Looking for a no frills cafe to grab a cooked breakfast and saw this place tucked down a quiet side street, just off the busier shopping area. First impressions were fine, standard greasy spoon vibes, just what I expected. One guy was working but seemed to be doing everything - serving, cooking, cleaning etc. I ordered a standard breakfast and tea for £9.50. Tea arrived quick and was OK, mug a bit tea stained but no biggie. Food took around 20 minutes to arrive, not the best as it wasn't busy. It was missing hash browns and the portion was small as it was. Beans were barely warm, mushrooms were freezing and had a tinned texture, sausage, egg and bacon were fine and the toast was, well... not toasted and buttered with cheap margarine so was cold and soggy. All in all a bit rubbish. I feel like the guy running the show on his own was stretched and really wasn't able to provide a decent service. I feel bad as it's clearly an independent business and times are hard, but as it is, I won't be returning and I cannot recommend it.

My husband and myself visit nearly every wkend for breakfast or lunch. The food is fresh and delicious and unlike some cafes it’s never greasy. The owners are friendly and the cafe is always clean.

The brunch was ok apart from the rubber tinned mushrooms. The bacon and egg sandwich decent too. What was more disappointing was the lack of soap , toilet roll and hand towels in the toilet. It was 2pm on a Saturday afternoon and they weren’t busy. Very poor show

If the breakfast didn’t taste half decent, this would have easily been a 1 star. 1 tea, 1 coffee, 2 Welsh breakfasts (with added black pudding and a hash brown) set us back just under £20 - which was a little bit of a shock, considering this looks like a cheap and cheerful greasy spoon. The cup the tea came in was DISGUSTING. The spoon the coffee came with, was FILTHY, with old food residue still stuck to it. The plates where thick with grease from the chefs hands. The table, the condiments have such think residue to them, I was practically sticking to them. It took over 30 minutes for food to arrive, it wasn’t busy - so that was a surprise. Whilst we already weren’t having a great experience, and wish we never sat down - 3 local junkies rock up, order their breakfast, roll up fags on their table and proceed to smoke them right by the front door to the Cafe, with the door open (as it’s a blistering hot day) - and that was the last straw, we left not finishing our breakfast as the smell of them smoking so close to our food was disgusting. Certainly won’t be coming here again. How it’s carrying a 5 star food hygiene rating god only knows!

Do not recommend. Food was awful, service was awful. I wish I hadn't gone. My omelette was flavourless and bland It was very clear that the man in charge didn't treat his workers well and that made me uncomfortable. 0/10 I'm afraid.

The food is good, but the communication isn’t. It’s not really professional. When the waitress that hasn’t talked or responded thanks, she then began rolling her eyes. What if she feeds her children?

Although it looks nice, the food is of a poor quality, if a chef is employed, then they are more of a cafe cook. Slops is all I can describe it as. The meal I had included Avacado, what I was serve
