Very busy Wetherspoons pub. Made up of rooms, with high windows. One with the bar. Seemed a little bit more like Dining rooms than an actual pub, but in fairness both the food and the staff were good.

A great place to stop and recharge. Food is nice, pub is big, plenty of seats available and service is good. Bar area can get busy which adds to the atmosphere

Visited this place on a wet and cold Friday evening..Staff were excellent..food was nice .. however..as it was dark ..I was unable to notice the signs in the car park from Euro Car Parks ..a few days later ..the invoice arrived explaining that because I had overstayed my welcome by 4 mins ..I had to pay them £ 45 for the privilege..upon reading other customers who were stung ..the pubs response was to encourage the customers to contact the pub manager...I duly went to the pub and spoke to the manager trying to explain that the 15 min grace period from entering the car park to registering my vehicle is not long enough as I had to remove my mobility scooter from the car and assemble it..then navigate my way into the pub...the managers response was " nothing to do with us mate..contact the car park company..." Well...this establishment will NEVER see the colour of what's left on my money ever again..and I've informed my friends and family who have also vowed to give this place a wide berth .

Las reglas de Parking Eye establecen que usted DEBE ingresar la matrícula de su vehículo dentro de los 15 minutos posteriores al estacionamiento. sin embargo. . no hay excepción permitida para el retiro y montaje de. Scooter de movilidad. . luego encontrar una plaza de aparcamiento. . al revisar incidentes anteriores. . el pub anima a los denunciantes a contactar con el gerente del pub en primera instancia. . Eso hice... el gerente se negó a escucharme... y me dijo en términos claros que "no tiene nada que ver conmigo amigo... contacta a la compañía de estacionamientos" y luego fue a servir a los clientes... así que... Not the usual speedy service that you expect at Wetherspoons. We waited approx. 50 minutes for two breakfasts. Tables dirty, messy everywhere and only about half full. Would not recommend visiting this one unfortunately.

Waited 45 minutes for beans and toast and 55 minutes for an average stake with salad. I'm definitely not coming back.

Had a lovely breakfast, good value, really decent size & very quick service. Only gripe was, would rather a portion of button / sliced mushrooms instead of a SINGLE, whole flat mushroom.

Great place to grab an inexpensive meal and a pint. They usually have sport on the TV on match days, and being a Wetherspoons, the drinks are reasonably priced. One point regarding food though.... Don't order drinks first! As the meals now tend to come with a drink included, so if you don't plan to drink at least two pints, you will be wasting your 'included' drink with your meal.... There are some parking spaces and there is usually room to park, enter your reg no at the bar to get free parking. There are some outside tables for when the weather is good

Classic spoons experience. Regards to parking. Despite the signage saying 3 hours maximum as long as you register your details in the bar anpr computer you can stay all day. Great if your visiting the local hospital and could be here for more than 3 hours. If you scan the photo below you can register their without having to go to the bar each time. Best pint of Rumney Export ever at this the only Rumney Brewery pub in Cardiff City. Proper pub atmosphere with a roaring fire 🔥 when cold outside.

Be aware that if anyone visits and park their cars for a while in the car park you will most likely be receiving an extortionate fine in the post for doing so! My Wife and her friends spent a few hours catching up on things as they only see each other a few times a year so had lots to catch up on. They’ve all received extortionate fines from Parking Eye for visiting their establishment! Our families used to visit very often and spend a great deal of money there, after this experience we will no longer visit! Will be informing friends and relatives too who will undoubtedly cease to visit!

Nunca comí porciones tan pequeñas. Pide un curry con patatas fritas. Tenía 8 patatas fritas en mi plato, lo mismo para la hamburguesa y patatas fritas. Pedí un poco más de salsa y le dije que era £ 1 algo extra 100% de descuento. Cuando pedí más patatas fritas, la camarera se fue. No lo haré de nuevo.

Pleasantly surprised!! Not a massive spoons fan, but today the food (mixed grill that includesld a pint, I chose alcohol free Guinness) All for less than 20 quid food was excellent, hot fresh and fast service.

Pretty standard pub. Prices are amazing!! Went w my friends and the place was very busy. It was quite hard to get seats but overall it was a good experience. The only issue was the portioning of food,I think it could've been slightly better. Plus the service time was quite slow but it was understandable because of how busy it was! The drinks however were amazing!! Definitely will come again :)

Como esto es local para nosotros utilizamos el pub de forma regular. El personal es increíble y presta atención a los detalles. Grita a Megan y Shay. También las alitas de pollo son increíbles, así que recomiendo encarecidamente, bien hecho al personal de la cocina, pero me hace romper mi dieta y sí que vale la pena. Llevamos muchos años yendo y nunca tuvimos una queja. Muy recomendable.

Food is so food at a low cost, will be coming back weekly still, breakfast is uneatable! Reason why i dont buy cereal in my house, this place is the best . So cheap and the environment is decent.

Last Experience approx. 6 months ago was the waiting & quality of food. Unfortunately my partner liked this place more than me so convinced me to try it again - OMG BIG MISTAKE!!!! Partner took me out instead of cooking tonight - WELL! Honestly was not a treat - more like a PUNISHMENT!!. My starter arrived after 20 mins. Waiting and Waiting and Waiting for my partners starter. Spoke to SEVERAL staff??? Finished my starter still waiting - EVENTUALLY found out it was not ordered by new member of staff?? Manager stated VERY abruptly - 'It is his first week!!! Well Supervise him then - practice on someone else!!! Partners starter - finally arrived. Waited, Waited Waited for mains - had to ask several staff again 'Hellooooo! where are our mains?? on way apparently. 20 minutes later, Not sure how far away the kitchen is?? they arrived stone cold. Honestly Really had enough by now - Left the food - Complained big time - No Apology - Absolute Joke. WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN.

Ordered steak and kidney pudding, opened up the pud and there was hardly any filling in it, the mash potato was a small scoop squashed to the plate to make it look bigger. The staff (man/boy) looked liked he lost a fiver, couldn’t even make a conversation with him, he should NOT be in hospitality. What an awful place, staff need to be taught manners.

As they go, this 'Spoons is well worth a visit and we were surprised to see a pretty enclosed courtyard. Lots of Interesting posters describing local history, which is brilliant, but a fruit machine in front of that describing Aneurin Bevan meant the most significant was not readable!

Great staff my curry was ok not hot enough.

We popped in for a drink before going for a meal. There was a long wait, even though there were three staff behind the bar, BUT only one serving I had a pint of stella it was like water and didnt taste like larger the Mrs had a glass of wine and said tastes strange what's going on? Maybe pipes need a claen, or it's NOT stella coming out of the line.

Nothing wrong in my opinion with the pub itself, but be very wary of the parking. I came here with a friend to have a chat over some food. To enter the carpark, you have to come off one if the busiest roundabouts in Cardiff. I did not see the sign as its pointed a different direction to the entrance in. Same with the one in the way out. I stayed a little while, a few hours. Did not notice any other signs about maximum of 3 hours stay (which is stupid in my opinion) Ended up getting a £75 fine, for both myself and my friend each. Because of this, I'm never coming here again. I understand people may park here and leave the car there all day, but I didn't. I stayed inside, eating and drinking. Yet, even after trying to appeal, I still had to pay it. People may say it was my own fault for "not paying attention to the signs" My view is, if I'm carefully driving into a car park of a major road that my concentration should be on the road, not signs that are too high and pointing the wrong direction anyways.

Great for what you want, not much atmosphere as there's no music / sport but you make your own, right? Good beer garden for the summer with great drink prices. Also seems to be the only spoons with downstairs toilets.

Travelled down to Cardiff today and decided we wanted somewhere quick easy and reasonably priced to eat, came to The Aneurin Bevin Weatherspoons and the food was phenomenal and the service was quick and very friendly! The food was without a doubt the best I’ve ever had in a weatherspoons pub and I would highly recommend it to anyone that’s looking for something cheap and cheerful.

Female Manager has a disgusting attitude on her. After being served on multiple occasions and then deciding not to serve us. Wouldnt provide us with a plastic cup after serving us but telling us to leave, to then have an altercation with other party member and have personal issue with us all! Not very proffesional. Disappointing representation of a 'manager'

As far as weatherspoons go, it’s quick easy and cheap. Only popped in but service was quick and polite. Ain’t no 5star dinning but it’s perfect for quick lunch if you’re not fussy or don’t want to spend more then £10! This weatherspoons in general was clean, quiet and pretty nice.

Want to start of by saying if i could give this place zero stars i would, After ordering our food together some of our food come on time but then other proceeded to wait another 20 minutes before enquiring to the duty manager where are food is, she become aggressive and abusive with no warning after asking where are food is, The duty manager then started to threaten us with life time ban and letters to our addresses detailing the life time ban also that we were going to get escorted off the premises. I think this is disgusting as i only asked where my food was, to add we are all over the age of 65 and just wanted to have a nice meal on 09/05/2024 which was spoilt by a power trip duty manager who needs be re trained at best.

During a business trip I stayed at the Village Hotel. Since I didn't want to go into the crowded city center of Cardiff on a Friday night, I decided to go to this pub, which is only about 5 km from the hotel. The establishment was well attended and noisy, but there were still few free tables. The pub consists of several rooms and winding corridors, so you can also choose a quieter spot in a corner. I ordered ten chicken wings with blue cheese sauce and a buttermilk chicken burger with fries and a drink. The drink and food were delivered in a reasonable time. The chicken wings were hot, crispy and meaty and had a pleasant flavor. The sauce, however, had almost no taste. The burger was okay, but the chicken was too dry. At no time did the waiter come to the table and ask if everything was okay with the food, the table was also not cleaned. Of course, we know that Wetherspoons doesn't stand for the best quality and service, but they could really put a little more effort into it to make this a better place.

Great Wetherspoons. Lunch time visit. Very clean, very warm atmosphere, great service and take good food. Be careful you don't miss the entrance to the car park when coming off the roundabout though.

Used to be our local pub for years. Quality was going down,so we decided not to come here, we returned today after a year and a half horrible experience. I would not recommend it to anyone to eat or drink in here! After this long time, dirty dishes were everywhere, and stuff could not care less about anything. Ordered a Warm Brownie... I got an ice-cold one. Stuff walked off. I need it to chace her so I can speak up. When I did, making faces and challenging if it's really cold. Come back with a clearly microwave mess and walk off! Complaints have been made, and we received a horrible attitude. It's one of the worst pub in Cardiff!

This is usually a good place to eat and drink but the duty manager this evening was very rude when we advised that the food was overcooked. She proceeded to tell us that the medium rare steak which was so burnt that it had turned to char on the outside was likely to have pink bits in the middle. Her attitude towards customers was as if we had no right to tell her that the food was not up to standard. Very poor considering she was the duty manager. Will avoid in future as there are far better places to eat locally.

Had onion rings and drinks here while waiting to collect someone. Forgot to register our car in the car park though and only realised when we left so we went back and spoke to a member of staff who said 'don't worry about it' but I am worried I'm going to get a fine. Anyone know if it will be OK and I won't get a fine.

I visited with friends from dental school for lunch and a Beer... Good 4h free parking outside but like most of these chain pubs this one inside is pretty soulless with a cut and paste menu and decorations. Lunch Menü OK incl. added drinks. Pick Up and pay. Tablet serviced. Fish&Chips OK. Burger medium. Curry specially Katsu Not really recommended.

Came here for breakfast with family, lovely pub. The toilets weren’t either up/down a flight of stairs which was a nice change, staff were nice food was slightly cold. Parking is tricky as it’s on a roundabout

Average Wetherspoons with national beer choice and only 1 or 2 local ales. New manager Dan. Still there after a couple of years. We'll see any if there are any changes soon. I suspect Tim Martin controls what happens closely in any pub. Breakfast was good today, and coffee machines were serving at different temperatures. At least they had chocolate in them this time. Improved on last time.

I visited with friends for a breakfast and a catch-up. Like most of these chain pubs they a pretty soulless with a cut and paste menu and decorations. The same, quiet music is playing and even the seats are generic. I grew up visiting proper valley pubs and rugby clubs with weird, random but unique personalities so I don't really see the appeal with a weatherspoons as anything other than a big posh cafe that serves beer. In your 'local' you can get a bit of small talk and banter with the staff but in these places they are blank faced robots with no personalities who probably don't know the regulars names or what they do for a living. The breakfast was really good but I can't get past the cafe with beer feeling.

Can't fault this place, it's a good example of a busy Wetherspoons, turning into car park can be a bit 'hairy' prepare for it and you'll be fine. Food, mainly breakfasts I've had, is tasty and cheap I think. Love it. Good coffee too.

You're average Spoons chain, interior decor hasn't changed in the last decade plus, so could do with a refresh but apart from that fairly standard.

I have been rather pleased with the service and treatment here for the few times I visited the pub!

The food I ordered came out 25 mins after my partners, we both ordered at the same time to the same table. Once the food arrived it was stone cold. The food wasn’t up to scratch and nor was the service. The employers look miserable & the place was left a tip! there was food and leftovers on plates EVERYWHERE with flies flying around the tables. It was so unclean and unkept. I would like a full refund as I didn’t end up finishing my meal as it was cold & I didn’t want to risk making myself ill. I know it’s wetherspoons and not a 5* restaurant but I am disgraced with the service here. I used to work for this company and would never deliver service like this. Appalling.
