Wanted to support an independent for breakfast so headed over to Coffee Crema and it was delicious . We ordered a veggie and full English breakfast. Both were outstanding. The quality of the ingredients were very good especially the grilled halloumi which was so tasty and melted in your mouth unlike some rubbery options you get at other places. The sausages were meaty, the smoky beans delicious and the mushrooms were sensational. The coffee was good quality too. Hotel breakfast included pastries, juice etc in the price so the cost of Crema probably worked out more expensive like for like but we were more than happy with our choice and thought it was good value for money for the quality of food we received plus we feel it’s important to support small independent businesses in order to keep our town centres going . Thank you ! We will be back !!

I have been to the George for meals for many years usually for Sunday lunch. Today I went with a friend on a Thursday for the pensioners special. I have many food intolerances and dont eat meat but the George is happy to cook me a piece of plain fish without sauce. My friend ofted for a choice of meats/ yorks pud then we could fill our plates with as much veg and sauces/ gravy as we wanted. The meal was excellent value, superbly cooked wirh a good choice of veg. I would really recommend The George

Cannot believe reviews from Dan P, Tracey H and Paul Sanderson, £18 for a starter and main course is not expensive unless you usually eat at wetherspoons or similar. Food is excellent, staff are excellent. If you want more meat on the carvery they are more than happy to give it to you, all you need to do is ask. Keep up your good work chequers inn.

Honestly awful!!! couldn’t check in as the reception was full to the brim with wedding guests. The wedding aftermath continued on and our room was shaking from the music until 1AM. Literally had our tv on full volume and could still hear the music over the tv sound. Reception reccomended using their library room … yes sure we will sit in a library room until 1AM :/ honestly would avoid at all costs

Walked into pub and restaurant space. Greeted with two glowing and warm real fires. Cask ales on tap. Then checked out deluxe guest room with kitchen, living space and ensuite bedroom. Bowled over by attention to detail in furnishings and under floor heating. Evening meal fabulous. Can't recommend highly enough as a gateway into Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales
