Last time we came in 2 years ago, food was OK and service not too bad. Today there was 1 member of staff on. Tables hadn't been cleared either. Bought a Cheese and Bacon Burger. It was OK but tasted more like McDonalds than a pub lunch. Would have been cheaper to eat there.

Just paid £5.75 for a 'Classic Lasagne'. There was nothing classic about that ping food. Nor was there any taste.

It is always a good idea if you're in a rush and you need to eat something quick and also cheap! Just don't expect to be a fancy restaurant because for that you would pay 3 times more!!!

Fui acompañada de un compañero de clase porque él siempre comía ahí el plato de lasaña, mucha cantidad y muy barato. Yo no comí lasaña porque por en la misma oferta tienen más platos a elegir.

The food here is good value for money. One gets the usual pub favourites - fish and chips, sausages and mash, burgers and chips, which are well presented.

Was passing through town and me and my girlfriend stopped for a quick bite, should have walked straight back out as the bar was full of drunkards and the place stank, I leaned on the bar and nearly had a free wax treatment on my arms as I peeled my arms off the bar as it felt like it hasn't been cleaned for a few days, we ordered food and within minutes it was at the table which I see is never a good sign, my burger was burnt but cold as was my partners, will safely say I won't be going there again for food but the night life is decent? If your into that?

Enticed into the establishment by "50% Off" we had to eat in filthy conditions, have a girl who barely looked old enough to buy scratch cards offer an extremely condescending service and stone cold food. I'd rather pay to eat faeces.

Tried the lunchtime £1.99 hunters chicken with a pint of blackcurrant and soda all for a combined total of £2.99. quick service and the food is fine for the price of a tesco sandwich you can eat a meal out you honestly can't beat it. Not the best food ever but at the price you really can't complain!

I liked the food and service. The only dissapointment was the toilet for disabled. It was being used by men who may not have had a disability .The problem was the state of the toilet , it was disgusting covered in Urine over the toilet and over the floor it was dreadful stench. You said 'we've had problems with it '.Well cleanliness is not a problem a cleaning utensil service would be sufficient.

Average chain pub average menu with average to poor quality food. Floor and most tables sticky. Toilets grubby. Ok as a place to meet up for drinks or as a stop on a night out. Overall a decidedly average pub just what I have come to expect of a yates.

Have visited yates a few times in the last couple of months and have had the offer of the week/day special, today was lasagne with a couple of slices garlic bread, for £1.99, we were also offered chips on the side for 50p extra each, which we had, really enjoyed the meal and was really filling. yes that is the usual price for the offer, have had it a few times last time we visited it wad sausage and mash with onion gravy for this price, you can't go wrong we have had some really good food at a really good price, wouldn't hesitate on recomending this place, if you want restraunt standards pay there prices if you want good pub grub at an excellent price, look no further.

We booked a table for 15 for Mothers day. When we arrived the table wasn't ready but I have to say we were 15 minutes early so we weren't too bothered by this. When we were eventually told we could go and sit down we found there were 5 seperate tables instead of one big one. Being British we didn't complain. But it went from bad to worse after that. We had arranged for a set menu: Sunday roast with a free dessert for £4.45, one mum in 3 goes free and a free bottle of bubbly for a table of 3. which in itself is very good value although I am a vegetarian there was no veggie option on the deal which by law there should be. Anyway we were told there was only turkey and the beef would be about an hour. My sister complained that we had booked the meal far enough in advance for sufficient planning on their side. We didn't get any explanation from the deputy manager and the meat eaters settled disgruntingly for turkey as there didn't seem to be much choice. Some time later we were told there was 7 beef and 7 turkey which led to a debate to see who would settle for what. The food was slow in coming and by some miracle there was beef a plenty, in fact people who didn't want beef got it. On a smaller scale one of our group asked for horse radish but there was none available. We were only given 2 bottles of "champagne" (cheap fizzy wine but we didn't expect anything else price wise). I enquired about it and asked for 2 more bottles as stated in the set menu, we were given 3.Affter a long period we were asked what sweet we would like and that there were only certain desserts available and it was all down to the manager who hadn't turned in to work and had double booked. We ordered from the limited choice and sat and waited yet again. Then we were told the chocolate brownies which several people had ordered were now gone! By this time we were quite speechless and after several visits to the bar to talk to the deputy manager we were none the wiser. Orders arrived with no choice on what it was served with, we were all served custard. To end it all we were overcharged!!!On a positive note we couldn't fault the food at all.It was tasty. I recommend you visit in groups of 3 or less. We most certainly will not be going there in a large group again.

Don’t we all love a spoons? Had a lot of good times in the north and south bank spent with friends. Very good value and the food is surprisingly nice. Sometimes the queue can be edging on the ludicrous on a Saturday night but that’s the same with everywhere. The only real downside is that it isn’t open 24/7!

This pub is no longer an Indian Restaurant/ Pub It has been taken over by a very reputable company and is being run brilliantly by Nancy Jones and her under manager Gemma. Mike has been kept on because of his excellent input. The pub has been rejuvenated since the new regime , and now is a truly Community pub. I have been regularly using this pub for 52 years and have not seen it this good since the days of the Moores and Bob and Sue. Good luck to the new management and roll on when the kitchen re-opens even if it’s only for bar snacks.
