Visited the Bridge on Sunday after a lovely walk with the dog. Fortunately, we found the Bridge has now been taken over by new owners (after the previous landlord was awful, consistently failed to deliver any quality or customer service). However, the new owners are a breath of fresh air. Friendly, polite, professional and genuinely care. Outstanding customer service and really lovely food. Proper pub food too. Highly recommend this place plus it's actually dog friendly! Thanks for taking over the Bridge fellas and turning it back into what a real pub should be. Exceptional work 👍 Richard, Sarah and Phyllis

We had phoned in advance to arrange a pub stopover in our campervan. We arrived at 7.15pm and parked in a level space in the rear car park. The pub had new managers 2 months ago and we were made to feel most welcome. Although the decor is a bit tired and dated, we didn't mind as it is more important to us for a pub to have a dog friendly bar area. We ordered two vegetarian lasagne with a side of chips and it was perfect. Great taste and great value. I cannot recommend this place highly enough for either a campervan stopover, a drink by the water or a tasty meal. It must be difficult taking over a business that hadn't been doing well, but I am sure that as people find out how good the food is, these guys will do great. The pub is right next to the canal and has picnic benches overlooking the water.

Under new management & the new managers are absolutely lovely. Canal side pub that's had some misfortune since covid & the new managers are working really hard to turn things around. Lots of homemade options on the menu, as well as vegetarian options. We were there mid-week & service was at a boaters pace but to be fair, it's just the 2 of them covering kitchen, service & bar during the week so be patient, it's worth it & they're so friendly/lovely. I had the steak & ale pie, topped with shortcrust pastry which I can be a bit picky about but it was delicious, massive portion of fries on the side too then for dessert I had homemade sticky toffee pudding. My dad had the sticky ribs, which he devoured, followed by lemon drizzle cake, both of which he said were really tasty. Dogs allowed in the bar area, lovely outdoor seating area & plenty of parking too. Great for boaters, campervanners, walkers & cyclists! No pics of the food as I'd eaten it before I remembered I wanted to do a review ha!

Popped in for dinner this evening and I just wanted to say that Kevin and Andrew have done a fantastic job since taking over 6 weeks ago. The food was on point, the chicken was moist, the steak and ale pie was superb. Both meals were hot and served quickly. You could easily tell that all of the ingredients were fresh. We will be back. Poor food, poor service, waited over 30 mins for mains, then 20 mins for afters witch came cold with elements missing, decent garden and bar, would recommend cruising on by if your passing along the canal and cook yourself, it has to be better than the food here, if I could have given negative stars I would.

If I could leave negative stars I would. We ordered food at 7pm, we were warned there may be a bit of a wait because they were busy .. this transpired to just ONE table of FOUR! By 8.15 they brought a starter of deep fried brie, which was only mediocre at best, but hey... By 8.40 we enquired how long it would be before our main courses arrived. The waitress apologised and said the chef has forgotten to cook the ribs, All four dishes then magically arrived, the 'home cooked pie' which was just a bowl of meat with a slice of pastry on top arrived hot, but the pastry was completely raw. We sent it back, she did say she would have it properly cooked, but by then it would have meant it would arrived well after everyone else had finished eating so we declined and asked for a refund, which was given, but rather rudely. One of our party went back to the boat without eating and rather hungry. Do not eat here, sail on past. None of the dishes served were quality and certainly not the high quality home cooked food they described it as.

Food was not cooked properly. Halloumi fries hot on outside frozen on inside. Home made pie had to be returned Luke warm. Came back hotter pastry tough chips and peas cam back colder we’re not warmed up with pie. Landlady did not know how to do a refund on credit card had to give cash back. Our friends waited over an hour for food apparently land lady said you will have to wait long as a big order was coming out before. No kidding we saw 5 meals come out before hardly a massive order. They waited that long gone past being hungry. Chef needs sacking. Staff had not got a clue what table was what. Kept bringing food to the table we had not ordered. Saw another table return food back to the kitchen. When raised our concerns with the landlady and said we would write a bad review she said do it . So I have. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Waited well over an hour for some simple food items off the menu only for it to come out stone cold. Asked for it to be reheated for only them to NOT bring the cheese bites back out until another 30 minutes had passed without saying where they were. A new batch was made only for these to be cold in the centre too. Disgusting. Lady/owner came across quite rude in saying we shouldn’t have ordered when we did and the chef is doing overtime to cook our food yet could’ve easily said im sorry but kitchen’s closing. Feel sorry for the lad who had to being food backwards and forwards X amount of times and apologise for other people’s mistakes. And we wasn’t the only table. Ruined our evening. Unfortunately we didn’t catch this pub at its best which is strange comparing some of the good reviews on here. 4 adults and 2 kids, with a reservation. Organisation was somewhat chaotic, more than half the menu items were not available, and unfortunately we left before the food arrived after waiting over an hour for a relatively uncomplicated order on a non-busy day. The landlady was very apologetic but it seems they need to get their kitchen in order, and the pub does need some TLC. I would avoid until some fundamentals are fixed here.

We had a lovely Halloween evening. I can confirm like the previous reviewer has mentioned that there were cobwebs. There were spiders. There were bats. There were vampires. I can also confirm (believe it or not) that the cobwebs were for Halloween. I can also confirm that tonight’s ‘roaming dog’ was called Bella (who wasn’t dressed up). It’s a local village pub? What do people expect? We had a lovely meal. We can recommend the steak and ale pie and the chicken and mushroom one. The fire was on and was lovely. The landlady has done a fantastic job in changing this pub over the last few months and I hope the villagers continue to support her as it grows. Watch out for the spiders and roaming dogs. 😀

Sadly, with pubs like this still existing, it’s little wonder that the industry is failing. This was our first visit since the pub was taken over and will certainly be the last. This pub felt grimy. There was litter on the floor, cobwebs and spiders on the walls and ceilings. A dog roamed loosely. It was cold - we sat in our coats. The restaurant side was empty bar one family finishing their meal. We ordered our food - a basic burger and pizza. Thirty minutes later, the owner signalled it would soon be with us; ten minutes later we got a further apology and that it was ‘nearly ready’. A further ten minutes and with still no sign, I went to the bar to say we couldn’t wait any longer as we needed to get home. At this point the food arrived and we were given the option of taking it home as a takeaway. Even that took 5 minutes to sort. It wasn’t worth the wait. The ‘fungi pizza’ was just a mound of cheese with no flavour. The burger was completely forgettable. The chips were packaged with fragments of lettuce. No offer of recompense or compensation for the ludicrous wait. Awful.

Sadly Ben will be missed. If I'd of known he wasn't there i would not of made the effort to go all that way. The place is truly filthy and there were dead flies in almost all the empty vinaegar shakers on the tables. After I pointed this out they all disappeared. Dirty windows and unclean tables. Absolutely awful. They had menus but we were advised that they hadn't got around to getting up to date ones printed. This left us a bit in the dark as to what we could or couldn't have. Anyway, we finally placed our food order. The pizza my partner ordered arrived cold and looked so unappetising he took it back and asked for his money back. Although an alternative was offered, the owners attitude was terrible and she came across as though she didn't give a toss and only appeared to be interested in getting back to her friends and laughing about the situation. We had previously been to this pub before, stopping by whilst cruising by on our narrowboat as the pub is right on the side of the canal and a perfect location. The food, then, had been fabulous and we were looking forward to our evening meal. Apparently, the pub had been under new management since Feb this year. Usually love it here but unfortunately today they must have had an off day. Despite being the first ones of the day to order food, the starters took an hour to be served to ourselves. However were all home cooked and very tasteful, salad was a bit hard so left that. We ordered two Hawaiian pizzas and a steak with some alterations however they disregarded any alterations (no salad/mushrooms). Then served 2 pepperoni Chicago Town pizzas, 1 which had picked off pepperoni and made into a Hawaiian but forgot the mushrooms and 1 pepperoni as I guess they had ran out of frozen pineapple chunks. Unacceptable to charge £11.95 for a frozen Chicago town pizza. Based on this meal I wouldn’t recommend going as the service was so poor, ages to be served, 1 waitress working off her feet to serve the bar, take orders, wait tables and probably even cook! I think there were about 5 tables to serve and it seemed there were about 20 with the way it was ran. Completely understand they are busy and as the staff said many times ‘had a busy night the night before’ , but it’s a bank holiday weekend you have to expect a decent turn out for a Saturday lunch time. Completely unprepared, and not at all worth the money we paid.

On a narrowboat holiday this pub stood out in the guide book as being dog friendly, child friendly, serving great food and having a play area. We specifically stopped at this pub for those reasons. They don't have a play area, first disappointment, and the place looks very tired and grubby inside. We saw a table eating though so thought we'd venture in only to be told by the lady behind the bar very bluntly 'we're not doing food today, the chef isn't in'. What the 4 people that we had just walked past we're eating then I've no idea! Their food had clearly just been brought out as the plates were full. Went back to the boat and carried on up the canal to find a lovely pub that was serving food and happy to have our business.

I ordered the Roast Beef and was shocked to find that it was incredibly tough, and to make matters worse, I was only served one slice for the hefty price of £14.95. The vegetables that came with the meal seemed like they had seen better days and were not very appetizing. The gravy had a strange taste and was quite fatty. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality meal. It's best to avoid this establishment if you're looking for a satisfying dining experience.

We visited here after reading the reviews. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. We had to wait nearly an hour for our food (we were the only people there) and when it did arrive what a disappointment. The Gammon & steak were burnt , the eggs with the gammon were awful burnt & solid. My chicken burger was burnt chicken with two lettuce leaves thrown on. We spoke to the lady who cooked it ( she said the chef was off sick so she did the cooking) if she couldn’t cope with three people I don’t know how she would cope with a pub full of diners. At least she came out & spoke to us & the waitress was lovely, that’s why they got 1* otherwise it would have been 0 *.

Fantastic little pub with a wonderful team running it. The pub is under new ownership as of March and the new landlady Lynn and Chef Luke are such lovely people! The pub is beautiful and set right on the canal, the food is fantastic, Luke makes everything from scratch and it's 5*! Lynn is so lovely and welcoming, even let me stay over in the car park in my van for the night as a safe spot after buying dinner there. (You can get an electric hook up for just £8 too!) Also they're dog friendly, great for stop off on a walk down the canal. Would highly recommend this place!

Stayed overnight in our motorhome. Wonderful location, their beer garden and car park lead directly onto the tow path, where Incidentally, there are moorings available. The food was lovely and the chef Luke deserves his own mention for the quality of his work. Beer is well kept too. Lynne, the owner, was a delight and her staff couldn't do enough for us. Well worth visiting and dogs are welcome.

We had the Lamb it was tasty and well cooked , excellent selection of vegetables , the honey roast parsnips and home cooked Roast pots and Yorkshires were delicious as was the heavenly Jus/Gravy. So full we didn't have room for dessert. Great selection of local beers. Very friendly staff. A great stop on our Narrow boat holiday. Thank You

We enjoyed a lunch time visit to the Bridge Inn. The food was better quality than normal pub grub and the hospitality was very welcoming. It has lots of outside space for when the weather improves and local walks along the canal. There was a good selection of beers, however my hand pulled beer was not the best on the day we visited and the toilets are small for the number of people that could fill the garden. I would still recommend a visit if you are in the area.

The Bridge Inn in Tibberton is a gorgeous little country/canal-side pub that is warm, comfortable and relaxing. I heard it’s just had a makeover and been reopened by the new landlady Lynne who was so personable and accommodating during our lunch time there last week. They have a great range of local beers and the food was fresh, delicious and well priced. I wish them well in their new venture and look forward to visiting again especially in the summer as they have two great outdoor eating areas and the canal. Would love this to be my local, live in Gloucester but well worth the wee drive, as we will again Alex Archer & Nic Evans

Had a last minute motorhome stopover at The Bridge Inn. Couldn't have wished for a more welcoming pub and lovely walks nearby. Nothing was too much trouble for the Staff and Ben the owner. Lovely food and had a wonderful night with a couple we met in another campervan who was also staying there and other locals. So sorry we missed you to say goodbye in the morning. Thank you again Ben for a wonderful night. 🙂

Nice pub with friendly staff, however the food took a long time to arrive and there were only a two other occupied tables. When the food did arrive we found it to be too stodgey and greasy for our taste.

Kathleen offers a family run, independent business that offers a very warm welcome Brummie style. Great humour, attention to detail and lovely home made food that was reasonably priced. We sat outside and the dog got his drink first and was even given a cut up sausage from the owners!

We were staying at an airbnb nearby and were recommended this place. Pleasant bar staff, open wood fire, very cosy. Just mind your head on the beams, which luckily are padded.;)

Early evening meal with 4 friends . We opted for the 2 courses for £10 deal! We tried the 3 options available and each were lovely. Well cooked and presented. Huge choice of dessert - all delicious. Service was friendly and warm - even though as the only person working, she had a lot on her plate! With drinks - it cost £16 per person. The main menu was also good value. A couple of us would have preferred to see a couple of salad option on the menu so that’s what would have made it 5* However absolutely worth a visit.
