, and the rice was also very soft and sticky. I highly recommend this restaurant, the environment is very clean, and the staff are very enthusiastic.

Shocking customer service. No ginger with my order despite asking for extra ginger! Accused of being a racist because I tried to let them realise that a person who takes orders should be able to speak English! I had to repeat my order twice, request for ginger twice, wanted chopsticks twice, remind her it was a takeaway twice! Seriously! Whoever the person was that I spoke to on the phone ( a male…. am I now going to be accused of sexism?????? If he was a Manager I would be even more shocked!). Oh how I wish the old owners of CoSushi were back- what a delightful group of people they were! Not the rude obnoxious employee from Imperial Garden Chinese Restaurant which is where I see my payment went to.

It's ok place! Was 2 times order sweet and sour chicken and tiryaki. Tiryaki was better. Big portions and it's not expensive. Milk tea no recommend :(

I asked for extra spicy spicy beef Japanese noodle soup it wasn't overly spicy but taste amazing ( I love spicy food so this could be too spicy if you like mild - med spice ) my first time trying this kind of food will be Def going there again freshly made with fresh ingredients overall yum !!!

It was a good place with fantastic service but the sweet and sour chicken had so many chilli's and there weren't many options as there are in a place like kokoros or a place like that. There was no one in the place and the atmosphere was very dead and quiet as I think but overall a good restaurant 👍👍👍👍👍😃😃😃😃

Good food, great portions. Seems to be a small glitch when trying to build your own noodle dish that doubles the price from £15 to £30+ so, might want to look at that. But its a fantastic meal experience, love the milk tea

Having recently visited CoSushi, I must commend the truly tasty sushi they serve. The variety of flavors and freshness of ingredients are particularly noteworthy. However, I'd like to offer a few observations that could further enhance the dining experience.Firstly, concerning the decor, while the food is exceptional, the interior doesn't fully capture the essence of a Japanese dining space one might expect for sushi. The lighting seems out of sync with the style, and a small change in this aspect could greatly improve the overall ambiance, inviting guests in from outside. I suggest incorporating large, appetizing food graphics on the walls near the cashier. Not only would this catch the eye of passersby, but it could also increase foot traffic. Additionally, a change in the color scheme from blue, purple, and pink, which don't harmonize well, could be considered.Another point is about warming dishes. Using a microwave, though practical, means the sound of the timer can be heard in the dining area, potentially disrupting the culinary experience of guests. I recommend exploring alternative warming methods, like bain-maries, which would be less intrusive acoustically. I hope these constructive suggestions will contribute to the further development of CoSushi, benefiting both the owners and customers. I'm convinced that with these minor adjustments, the restaurant can become even more popular.

Terrible service!!!!! Don't recommend it! Stuff don't bother to help or to do their job like they should. They laugh for nithing and make stupid jokes in front of customer!

I have order from them first time. They changed the delivery time for 3 times and they not wven preparing my order! I was dissapointed after i have waited more than 1 hour and half for 16 pieces of sushi!!!

We visited CoSushi and I must admit that the sushi was really tasty. The variety of flavors and freshness of ingredients deserve special praise. However, I would like to share a few comments that could further improve the experience of visiting the restaurant. The first suggestion concerns interior decoration. Although the food is excellent, the decor does not quite reflect the atmosphere of a Japanese place where you would like to eat sushi. The lamps seem incongruent with the style, and a small change in this area could significantly improve the overall atmosphere when inviting outside guests. I would recommend using large, appetizing food graphics on the walls, just like in the cash register area. This would not only attract the attention of passers-by, but also increase traffic in the premises, plus changing the colors blue, purple and pink because they do not match each other at all. Another issue concerns heating food. The use of a microwave oven, although practical, makes the sound of the end of heating audible in the room, which may disturb the guests' culinary experience. I recommend considering alternative heating methods, such as bain-maries, which would be less acoustically invasive. I hope that these constructive suggestions will contribute to the further development of CoSushi and benefit both owners and customers. I am convinced that thanks to minor changes, the restaurant can become even more popular. If necessary, I will be happy to provide further assistance in increasing sales, rebranding and processes in the company!

Worst experience ever! Service was appalling! Blaming us that they got order wrong even though me and my partner repeated it twice! Useless staff and even manager weren't very helpful. When asked for refund, he refused! And didn't listen either when I asked for takeaway! Very bad experience, won't go back there ever again!

The food was tasty but what wasn't made clear is that it's an automatic 10% surcharge for eat in orders. We couldn't see that this is written anywhere on the menu/price displays in store and only in very small font on the table menus. This made it quite pricey as a lunch option.

(Suggestion: Seperate the sauce and the other food) Taste 2.5/5 - Way too much sauce, but the taste was fine though. I could only taste the sauce though out my meal. Texture 4/5 - Although it was a take away, the beef texture was surprisingly good. However, the rice texture is too soft, but it was probably due to the fact that it was a take away. Size of the dish - Medium Service - No comment (Since it is a take away) Environment 3.5/5 - Warm and basic design. Temperature - No comment (Take away in a cold weather) Others - / Comment - Fair price with fair taste, will definitely try to eat in the restaurant to give a more holistic view of the restaurant rating. I was ordering from this place as only they have salmon roses. So I know how they suppose to look. So first of all they made them half the size(original roses will not fit in your mouth in one go) and missing red bits on top (caviar?) Today I went to speak to them directly. No apology, just excuses: different shefs, all hand made so they can't guarantee it will be the same size. Really disappointed

The worst Japanese food delivery we have ever had and the customer service when trying to deliver constructive feedback was disappointing and dismissive it at best. First they send out the wrong order and then denied it. They soon changed their mind when I said I’m happy to email a picture of what was delivered. The Sashimi delivered smelt terrible and of really old fish! This was inedible, unless of course you like the idea of sea-food poisoning. When I mentioned this the lady said “No the fish was fresh this morning” we ordered around 8pm and it clearly sat out all day as it was warm and had a really bad fishy smell which fresh Sashimi never has. There are loads of Japanese restaurants in town that deliver so, **** DEFINITELY AVOID THIS PLACE **** We will never recommend or use again

Sent the wrong food items and denied they did until I proved it that a ordered rice not noodles they kept trying to palm me off to just eat and would not address the issue this was the case with the sashimi we ordered as the moment we opened the plastic box you could smell a real strong flavour of old fish, sashimi should not smell of fish ! This was constantly argued by a very frustrating lady who told me once again whilst laughing to go to just eat. ***AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE PLAGUE **

Worst customer service ever. Save your time and go across the street to kogoro! Never going to co sushi again after being a loyal customer over the past few years.

I’ve been a long term customer of this store but I recently experienced the most disgusting service I have ever experienced. They refused to let my 3 year old niece use the toilet, despite the fact that I know they have a toilet as I’ve used it before. I was a paying customer! They very aggressively said not until you pay, I was quite literally mid order when the woman at the till, who was looking at me in such a disgraceful manner, harassed me to finish my order before letting my niece use the toilet. I was quite shocked at the disrespect and to make matters worse she started commenting on the size of my order, implying it wasn’t enough???! I have no choice but to assume that the colour of my skin influenced her behaviour towards me. At that point I had asked to speak to the manager and he blatantly lied to my face claiming they didn’t have a toilet ( I have used it before)when I told him this, he began to spin more lies about how it was under construction? The staff member I was previously interacting with was laughing in my face, asking why I didn’t go to the Kokoro toilets instead? What kind of establishment treats their customers with such contempt? I received no apology. I had to leave in the end. I am utterly disgusted and will never be returning.

I wish there was 0 star option, the most horrible staff I have ever come across. They were rude and racist to the family before me, they didn’t allow them to use the toilet (although they were paying customers) but there were other customers who were allowed. When I tried to speak up and tell them they were being horrible I was told to go and eat somewhere else and that they can choose who they allow to use their facilities. I recorded them saying this and told them I’d tell the police because that is discrimination, they didn’t care. They were making monkey noises at me and laughing until I left in tears. Most upsetting, humiliating experience I have ever had. I have reported the incident to the police and hopefully these vile human beings have their restaurant closed down.

Went to this restaurant with my family and utterly disgusted by the racist service provided. They refused paying customers to use the customer toilets, all because they were black. DO NOT spend your money here, worst service I have ever witnessed!!

Uber delivery, food arrived quickly, nice and hot and delicious. The beef with white radish was melt in the mouth good. We'll definitely be ordering from here again.

Had a delivery, starters ,octopus was lovely, main meal braised beef with noodles was awful. Meat was full of fat and was really chewy total waste of money, only fit for the bin.

The best Japanese in Southampton 😁 Can't beat them in quality vs price. Clean, basic restaurant with friendly and accommodating staff. Everything made fresh when you order and tastes delicious. Menu offers a nice variety of dishes too. I specially like their frappes and sweet teas, katsu curry, bento boxes and sushi rolls. It's not fancy, very relaxed atmosphere for any time of day. They also do takeaway, shame I live too far 😢 although probably best for my wallet, as only I'd be too happy to live off their menu.

We dined in here a numerous times and food is always tasty but today's service was very dissapointing. My 4 years old daughter needed a emergency access to the restroom before we ordered the food however the staff was so unemphatetic and even the owners were not helpful to the point my daughter nearly had an accident. Although food was enjoyable as always more likely we will not return here. Hope the owners will participate in the review and make a change for a better attitude.

Delivery Staff need to be able to read English as that is what the delivery addresses are written in. Turning up on a site over 400m sq and phoning to say you are here is not good. Especially when you are on the opposite side of the site to where you’re supposed to be delivering.

Wonderful Sushi! We ate in the restaraunt a couple of days ago. It was so nice that we ordered takeaway Sushi today.

The dishes are always delicious, and there is a good range on the menu without losing focus. The salmon box is great, and salmon sashimi is always fresh. Tuna sashimi - less consistent. The beef brisket soup noodles was spot on, as were the stir fried beef ho-fun (staple remedy for homesickness) and the tom yum soup ramen. Super friendly and professional staff. We always feel feel right at home there due to the vibe and staff. But it's designed more as a quick stop than a sit down meal.

Food is outstanding, tastes great and good value for money, The only issue I had was with one member of staff, a control freak, wouldn’t let me use the facilities, while I’m a paying customer,

The sushi is fresh and tasty, but the rest is not to the same quality. The takoyaki is the frozen kind. The ramen broth and noodles were disappointing, not very tasty and tasted instant. For the quality the price was high, I've had much better quality ramen and cocktails in other cities for less. The additional service charge of £3.50 made no sense for just bringing the food, especially when we had to collect our own drinks. I can get a delivery to my house for less than that.

Always have a super nice time when I come to co-sushi, whether it's just a cute little dinner with my husband or having sushi with a group of friends. They have a great range of food including hot food, everything is fresh and the teas are delicious. Also I've ordered to my home via über loads and the quality is as good as in store and always gets here quickly, well wrapped never leaked.

This is so underrated in the city , i have had the best prawn fried rice in which pieces are cooked rightly and the rice is so good with mouth watering taste. Dont miss out if you are feeling hungry and are craving for some rice items,just go for it.
