I choos the Cafe for the nviting green welcoming colour which was matched by the beaming smile from Kyle as we entered. Quality ingredients lovingly prepared our tasty food was delicious and oozed quality. We spoke with Kyle was explained where the ingredients were sourced. The black pudding & bacon were from the local butcher who was also a farmer! The Oat milk cappuccino I had was delicious. I had poached eggs the best smoked bacon along with the tastiest black pudding, again sourced from local butcher. A great trio of local eateries all supporting each other in the street. Martin & Kyle we’re proud of their establishment & this shone through in their warm welcoming approach to their customers. Would thoroughly recommend you eat here. We shall return, dogs welcome too.Thank you gents a wonderful experience.

If you want to enjoy fine dining without the faff then Chart Farm Kitchen is the place. Located at Chart Farm, Dom and the guys are putting together, clever, well conceived and challenging menu. Cooked mainly using traditional charcoal and smoking technique, you are in a for a treat. A seven course menu at a fixed price (April 22 £75/pp) that will challenge your palate and your imagination, The menu changes every month so you never get tired of the same old thing. You are seated at the same time as other diners and served at the same time, so please be ready to be seated no later than 7:30pm on Friday evening. Don't expect the posh linen and the fine silver, this is not what you are coming to Chart Farm Kitchen. You are coming to try something different, enticing and will make you beg for more. The wine list is carefully chosen to match the meal to perfection. If you are a steak lover than I recommend wholeheartedly Steak Night on the Wednesday. Being located at a farm you will not disappointed with the quality of the meat, the fries and the lovely seasonal vegetables. Really I should not give this glowing review for fear that it might take me ages to book a table again, but really this place should go for a Michelin rating. Parking is ample on site. Book early to avoid disappointment the waiting list is long.

I wanted to introduce my daughter in law's parents to Chloe's. They have just moved to Ipswich but came to see me today in Brantham. We just wanted a quick lunch after a chilly shopping morning. Us 2 ladies had a lovely home made fish pie, there were plenty of prawns and a lot of other fish in a very tasty sauce. It was served with roasted diced potatoes, a nicely browned potatoes on top and fresh vegetables. The individual dish with a nicely browned mash potatoes on top. It was served in a very hot individual oval dish, which was presented piping hot which always pleases me. Our vegetarian friend had a tuna and sweet corn panini, salad chips and home made coleslaw. I enjoyed a fruit smoothie, and the others had peppermint tea. From Ronnie

This café is gorgeous, and is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside, it's like the Tardis! It's very airy and has a lovely, peaceful design scheme with a variety of tables and sofas. It is very clean and well-kept, with a light colour palette that is really relaxing. I definitely will bring my laptop and work here. I don't have a dog, but I felt very welcome, and it's lovely because you get to see so many dogs here. They clearly love it. The cakes are homemade and really delicious. There are also lots of high-quality products on sale, I actually bought some raw food for my cat here as there are a lot of products suitable for both. I genuinely think this is a lovely new space for Gillingham meetups.

My twin brother Stephen and I decided to cross over the Swing Bridge and visit some of the great pubs in Gateshead, one of my favourites was The Grey Nags Head Pub. A wonderful looking pub, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, dark wood features abound throughout this pub, great decor and furnishings, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, all in all a wonderful local traditional pub. We ordered at the bar ,as it was a really hot afternoon we both chose Woodpecker cider ,these were served iced cold, we grabbed a table were we settled down and enjoyed our ciders. The cider served in here was really good, a crisp, effervescent and most importantly iced cold cider that really cut through the thirst on a hot afternoon, must mention the barmaid in here ,a wonderful cheerful person, made a fuss of my twin and I, really made us feel welcomed in the pub,Geordie hospitality at its finest. We really enjoyed our ciders in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to The Grey Nags Head Pub we were totally impressed. The Grey Nags Head Pub is easy to locate along High Street in Gateshead. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 11am till 11pm. Friday & Saturday, 11am till Midnight. Sunday, 11am till 11pm. A wonderful pub,if you're this side of the River Tyne a pub I highly recommend you visit.

Popped in here for the first time in a few years and it is now run by two lovely ladies . Reduced menu at the min due to cooker / fryer problems but still a nice choice . Hubby had beans on toast and i had a gammon ham sandwich . Nice hot beans and 3 rounds of toast for him and my sandwich had really thick gammon ,nice thick fresh bread and bread actually buttered !!! And really good value These ladies have just taken over and we will be back . Wish them well for the future
