So we booked Saturday afternoon a table for 5 to celebrate my father in laws 82nd birthday! Having been once before we knew we were in for a treat. We were met with a warm welcome by Ollie who was front of house! We were instantly taken in by his charm and humour. His service and patience was impeccable. Our variety of starters arrived and were amazing. We had focaccia, fish cakes, rarebit, salmon and Halloumi which were all outstanding and cooked to perfection! Plenty of Rose wine which was reasonably priced helped to cleanse the palettes ready for the main course. Plenty of choice made it difficult to decide on what to choose. One of our group was a pescatarian and he said the menu had some good meal options. He chose the Ramen, the rest had chicken schnitzel, venison and brisket. All presented and cooked to perfection. Portion sizes were just right and the wait times between courses were good as you didn’t feel rushed and the wait was not too long that you were sat waiting. Ollie was very attentive and always made sure our glasses were topped up and kept the wine flowing. The icing on the cake was the birthday desert that came out as a nice surprise for my father in law. Such a nice touch which went above and beyond. This restaurant has got everything just right. The value for money is unbelievable. We cannot wait to visit again soon! Thanks…… Linda

While killing time in Wrexham stumbled across this little cafe tucked away at the entrance to a arcade which leads to Wrexham Indoor Market. The patisserie is on street level but upstairs there is a little cafe which served a delicious breakfast just as your mum would make you when you were a schoolboy. Big chunks of toast followed by scrambled eggs. The coffee was excellent all for less than £10.

Don’t we all love a spoons? Had a lot of good times in the north and south bank spent with friends. Very good value and the food is surprisingly nice. Sometimes the queue can be edging on the ludicrous on a Saturday night but that’s the same with everywhere. The only real downside is that it isn’t open 24/7!
