Wonderful place with amazingly delicious food, great atmosphere and kind and very friendly service. Thank you so much for making our day and feeding a hungry couple after a long day! ☺️

Was a table of 7. Had 6 starters all ok apart from the sticky chicken which was very dry. Steaks were pretty tough (X2) but cooked as requested, gammon was over cooked and very dry. Potatoes with sea bass were raw in the middle. Should have complained at the time but awkward when you have taken guests for a meal. The service on the other hand was impeccable, with good banter and very attentive. (I forget the gents name but was from paris) 3 stars is probably generous for the food as lots of choice in helensburgh, but the waiter made the night.

We only had coffee but it was really well made and not too expensive. There was a small range of fresh cakes. The rest of the menu looked good. The café is next to the marina so very convenient for that, but it is worth stopping of you are driving past. At the time of our visit the café was open Weds-Sun only, which may be a business necessity, but it is unlikely to help the business grow.

We had lunch here today as the Continental was closed. We were pleasantly surprised after reading the bad reviews. I had a ham salad sandwich on granary bread. It was really substantial. Full to the brim with ham, lettuce, onion, tomato, cucumber and red pepper and only £3.80. My husband had a fish finger sandwich which contained four fish fingers in a large roll. We had a bottle of sparkling water and the total came to less than £10. Our order came in about ten minutes so the service wasn't bad at all.

Visited for breakfast, dog friendly table at window which was ideal as was nervous of the seagulls near the outside seating. Breakfast items were good quality, especially bacon and sausage (Callghans Butchers think it said) all very much enjoyed. Only feedback would be the tiny toilet that is a challenge to move around in as it is so narrow and small this won't be accessible for all.

Oh Dear Lord, a truly, I was going to say uneatible meal, but I guess maybe, if I was one of the millions of starving folk in the world, I would have lower expectations. A bit of advice.. don’t order the steak and kidney pie… not even able to confirm the peas, I suggest you ask for the mashed potatoes and stick to that !

Great conversation I’m from America and treated us like we were from the town of Helensburgh. Let us try a dish for free for our first time.
