My dad and I were only in Cardiff for the day and we wanted to have traditional fish and chips. It was cool to see them make it in front of you. Service was excellent and the portions were big. I got the Irish curry sauce with chips and nuggets. They give you a lot of curry sauce on the side. We found a park just up the road from the shop and ate our dinner there. Highly recommend this place if you’re a tourist. Much better than fast food.

This place has been recommended but I'm scared to even try because there are always two awful men outside cat-calling and harassing me when I walk past. I don't know if they're your staff or maybe it's you or maybe they're just two awful regulars but either way you should be aware that you have something driving away business and harrasing women on the street. You need to address this.

¡Pobre! Las camareras de bar necesitan aprender a servir una bebida con una sonrisa. ¡Los modales no cuestan nada! La vida de los chicos sonrientes no es tan mala. Una rodaja de limón no sale de tu salario 😅

Looking for a no frills cafe to grab a cooked breakfast and saw this place tucked down a quiet side street, just off the busier shopping area. First impressions were fine, standard greasy spoon vibes, just what I expected. One guy was working but seemed to be doing everything - serving, cooking, cleaning etc. I ordered a standard breakfast and tea for £9.50. Tea arrived quick and was OK, mug a bit tea stained but no biggie. Food took around 20 minutes to arrive, not the best as it wasn't busy. It was missing hash browns and the portion was small as it was. Beans were barely warm, mushrooms were freezing and had a tinned texture, sausage, egg and bacon were fine and the toast was, well... not toasted and buttered with cheap margarine so was cold and soggy. All in all a bit rubbish. I feel like the guy running the show on his own was stretched and really wasn't able to provide a decent service. I feel bad as it's clearly an independent business and times are hard, but as it is, I won't be returning and I cannot recommend it.
