Superb location, large and comfortable bedroom, polite and helpful team, delicious squid starter followed by an excellent steak was just what I needed after a hard days work. Great breakfast. Will be staying again.

We enjoyed an excellent weekend at the Hadley Bowling Green. Everything we wanted service food drink etc, was provided to the highest standard. We have stayed there before and we will in the future.

Food, drinks and service was excellent. Went there to do a recce before confirming a booking for 11 people. I had the BLT and my wife had crab cakes. Both were well presented and tasty. Thoroughly recommend.

Four of us booked the bar for a family birthdayunch on 31st January. Lovely atmosphere, super service throughout and delicious food. For our main course, we enjoyed the fish & chips, burger, fishcakes and eggs benedict with bubble & squeak - all cooked perfectly. The drinks and desserts were great too. We will be back!

We had a wonderful lunch in the cosy bar, with a roaring log fire. The menu was fantastic. I chose the homemade vegetarian ravioli and it was delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

We love this pub food is amazing , but the staff and most certainly the landlord make 10/10 , they can’t do enough for you , wish this was our local , it’s a wonderful place , this is our 5 time here and hope to be back in summer

Lovely pub which serves a good, but very limited menu. Somehow just didn't feel very welcoming as a guest. First day of checking we were told no walk ins for food, so had to settle for crisps! Only once checked in we realised pub shuts completely on Sunday evening. An Inn which serves no food is surely not an Inn??? As a result we checked out early and had a fabulous Sunday roast elsewhere.

We stopped over en route from Cornwall to Yorkshire, will be returning. The Bowling Green and setting just ooze English culture, lovely place to stay.

My husband and I enjoyed a very comfortable one night stay at the Hadley Bowling Green Inn, accompanied by our two pet greyhounds. When the very kind staff saw the size of our dogs, we were upgraded to a larger room so we would have plenty of space for their beds. This was very much appreciated! We stayed for dinner and enjoyed a tasty breakfast before setting off the next morning. We booked direct and used the Muddy Paws offer, which was really excellent value for money. We would certainly stay again! Thank you very much.

Had a delicious Christmas Day lunch here yesterday! The whole event was a very well run day and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. The food was delicious and the cocktails were great! Highly recommend! They have real fires and a lovely cosy pub feel.

The Hadley Bowling Green is a favourite of mine due to its location, the beautiful scenery, the food is always amazing and they cater for my gluten free needs very well, it’s a great atmosphere and it is cosy by the fire. I took my mum for Sunday lunch for her birthday which was great and we have been for many special occasions. Thank you for your consistent and superb food and welcome.

Even though it was exceptionally busy ( Saturday before Christmas) the lunch for four was excellent and the welcome and service was great. The attention to detail was impressive as I booked on line and asked that one of the chairs had arms as one of our party was not very mobile and (arms) on a chair assisted seating, and this was already in place and we didn’t need to remind the staff! The only criticism was that the car park was mostly full and access to the rear of the inn was very badly potholed. Also we noticed that the exterior could do with a little TLC particularly the upper windows, however this didn’t spoil our experience.

Wonderful welcome from the extremely hard working team. Delicious freshly cooked meal. Great service. Beautiful quiet, rural location. Would absolutely recommend.

This Inn has restored my faith in B&Bs. Lovely large room (I did pay for an upgrade), great en suite and everything we needed for a night away. The bar was lovely & cosy with a real fire and the food was delicious. Thanks for a good night guys. See you again if we’re heading that way.

We had a family lunch at the Hadleigh Bowling green as we were visiting the area - had not been there in over 20 years! I was delighted to see it still has the exceptional high standard and friendliness that we loved so much in the past - fabulous menu - traditional items along with more modern and sessional offerings . Can highly recommend it to anyone .

We have eaten here a few times recently - it is a lovely place with fabulous service and great food. We had a family lunch yesterday and everyone was very impressed. Definitely recommend.

I have stayed here on several occasions now. The more recent was a group booking. The booking process was very easy. Staff are always very professional, polite and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The hotel and bar have much character and we sat enjoying the wonderful food, sat by an open fire. Menu is great. food quality has always been fantastic. Great beer and wine. Would highly recommend for a quiet , peaceful stay.

Had a lovely experience at the Bowling Green, meeting some family members for a long overdue catch up. The service was immaculate with great laughs throughout the meal, everyone was so friendly and happy to help with any queries we had. There was a beautifully warm fire waiting for us when we came through the door. The menu was very varied with lots going for any needs! Would highly recommend, well worth the journey wherever you travel from!

Does an English pub get any better than this? Popped in impromptu on a Saturday afternoon and was greeted by green rolling fields, delectable food, great service and a warm and cosy atmosphere. If you think about stopping in, just do it - you won't regret it. Will be back again very soon.

Best battered haddock I've had for a very long time. Welcoming staff. Chips could have been a bit crisper. Children enjoyed their meals and the adults' burgers were well received. Glad we went.

Very pleased overall. Ideal for our needs. Food really very good, staff excellent, a bonus to find a favourite 2011 claret on the list. Courtyard room was just right, not super luxury or huge but very suitable in this sector. Will definitely be looking out for this chain in the future.

Everything really great here - lovely food and staff, smashing room. Only little niggle was the mattress was a bit hard (could feel some springs) but it didn’t detract from a great stay and would recommend

Had a lovely overnight stop on our way to Devon with our dogs, room very comfortable and warm which was welcoming as it was so cold. We had a lovely dinner in front of the fire. I could not have faulted the food it was delicious. Friendly, cheerful staff In particularly the lovely Lottie who kept us well amused and catered for. Will definitely be back.

We stayed at the Hadley Bowling Green for one night only but we were delighted. It is a quiet location on the outskirts of Droitwich. We liked our room and enjoyed our delicious dinner while sitting close to an open fire.The service was excellent: from great welcome, through drinks and dinner, to breakfast (again delicious), and to check out.

We had a wonderful 18th birthday celebration meal at Hadley Bowling Green. The staff and service were as always excellent, as was the fabulous food. Thank you to the staff for making it a meal to remember!

Sunday lunch was delicious, nice choice on menu, staff friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be returning to The Hadley Bowling Green Inn. The only negative point, the meal cooled down very quickly so didn't seem to be very hot when it arrived on our table, but apart from that overall very happy with quality and quantity of food.

We had our wedding meal at the Hadley Bowling Green back in July with immediate family, including a coeliac and a wheelchair user (and lots of vegetarians). They were very relaxed and welcoming and didn't mind that we turned up in all our wedding clothes 😂 We were a large party but they dealt with this well and we had clear communication with them leading up to the event. The food was delicious and filling! We then stayed over, and our room was very comfortable.They even had gluten free biscuits which as one of us was a coeliac was much appreciated. Would recommend!

Stayed here for 1 night, dinner was very tasty, fresh and the staff were very friendly. Nice couple of pints of butcombe. Breakfast was very tasty and good gluten free options. The pub also seem to support local events and we're running a table top sale which is great. If you are in the area you should definitely pop in.

We've been here about five times and it continues to be excellent. There really is something for everyone and they take dietary requirements very seriously. I had a 3 course 100% vegan meal and it was excellent and very filling. The atmosphere is quiet and friendly. I cannot fault it.

We had a very nice stay. The manager is very efficient and friendly and the food is excellent.

Despite a very busy evening we were served promptly and efficiently and enjoyed our meal with friends.

Visited with my wife for Sunday lunch and we were expecting big things based on reviews and the cost of £23pp for one course (the 3 meat roast). Service was extremely fast and staff were very friendly however the food itself was average at best, the beef was very over cooked and tough (despite being advertised as medium-rare), the leg of chicken was under seasoned and lacked any sort of flavour, the pork was nice. Trimmings ok but potatoes slightly underdone. We were an early sitting (12 noon) so it might have been something to do with that but it’s put us off going back especially for the price.

Stayed here for one night only... only gave it 3 that was for the actual Inn itself and the staff restaurant was lovly food was nice but main nenue was limited... the superior double room we booked was definitely not superior... the chair was ripped... there was one complementary buisuit each... yes just one... no long life milk in room... had to ask before bed for flask of milk for the morning cuppa .. which by then no fridge heating on was no good.. woke up early really wanted my morning coffee which we could not have in our room till staff arrived then had to get dressed to go down to fetch fladk of milk .... for price of the room this is not acceptable never been any were we carnt wake up and have a drink...

We booked this last minute to break up our long journey and what a find. It's a beautiful hotel with a great atmosphere. Staff are so friendly and attentive and couldn't do enough for us. It's dog friendly which is a huge bonus. We had a lovely evening meal and breakfast was perfect. We slept really well in a huge comfortable bed. I would like to think we would be in the area to stay again.

What a lovely place to stay! - A warm welcome from friendly and professional staff - followed by booking into a well positioned, well maintained and very clean room. The restaurant food for our evening meals for both nights or our stay was of the highest standard, and we were served by delightful waiting staff who were attentive throughout. Stayed at this lovely hotel as an overnight stay en route to Cornwall. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our golden retriever Rosie was also welcomed! Nothing seemed to be a bother for them. Our annexe room was spotlessly clean and just what we needed. Our evening meal was delicious as was breakfast. No complaints from us at all & we will stay again I'm sure!

Very Nice venue, the food was good, unfortunately my only complaint is the rudeness of the waitress, when taking the food order i asked for a gluten free menu and she jokingly said ‘oh there’s always one’ !, i found this quite offensive and i had to restrain myself from complaining there and then to the management, i didn’t want to upset everyone on our table and cause an atmosphere so i let it slide, however i wasn’t happy with the waitress’s unprofessionalism.

Beautiful location in middle of nowhere but near to the main towns. Beautiful hotel and nice staff. Food was good, breakfast especially Only complaint I had was room 6, some form of loud machine woke me at 6am from the kitchen area and I had to put ear plugs in Otherwise all good

Warm welcome, nice selection of food.staff attentive. My only moan as we were paying at the bar the chap taking our payment started talking to another customer rather than saying please wait a moment so we had no personal customer contact ,never asked if we were club members, have a nice day etc and as we were paying a bill of nearly £200 I think abit of customer service would have gone down well ,if you don't need us to return then carry on .

A great Sunday lunch. One of the best pub roasts our family has had with good service. And a £20 discount too as it was my birthday month. We live just 2 miles away so we didn’t book a room so cannot comment on that

My partner, my brother and I stayed two nights with you and had an excellent stay. Everything was perfect! The staff were all extremely helpful and kind, the food was delicious - in fact Robert had the best fish and chips he’s ever eaten - and the rooms were very well appointed and comfortable. We're irregular visitors to the HBG and always impressed. The beer selection is good and the light bites really excellent quality. The only down side is parking can be a bit of a nightmare. Otherwise a really great pub for drinks and food.

This place ticked all the boxes for me. Great pub, pub food and nicely kept proper ales. Nice comfortable and clean room, too. Easy to locate from the M5.

First class fish and chips and a lovely breakfast.

Went for an impromptu late lunch with 2 kids and grandparents. Beautiful country pub with amble outdoor seating and a kids play park. We had the pie of the day- chicken and leek, BBQ pulled pork burger, calamari, smoked mackerel, kids cheese pizza, and kids sausage and chips followed by sticky date pudding, after eight ice cream, biscoff doughnuts, and a kids ice cream. Food was delicious! And really good portions! Drinks went down well in the beer garden next to the park. Service was impeccable with very friendly staff. Waiter was playful to our toddler and everyone seemed happy. Such a gem of a place that we will be returning to!

Fabulous stay at an historic inn. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very welcoming. The food was wonderful. Dogs were made most welcome. Outdoor area is lovely. Thoroughly recommended.

We love staying at The Hadley Bowling Green Inn breaking our journey travelling North. It is a lovely friendly place with good food and rooms.

Stopped here on the way home from North Wales. Lovely setting and great lunch menu...perfect place for a respite on a 6 hour journey.

A friendly and helpful staff goes some way to make up for the problems. Access to our room was via a dark and twisting staircase with risers of varying heights, and the threshold with another, almost invisible, little step, an invitation to stumble. No help was offered with our suitcase, although we're in our 70's and 80's respectively. Huge room with elegant, if sparse, furnishing, only one armchair (split seam), no coffee table, a TV remote that was dirty and dysfunctional (batteries?). We had to hang a blanket over the screen to eliminate the glare overnight, as it would not turn off. With pretty countryside all around, our super deluxe room looked out onto the parking area. Very mean provision of biscuits for tea (two teensy shortbreads in the bottom of a jar smeared with previous use), and a thermos of milk which was handed to me sticky on the outside. Not quite what we could have hoped for, at this price.

A beautiful pub, in gorgeous surroundings. The food is very good, the service outstanding, and there's a good range of beers. Pretty much the perfect pub. I'm told that the rooms are also very good.

Another excellent dining experience! We hadn't been for a few months but the waitress heard my wife discussing with our friends what foods off the menu she could eat and without prompting came over with the allergy/intolerance list so she could do a detailed check. The meal was delicious and we will be back again soon.
