One of the best ham and cheese toastie I've had, their sweet bakes etc are always really tasty and seem to be changed regularly, the sitting area is lovely and cosy and their drinks menu is always interesting and the prices are fair too

Lovely staff, nice food and very reasonably priced. But would love to see some vegan options added to the menu it would bring in a lot of business:)

Friend and myself visited Gatto,s on Friday night past, ordered a Rib Eye steak each can honestly say that the steaks were of very poor quality, at least 25% was hard fat/grizzle which was left on the plate, 2 x £30 - not good. Informed waiter who didn't seem to concerned, no apology, got bill, paid and left, maybe should have ordered a pizza !! won't be back.

So excited to finally go here with my daughter but the experience wasn't what I expected. For the prices there is no table service you have to order at the till. I was not advised correctly when asking about the Spanish hot chocolate. It isn't a drink it comes in a bowl for dipping biscuits in. I specifically asked was it like a normal hot chocolate you could drink and was told yes. I ordered coffee and 2 savoury pancakes. Paying by card I was asked to select what tip I wanted to leave. Feeling like I had no option I left one. Then we waited on our food. I had to go and order tea after the "drinks" arrived as the Spanish hot chocolate is not a drink and leave another tip. We waited again and after 35 minutes of waiting I asked for a refund. To be told that the food order hadn't been sent to the kitchen. We didn't have time to wait any longer. When the refund was being done they didn't ask what of your tip you would like refunded. I don't mind paying for service but we didn't get any. Can't review the food as we didn't get any of that. Won't be back. Sometimes best to stick to the places you know.

Chocoa used to be the place to go for amazing hot chocolate in Ballymena, but it's really gone downhill recently. Before they closed the bistro, the quality had already started slipping. The service became sloppy, and the cosy vibe that made it special just wasn't there anymore. The hot chocolate itself, which used to be rich and delicious, became hit or miss—sometimes too sweet, other times thin and bland. Now they've shut the doors and moved online, which honestly just feels like a letdown. Hot chocolate is something you want to enjoy in a nice, warm setting, not from a delivery box. It's sad to see a place that was once great lose its touch. If this is the direction they're heading in, it’s hard to get excited about what they’re offering now.

Caramel squares big let down. Exp 03/06/20 this 16th May 2020 shortbread like a brick caramel not great. Very unimpressed. There was 3 squares had nearly a 1cm thick of caramel 1 had barely 4mm. Pending on how the food was handled after it left the bakery it tastes out of date.If it was good id say its good but its not.2 of the squares didnt have the top covered with chocolate. If i try again some time and its good i will give a great review.

Normally for us the Go Sun is the go to Chinese Restaurant in Ballymena. Never had a bad meal in it. Last night however, we deicded following a visit to the cinema, to just get a small takeaway for myself. I had a cream of chicken soup and a small sliced chicken, fried rice and curry sauce. After getting home I found them to be absolutely awful. The cream of chicken soup which is normally gorgeous tasted like it was made with vinegar and i couldn't more than two mouthfulls (the second was just to make sure I wasnt imagining it). The chicken in the other dish was nice enough but the fried rice was stodgy and tasteless. I will go to the Go Sun again to make sure it was just a one off, but one more chance will be all it gets. Update: Last Saturday night we finally had a chance to revisit the Go Sun, this time for a sit in. The place was pretty busy as there seemed to be a couple of parties in. Nevertheless the staff who are alway pleasant and efficient managed to get us a table for two. Was it any better than our previous meal? Unfortunately not. I am not sure what has happened with the GoSun but the quality of food has seriously gone down hill. I had the Chicken soup as a starter and whereas the last time it tasted like vinegar this time it was so sweet i thought there was a bag of sugar in it. My wife had the spare ribs which although they looked nice when they arrived, where very tough when trying to eat them. My wife for her main had the special fried rice which was very stodgy and she could only manage a half plate before giving up. I had the Sweet and Sour Hong Kong style with fried rice and if anything mine was worse than my wifes. Rice was again very stodgy and the chicken was so tough that it was a struggle to get a knife through it. I am afraid that this was the second and last chance with the GoSun. It has gone fromt he go to place to have a chinese in Ballymena to a poor reflection of what it was with the same high prices. My only surprise is why so many still go there.
