The delivery time kept falling back by 5 minutes then another 5 then another 5 etc. If you have a lack of drivers please just be honest and realistic about the delivery time. There were no traffic issue in this area and my order was early evening!!

Just been MADE to pay a service charge. You pick stuff from the fridge and then go to the counter to pay. I was shocked to see a service charge automatically added. I asked for it to be removed but the staff stated the management insisted on it being included. I mentioned that this was against trading standard which they acknowledged they may have been breaking a law but wouldn’t remove service charge . What an absolute con. Food looked ok.

I enjoyed the food but the sticky rice wraps were sticking together when I got to those. Trying to pick one up at a time was a nightmare because sepirating them from each other whole was impossable. May i suggest a small piece of non stick paper around each one when packing them in the future. Delivery time was an hour later then the enitial eta, though they did keep the eta updated. I always judge delivery time by asking, is it within 10 miniutes of advertised delivery time, often its not.

I wanted to get takeaway from this restaurant. The lady behind the counter refused to give a mixture of the sides like rice and nudles she said its imposible... i said ok... musr be very complicated! Then when i try to pay she put service charge and i told her i will not pay service scharge!!! The owner came along and i told him i not willing to pay service charge as there is no even waiter you have and no scheff. If your food worth 10% more i willing to pay but by law you have to display the price what the costumers need to pay for the food and if thay not aggree with the service charge you can not charge it! The owner become agressive and send us to eat other restaurant. We did than, we find kokoro what provide the same food (but looks better quality) and there we not get charged with servicecharge!

The most authentic rice I’ve had since I came to UK! The dish was incredibly good. Getting it at such a price is definitely a great deal. I’ll be coming back to Southampton just because of this restaurant 🥰🥰

Coishi, nestled in the heart of Southampton, has quickly become a culinary gem for those seeking authentic Japanese flavours. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, buzzing with happy diners. The menu, a delightful fusion of Japanese and Chinese cuisine, offered a tantalizing array of options. After much deliberation, I settled on the Kungpo Chicken, while my dining companion, Abbey, opted for the Katsu curry. The Kungpo Chicken was an explosion of taste. The tender chicken pieces were perfectly cooked, coated in a rich, savoury sauce that was both spicy and sweet. Each bite was a symphony of flavours, from the fiery chili peppers to the subtle hints of ginger and garlic. The accompanying vegetables were crisp and fresh, adding a welcome crunch to the dish. Abbey's Katsu curry was equally impressive. The golden-brown breaded chicken cutlet was incredibly juicy and tender, perfectly complementing the thick, flavourful curry sauce. The rice was fluffy and well-cooked, soaking up the delicious sauce. Topped with a vibrant salad, the dish was a feast for both the eyes and the palate. As we left Coishi, we couldn't help but feel incredibly satisfied. The food was exceptional, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We had been to Korokko many times before, but Coishi had truly raised the bar for Katsu in Southampton. From now on, Coishi will be our first stop for Katsu, and we can't wait to return and explore more of their delicious menu.

This time I ordered stewed beef brisket and Japanese curry chicken rice, which was really delicious. The chicken and beef were very tender, the sauce was super fragrant, and the rice was also very soft and sticky. I highly recommend this restaurant, the environment is very clean, and the staff are very enthusiastic.

Shocking customer service. No ginger with my order despite asking for extra ginger! Accused of being a racist because I tried to let them realise that a person who takes orders should be able to speak English! I had to repeat my order twice, request for ginger twice, wanted chopsticks twice, remind her it was a takeaway twice! Seriously! Whoever the person was that I spoke to on the phone ( a male…. am I now going to be accused of sexism?????? If he was a Manager I would be even more shocked!). Oh how I wish the old owners of CoSushi were back- what a delightful group of people they were! Not the rude obnoxious employee from Imperial Garden Chinese Restaurant which is where I see my payment went to.

The lighting seems out of sync with the style, and a small change in this aspect could greatly improve the overall ambiance, inviting guests in from outside. I suggest incorporating large, appetizing food graphics on the walls near the cashier. Not only would this catch the eye of passersby, but it could also increase foot traffic. Additionally, a change in the color scheme from blue, purple, and pink, which don't harmonize well, could be considered.Another point is about warming dishes. Using a microwave, though practical, means the sound of the timer can be heard in the dining area, potentially disrupting the culinary experience of guests. I recommend exploring alternative warming methods, like bain-maries, which would be less intrusive acoustically. I hope these constructive suggestions will contribute to the further development of CoSushi, benefiting both the owners and customers. I'm convinced that with these minor adjustments, the restaurant can become even more popular.

We visited CoSushi and I must admit that the sushi was really tasty. The variety of flavors and freshness of ingredients deserve special praise. However, I would like to share a few comments that could further improve the experience of visiting the restaurant. The first suggestion concerns interior decoration. Although the food is excellent, the decor does not quite reflect the atmosphere of a Japanese place where you would like to eat sushi. The lamps seem incongruent with the style, and a small change in this area could significantly improve the overall atmosphere when inviting outside guests. I would recommend using large, appetizing food graphics on the walls, just like in the cash register area. This would not only attract the attention of passers-by, but also increase traffic in the premises, plus changing the colors blue, purple and pink because they do not match each other at all. Another issue concerns heating food. The use of a microwave oven, although practical, makes the sound of the end of heating audible in the room, which may disturb the guests' culinary experience. I recommend considering alternative heating methods, such as bain-maries, which would be less acoustically invasive. I hope that these constructive suggestions will contribute to the further development of CoSushi and benefit both owners and customers. I am convinced that thanks to minor changes, the restaurant can become even more popular. If necessary, I will be happy to provide further assistance in increasing sales, rebranding and processes in the company!

So first of all they made them half the size(original roses will not fit in your mouth in one go) and missing red bits on top (caviar?) Today I went to speak to them directly. Sent the wrong food items and denied they did until I proved it that a ordered rice not noodles they kept trying to palm me off to just eat and would not address the issue this was the case with the sashimi we ordered as the moment we opened the plastic box you could smell a real strong flavour of old fish, sashimi should not smell of fish ! The worst Japanese food delivery we have ever had and the customer service when trying to deliver constructive feedback was disappointing and dismissive it at best. First they send out the wrong order and then denied it. They soon changed their mind when I said I’m happy to email a picture of what was delivered. The Sashimi delivered smelt terrible and of really old fish! This was inedible, unless of course you like the idea of sea-food poisoning. When I mentioned this the lady said “No the fish was fresh this morning” we ordered around 8pm and it clearly sat out all day as it was warm and had a really bad fishy smell which fresh Sashimi never has. There are loads of Japanese restaurants in town that deliver so, **** DEFINITELY AVOID THIS PLACE **** We will never recommend or use again

I wish there was 0 star option, the most horrible staff I have ever come across. They were rude and racist to the family before me, they didn’t allow them to use the toilet (although they were paying customers) but there were other customers who were allowed. When I tried to speak up and tell them they were being horrible I was told to go and eat somewhere else and that they can choose who they allow to use their facilities. I recorded them saying this and told them I’d tell the police because that is discrimination, they didn’t care. They were making monkey noises at me and laughing until I left in tears. Most upsetting, humiliating experience I have ever had. I have reported the incident to the police and hopefully these vile human beings have their restaurant closed down.

I’ve been a long term customer of this store but I recently experienced the most disgusting service I have ever experienced. They refused to let my 3 year old niece use the toilet, despite the fact that I know they have a toilet as I’ve used it before. I was a paying customer! They very aggressively said not until you pay, I was quite literally mid order when the woman at the till, who was looking at me in such a disgraceful manner, harassed me to finish my order before letting my niece use the toilet. I was quite shocked at the disrespect and to make matters worse she started commenting on the size of my order, implying it wasn’t enough???! I have no choice but to assume that the colour of my skin influenced her behaviour towards me. At that point I had asked to speak to the manager and he blatantly lied to my face claiming they didn’t have a toilet ( I have used it before)when I told him this, he began to spin more lies about how it was under construction? The staff member I was previously interacting with was laughing in my face, asking why I didn’t go to the Kokoro toilets instead? What kind of establishment treats their customers with such contempt? I received no apology. I had to leave in the end. I am utterly disgusted and will never be returning.

The best Japanese in Southampton 😁 Can't beat them in quality vs price. Clean, basic restaurant with friendly and accommodating staff. Everything made fresh when you order and tastes delicious. Menu offers a nice variety of dishes too. I specially like their frappes and sweet teas, katsu curry, bento boxes and sushi rolls. It's not fancy, very relaxed atmosphere for any time of day. They also do takeaway, shame I live too far 😢 although probably best for my wallet, as only I'd be too happy to live off their menu.

We dined in here a numerous times and food is always tasty but today's service was very dissapointing. My 4 years old daughter needed a emergency access to the restroom before we ordered the food however the staff was so unemphatetic and even the owners were not helpful to the point my daughter nearly had an accident. The dishes are always delicious, and there is a good range on the menu without losing focus. The salmon box is great, and salmon sashimi is always fresh. Tuna sashimi - less consistent. The beef brisket soup noodles was spot on, as were the stir fried beef ho-fun (staple remedy for homesickness) and the tom yum soup ramen. Super friendly and professional staff. We always feel feel right at home there due to the vibe and staff. But it's designed more as a quick stop than a sit down meal.

Food came cold. Egg fried rice was just boiled rice with maximum of 3 bits of egg with the rice. Prawn toast burnt, Two whole king prawnd in the K Prawn chow mein. Everything was disgusting. Never order again on a Monday when you're go to Chinese is shut. Absolute waste of money.

Waited over 2 hours for delivery. Live 5 minutes away. Staff were rude when rung after over an hour asking for an update or approximate time. Asked to cancel the order after 2 hours and they said it's 'on the way and hung up. Not even a big order
