Every time we eat here the food, staff and service are amazing. Both vegan and meat eaters in our family and we all have really lovely meals. Easy to park too. Thank you for making our meals out a special treat!!

Went for Sunday dinner. Very few tables occupied which probably should have been an indication of things to come. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty we were seated right next to a large rowdy party (nothing wrong with that, but we could have been seated further away and been able to hear our own conversation). The food was just ok. The plates weren’t hot and 2 meals were only just luke warm. Not much gravy and the roast potatoes were soft. Same with the puddings: the apple pie wasn’t hot and the custard was a bit runny. It was expensive for a very mediocre meal. Would love to support local businesses, but sadly they haven’t won us over as return customers.

Dropped in without booking, table found quickly. The main meal was delicious followed by an amazing Lemon Meringue Sundae. Enjoyed our drink in the garden afterwards as the sun was out for a change.

Superb. Good beer, lovely homemade food in an amazing old village pub. Can’t fault it. Great selection for children. Log fire!

Wanted Sausage Roll and Tuna sandwich and told to order and pay at till. There was 1 woman serving a gentleman already so stood to the side of him to wait. Then another woman joined queue to my left, then another. Before the gentleman was finished a second member of staff went to the other till (directly in front of 2 women to my left) and said 'next'. I pointed out that I was next and she motioned for me to move in front of her, which I couldn't. She then said (abrubtly) if I didn't want to order/pay then she would serve someone else. If I had been on my own I would have walked out but I was with an 87 year old relative and my mobility isn't great either. The food was appalling!!! Sausage roll was luke warm / cold in middle and grossly overpriced at £6.95. Tuna in sandwich I think had come straight out of tin with no seasoning or mayo and cost £9.95. The place (don't want to call it a restaurant) was very busy and chaotic. I'm surprised that with so many bad reviews for so many years things haven't improved. Needless to say will not return. 😟
