What a fabulous little spot for brunch! Fresh and smooth coffee, perfectly brewed tea and delicious food! Short stack of pancakes was amazing. Super fluffy and light. Will def be back!

It was ok, food was ok. Nothing amazing really. The till/payment system is particularly slow as hot drinks take time to make which holds up the entire queue, regardless if you have a drink or not. My tea turned up with sugar in despite me having said no sugar when asked by the vendor. My regular breakfast box was served as a large breakfast (3 of everything instead of 2 of everything) although I only paid for regular, some may think that a bonus but it was too much for me, so I left a sausage, bacon and slice of toast and I hate food waste. It was ok but Wetherspoons breakfasts are tastier

We always visit the Market tavern when in Knaresborough, friendly staff and locals and a greats atmosphere, especially when bingo is on, which is Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Cannot believe reviews from Dan P, Tracey H and Paul Sanderson, £18 for a starter and main course is not expensive unless you usually eat at wetherspoons or similar. Food is excellent, staff are excellent. If you want more meat on the carvery they are more than happy to give it to you, all you need to do is ask. Keep up your good work chequers inn.

Honestly awful!!! couldn’t check in as the reception was full to the brim with wedding guests. The wedding aftermath continued on and our room was shaking from the music until 1AM. Literally had our tv on full volume and could still hear the music over the tv sound. Reception reccomended using their library room … yes sure we will sit in a library room until 1AM :/ honestly would avoid at all costs

Nice environment. Food and coffee are quite expensive and small portions.

Lovely second visit. This time my husband and I brought my mum and auntie to toast their retirement. The service and Sunday lunch was top notch. Company wasn't bad either. Relaxed atmosphere and really good value for money.
