We stopped by for lunch on a cold day. Were welcomed straight away and seated. Lunch menu was good with a decent choice of food. We ordered the soup and cheese scone (me) and husband had the smoked salmon omelette. Both were very good. Didn't wait for coffee but might try that next time. Cakes looked nice too. Bella the dog made us very welcome!

Lovely reception when we arrived, cakes and tray bakes were amazing, my friend ordered a hot chocolate which was served in a very large glass mug and my friend said it was sooo good, i ordered tea which came in a glass pot with certainly a large amount as normally if i go anywhere for tea i usually have to ask for an extra hot water to top the tea pot up but not this time, it was lovely to see little taster samples which my granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed. Staff were very pleasant and the cafe and toilet were very clean, will certainly go back to sample their afternoon teas.

This was mentioned by staff at the nearby palace and was well worth the visit. Good coffee with excellent tray bakes and lovely staff. Note change of name

This cafe is now known as Crannog Cafe. We made use of the Eat Out programme today. We both had toasties with salad with coffee and cakes to follow. All were delicious. The service was excellent and very friendly. Shona the new owner is making a great success of her new venture. We will certainly return.

Today was my first visit this to this cafe and I would definitely go back. I had a perfect bacon roll with a pot of tea and my friend enjoyed a delicious homemade scone and coffee. The service was very friendly and efficient. The menu includes a wide range of options which are very reasonably priced.

Enjoyed our coffee stop at The Cafe Delights on Linlithgow High street. We were met at the till and asked what we wanted by the friendly staff. They explained what cakes they had highlighting the homemade ones. We were then asked us for our coffee requirements then showed us to table. Piping hot coffee and delicious cakes arrived in a timely manner. We had a nice chat with the staff as we paid for the reasonable priced coffee. We certainly be back.

Shonagh Brown has taken over the cafe delights. We visited there today and sampled her lentil soup and homemade cakes. Both were delicious. Shonagh has a great reputation in the town with her catering business. We wish her every success in her new venture. Give her a try you won’t be disappointed

Compared to other establishments down the Linlithgow strip, this place seemed the most reasonably priced, and so we went on in. We absolutely weren’t disappointed! The food was great. My wife’s lasagne was fantastic and my filled roll was great. Would 100% recommend you visit this bustling little cafe!!

If you go here, dont order coffee. The man making a takeaway coffee did not bother to use a thermometer or his hand to test milk temperature. I took my first sip very gingerly and thought temperature was fine, although burnt. The second big mouthful of coffee (as I assumed it was fine) has left me with the worst and most painful burns in my mouth I have ever had. I can't even eat. I am sure I'm not the only person who this would have happened to here. The menu was uninviting and the staff pushy for me to take a seat.

The owners in this cafe give you a special welcome. All the produce is home cooked and baked. Scones etc are always fresh and light. It is excellent value. The special board is full of tasty lunches. Well worth a visit.

Terrible experience. Facebook page said it opened at 11am, it didn’t open until 12, the closed sign stayed on the door until the 4th customer entered and asked if it was open. Took 20mins to get a coffee although we were the only people there. I ordered all day breakfast plus size (extra £3) but the menu didn’t say what you get for an extra £3. It was one piece of haggis & one piece of black pudding, both weren’t great. Sausage was cheap, the egg was overcooked and crispy on the bottom, beans were watery, bacon ok. I asked for toast. It came on top of the breakfast which made it soggy, i had to ask for butter and a side plate for the toast, i got possibly stork, it certainly wasn’t butter, i had to ask for the plate twice. Still only two of us to serve. The salad roll was ok, the coleslaw wasn’t coleslaw, it was chopped up lettuce & cucumber with mayo. It came to £22.00 Not worth the money, service was poor although it was a nice setting. I paid with cash (2x £20 notes) they didn’t have change. I was given £8.00 change and informed the staff i was £10 short. They didn’t have anymore change in the till. Between two staff to ‘mustered’ up a £10.00 note between them. Really really poor you cannot it right (never mind wrong a few times) with two staff for only two customers. I wouldn’t go back if the food was free.

A lovely space, with delicious burgers. It’s about a 30-40 min walk from Linlithgow along the canal. I had the Black & Blue burger with the upgrade to loaded Buffalo fries, which were delicious. My partner had the vegetable enchilada, which lacked spice but was otherwise delicious. They are happy to cater to various dietary requirements. They also allow hosting events, two were on while we were there and there was still plenty of room to sit. Dogs are ok outside. Recommend!
