Went on a Tuesday night to watch champions league. From Manchester was welcomed by the landlord very chatty and friendly. Excellent pint of Guinness. Quiet atmosphere

The place has a nice vibe, and the service was good, we were a party of 10 with no booking, and it was fine. I ordered the "Spanish chicken." It mentioned chorizo on the menu, which drew me in. A chicken supreme on a bed of mash potato, with cheese sauce and fried crispy onion bits arrived. Portion size was good, but I could not see or taste any chorizo. Someone who ordered a different chicken dish ended up with something very similar. I was disappointed that there was not a vegetable or bit of salad to be found.

This is a review of the supermarket. Sainsburys are relentless about their drive to inconvenience their shoppers. At 7pm on the 03/09/24 they closed down the manned tills. This means that if you have a full trolly you have to check yourself out at the self check outs designed for customers with a basket of shopping. Firstly, I object to having to "check my shopping out" Secondly the facilities to check out a full trolly loaded with shopping is woefully inadequate. This is a cost cutting exercise by Sainsburys, they may say "it's the way the market is going" but that's their cost cutting excuse. By introducing this 7 pm change it discriminates against me when they still provide manned tills before this cut off. If they closed down all their manned tills, they would loose the majority of their customers. For me, that was the last time I will ever shop in Sainsburys, any Sainsburys. I've been shopping with them since this store opened.
