Café is very dog friendly and the food was amazing. It was a cold winter’s day when we visited and the Café was so warm and welcoming. Highly recommend the French Toast, with bacon (for meat eaters like me) and the home made shortbread was one of the best I’ve had; it was a chunk rather that a small slice. We would highly recommend this café as well as a visit to Linlithgow.

Had come highly recommended by friends but was a little disappointing, some of us ordered soup with bread and the rest of us ordered soup with half sandwich, seemed expensive for what we had when paid bill including the teas and coffees and the cake from display. A shame wasn't a bit cheaper as otherwise would consider going back when next up. The only small thing is it was quite cold and noticed quite a number of people still wearing their coats in the cafe.

I’d booked this for my birthday lunch for 5 of us having looked at the menu and thinking there’d be something for everybody. Don’t get me wrong, we were all quite excited by the lovely menu. Unfortunately the food quality was really poor. We each ordered burgers. The buffalo burger had hot sauce as you’d expect from a buffalo burger. However, the buffalo fries had some strange cheese mayo tasting mild sauce so that was one person disappointed. The truffle fried are usually a menu favourite wherever I go but these were coated in black pepper which I really don’t like and is not usual for truffle fries. Someone ordered the special which had apple in it, which sounded interesting but didn’t go with the flavours - would’ve been better on the side. The coleslaw tasted cheap and shop bought and very vinegary. I expected more creamy homemade coleslaw. The burgers themselves were made of cheap, very processed meat. For the price, we found that quite shocking as we could’ve (should have) gone to another place nearby more known for their burgers who don’t charge much more but are of top quality. The building and interior itself is really lovely. I just felt bad that I’d chosen this place for us to go and it wasn’t great. Maybe the brunch is better but I doubt I’d bother visiting again.

Linlithgow in Scotland is a lovely place, for its warm atmosphere, its historical significance and delicious British and Scottish cuisine. They offer dishes such as haggis pancakes, fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding. The quality is higher than the average pub. The environment is quiet and familiar, perfect for a relaxing evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful, offering excellent service. Prices are reasonable, with main courses costing around £8. All very nice experience to do again and which I recommend.
