First time I've been to the this place very clean and food very good. Marked this 3 out of 5 as found the staff eaten behind the counter a bit off putting. Surely you can eat out of the food preparation area. Wouldnt stop me trying it again though.

The meal was excellent and the food stunning. The newly refurbished clubhouse looked great and with about 20 others the atmosphere was good. Great views over the course. Best thing was the range of food available and the worst was the huge portions!! Fantastic value for money. The service was extremely friendly and very helpful. Happy people!! The "secret eatery" in Kirriemuir which is not well known with the public. The range of drinks available is also great at good prices. Everyone should try it and then become a social member for not much! Well done to the staff.

loved the scenery, loved the food, staff were excellant, and they had a great sense of humour, sitting at the log fire in entrance late at night was very relaxing.

Forget fish and chips. If this place is open go in a buy a smokie to eat on the harbour. Get it split and microwaved. I paid £7.50 for mine which is more than a couple of years ago but it is well worth it. See picture. Very friendly and helpful staff. I was the man on his way down from Aberdeen!

Random stop before hiking. It looked crowded which is always a good sign. Incredibly friendly servers, great coffee and pastries AND a beautiful view looking out on the back terrace.

Called in whiskey walking . Had a cheese and onion toastie . It was nice enough but not much taste . Also a cheese and pickle sandwich. Fresh bread but again not much taste . Coffees were nice . We had a scone which wasn’t very good 3/10 for that . Came in cardboard recycling boxes . A bit overkill . Overall prices not bad on the food but can of Fanta was £2.30 . Fair enough you pay more on an island but that’s a bit extreme. Staff were friendly.

Pub molto caratteristico a Dundee. Lo consiglio per gli hamburger davvero ottimi! Vicino al centro e all’’Università di Dundee. Prezzi nella norma.

I stayed here for 2 nights on a room only basis. I was in Arbroath to watch football. The hotel is in the Town centre. I had a warm welcome when I got there. The room was more than adequate for my requirements, ensure with tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel had a downstairs bar and varied menu to choose from. Overall, it was value for money and there are plentynof pubs and eating places nearby.

Lovely small cafe and shop beside a large Cattle and Sheep Auction Market. They do all kinds of delicatessen foods to sell, plus Suki tea and tea pots. Food is good and simple with good cakes as well.

My second visit to The Woodsman and, once again, I could not fault the delicious food with its hearty portions and the service by a very pleasant member of staff. This was a treat for me for Mothers Day and it could not have been more perfect.

We recently had dinner at Fonab Castle Brasserie and were left feeling somewhat underwhelmed. Our table was booked for 7pm. By 7:45pm we had been served, and finished, our starters and main courses. What’s the rush? Almost immediately the waitress asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu and looked somewhat panicked when we asked for a 10 minute rest. In the end we were all done by 8:30pm. This is not by any means a 5 star experience. The food is ok, served good and hot but a little dated in style for our taste. My venison was overcooked and therefore dry, the accompanying parsnip a bit undercooked and therefore hard. The choice of non alcoholic beverages is limited. The meal was expensive at over £160 for two people with two glasses of wine and a shared dessert and no coffee. The service is well intentioned but knowledge seemed limited particularly around the wines. All in all it’s not for us and we won’t return.
