Now the roast menu is back Sunday lunch was just brilliant! Generous portions of tender roast beef in my case, well prepared vegetables and an excellent Yorkshire pudding with a very tasty gravy. The mixed berry crumble to follow was of the same high standard. The decor may be a bit tired but the food and good value more than make up for that.

We live in a neighbouring village to Inkberrow and after quite a few years decided to revisit the Bulls Head for dinner. We both opted for the beef and red wine pie which though we aren’t regular pie eaters I thought it to be the best pie I have ever had . The portion was very generous , good pastry packed with plenty of lean beef in a lovely rich sauce….absolutely delicious!

We enjoyed a lovely meal with friends in this cosy country pub. The food was delicious with generous portions. I especially recommend the Chicken Liver Pate and the Lamb dish. The house wine is also very good and reasonably priced. The restaurant is nice and cosy, and the young girls waiting on the tables were friendly and efficient. We had a great night here and all of us left feeling full and happy.

Food is always nice and cooked well with good portions. The menu is quite small and hasn’t been updated for a long time/to reflect the seasons. There are specials but tend to be a variation on the same theme. For people who live local it would be great for it to be amended from time to time to give variety. I would choose to go much more often if the limited menu didn’t mean I had to order the same thing every time.

Sunday lunch was excellent as was service and exceptional value for money. Nice to have varied mixture of veg without being over cooked or stewed after being kept warm which can often be the case with some pub grub. Yorkshire puddings were obviously homemade and together with tender beef were absolutely delicious. I will be returning to try the lamb next time.

Following earlier visits this year we again invited some close friends to join us. We seemed to be the only ones in the restaurant. The meals were served and the fish was well overcooked and the burgers were not well presented. My wife asked where were the chutneys for the burgers and was told to look under the meat. This she did and found a half slice of Gherkin.

Enjoyed an excellent lunch in the dog-friendly bar at the Bulls Head Inn. The menu is a nice mix of light lunch/brunch/main meals and with a 2 for the price of 1 offer it is good value for money. Food is home-cooked and there were a couple of excellent vegetarian options. Something for everybody! The welcome and service were also excellent and our landlady was good enough to not even raise an eyebrow as a couple of very muddy dogs made a mess of the flagstones in the bar.The coffee was good too. We've been to the Bull's Head a few times for meals and they've always been good. Not great, but good. However on a recent visit, they seem to have upped the standard somewhat as all the meals our group of 8 ordered were excellent, with great presentation and swift courteous service. When you add in the two for one pricing it makes it great value. The only complaint were the desserts were a little uninspired and a tad expensive, but that's only a minor criticism. Overall a very enjoyable meal and highly recommended.

We recently held a wake for my dad at this pub, having had lunch there on a recommendation. Firstly, the food is fresh, home cooked and delicious. It's also exceptionally good value for money. What also sets it apart is that it's a family run pub, and the team there really care about you as a customer. They took care of everything and nothing was too much trouble. They really looked after us and made sure everything ran smoothly - everyone commented on how great the food was and many of them are going back for a meal themselves as they were so impressed. I'd absolutely recommend them for an event or just for a lovely lunch/dinner. Thanks to Jo and the team for doing my dad proud.

Tal vez elegimos el equivocado - nuestra comida eran platos bastante decepcionantes. Pescado y patatas - el bateador era demasiado crujientes y sin sabor, muchas patatas fritas y los guisantes blandos había sido más de puré. We were travelling from Hereford to Milton Keynes on a damp Monday in May and needed a lunch break. The other pub nearby was not doing food as it was a Monday so we expected the same answer at the Bull's Head. Not a bit of it!!The landlord and landlady gave us a warm welcome and we were offered the full menu. The beer was so good we wished we could have more than one ( we know a good pint when we taste one). The sandwiches we decided on were the best we have had anywhere. Thick and fresh granary bread stuffed with home cooked ham and a mustard mayonnaise on the side, a side basket of fabulous French fries and a roast beef sandwich presented to the same high standards. Now I am picky about meat, and usually have to extract bits of fat and gristle from sandwiches, especially beef, made in other pubs. Not this time! Not only was it loaded with slices of tender roast, they were all totally lean. I ate every scrap! We were too full to tackle a dessert but the hospitality continued and we had a lovely chat with the owners. The price for all this wonderful food, drinks and ambiance?..........£15!So, highly recommended! Note: if you come in through the front door you will enter the large bar area with a widescreen tv - do not be put off. Venture further in and you will be both surprised and delighted.

Generally love my local village pub. Recently are here for the first time ordering a pizza to eat in. I ordered a meat feast that was supposed to consist of Pepperoni, Chilli Chicken, Bacon, Ham & Beef. When it arrived it noticed it was short of toppings, reluctantly I ate the pizza as I was so hungry and in the main it was ok and didn't warrant a complaint even though the tomato purée was driving through my fingers. The following day I informed that if I were to order the same could they please ensure that all my toppings were on my pizza and not just ham. I was confronted by an angry female, who I believe to be the owner shouting at me that I was rude and inconsiderate that she had gone out of her way to cook me food in the Chef's absence. (She seemed to miss the point that I was paying £11 for this, it wasn't free) The pizza the following night was cooked to a high standard, as the ACTUAL chef had returned, Far more enjoyable but I certainly won't return for food again and heaven forbid should you complain, I don't think being called "an idiot" because of dissatisfaction is great service. Never mind!! I'll visit the Old Bull in future where the food is OUTSTANDING!! Avoid Guys!

For some reason it is the Old Bull pub about 100 yards down the road which grabs all the attention in Inkberrow, possibly because of the 'Archers' connection, but for me this is the better pub of the two. Not as old and charming but the locals and staff here are a lot friendlier and at least they serve food seven days a week (the Old Bull does not serve food on Mondays so we never went back there to eat). The food at the Bull's Head Inn is nothing spectacular and if I'm honest a bit pricey for what you get, but I'd still take it any day over the other pub down the street.

Visited on 27th September on a Saturday lunch for a groupon pie & chips deal. Initially horrified to find the bar full of blokes watching football. we decided that if we were only allowed in this bar area (as the restaurant was empty) we would leave as we felt uncomfortable. We said we were there for a groupon deal and had booked a table and luckily we were shown to the restaurant - phew! Later we found it was a local football group who use the pub. We were offered a taste of the real ale the pub brewed which was very quaff able indeed. In fact "Top Hole" what! Offered also a variation from the menu despite it being a pie and chips deal. All food home cooked. Service was exceptionally friendly. Landlady very informative of what they had done with the pub since buying it and what food was available. I would say this is a very nice pub, offering good value groupon deals and reasonably priced home cooked non goupon deals. We would recommend a visit. Good luck with the pub Mr & Mrs Landlords.

I really dislike separate children's menus that offer very limited foods, so the Bulls Head have really achieved where most places fail in offering a fresh variety for kids. They also offer half portions of the starters for kids. This pub is on my regularly visited list.

Having had a very good meal here one evening in March, we decided to visit this week and treat a friend of ours to a lunch time meal. What a difference! The lunch time menu seems to be a little limited with lite bites and a few larger meals - not a great start when we were told that of the larger meals 3 of these were not available leaving very few for us to choose from! We had steak and ale pies with onion rings as extra side dishes. In two of the meals meat in the pies was not great, some over cooked and even some pieces too hard to get a fork into! There was hardly any gravy in the pies and impossible to eat the puff pastry tops as way too dry without gravy. Despite the mention on your reply to a 21st April review about extra gravy being served with steak and ale pies - there was no gravy served as extras with our pies! The onion rings were so greasy that they were not great and I couldn't finish mine. Service was very bad - we were told that the daughter serving had gone home ill and a new waitress would serve us, however, no one asked us during the meal if all was ok, we had to go and ask for more drinks, we had to go and ask for some one to serve puddings, and to be honest we would have liked a coffee to finish off but by this time we got fed up of having to get up to ask - the daughter might have had to go home part way through but there were other people, including the owner and a replacement waitress, who could have taken over and provided this service. They weren't rushed off their feet as we were the only people in and we had booked the table so they knew that we were coming! We made the owner aware of our concerns. Very disappointing as it wasn't a bargain basement meal!

We went back today for Fathers' Day, again 5 of us. The food was very good and the welcome warm, When we arrive just after noon the place was quiet and we had their undivided attention. It soon filled up and it was clear everyone was working flat out, and they coped well with heavy demand. 5 of us had 3 courses each and we enjoyed everything. Excellent value for money

The staff were very welcoming and accommodating but as the evening wore on and the restaurant became busier it was clear that they were understaffed. I had a smoked duck starter which was excellent and almost the size of a main course. The "steak and ale pie" which followed was a different story. I'm not convinced that meat and gravy in a dish with a piece of puffed pastry on the top constitutes a pie! There was a good quantity of meat which was tender but the gravy was so salty I had to leave it. The waitress was apologetic and I hope the chef took note.

My Dad (88) booked for 5 of us to enjoy Christmas Day lunch here. The customer care from walking in was excellent, but the food excelled this. In fact, some of the embelishments (salmon mousse, shop-bought mince pies) were completely unnecessary because the locally sourced, home cooked food was fantastic, really quite special and thoroughly enjoyable. This made for a great, intimate, family Christmas. (The only downside? Small child at adjacent table not being kept under control, but not the pub's fault!).

We enjoyed a lovely lunch meeting friends from Birmingham. Generous portions, and well cooked home style food. Thoroughly enjoyed a reasonably priced meal. Would highly recommend it.

We purchased Fish & Chips to takeaway. The chips were the most greasy & soggy we have ever been presented with. We spoke with the manager who would not accept the problem of the greasy chips & soggy fish batter and would not even offer an apology. We shall not go back.

Four of us came here for Sunday lunch and had the pleasure of some gorgeous food. We had various starters along with pork and beef roast dinners. Everything was fabulous. Brad and the team were very friendly and welcoming, so thank you! We would definitely recommend you to visit here!
