Really lovely home cooked food and great service. Would highly recommend

We were looking for somewhere to eat midweek and stumbled upon the lovely Fish and Anchor. I went for the recommended fish and chips, absolutely delicious! 😋 Large portion of succulent fish in a crispy batter with delicious home cooked chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce. Couldn’t fault anything! My partner went for the Cumberland sausage and mash and he thoroughly enjoyed his also. We were tempted by Brad to have a dessert. The strawberry cheesecake was to die for as was the delicious bread and butter pudding. Will defo go back if in this area and I urge anyone looking for good food at a decent price to try it! Very good value for money indeed!

This feels like a local pub. Quite a few locals inside enjoying their time. While we were just passing by we did enjoy our lunch. Lovely food. I particularly liked the chips, believe it or not I'd eat here again. 5 stars from me. Staff was also very attentive and helpful.

We visited 3/4 years ago and enjoyed the food. This time around the restaurant part was shut up and there was a small area for food to the left of the bar. The menu was very limited . Nothing appeared to be home cooked and was fried food out of the freezer. If you enjoy scampi and chips / fish fingers and chips this is the place for you.

Visited while on holiday near Pershore. Great pub. Staff really, really friendly. Fish and chips and desserts all were great. Can’t fault it.

My son has been to this pub for meals a few times now and took me for mothers day.We had the Sunday lunch the food was excellent, the staff were really friendly..would highly recommend a visit.

We stayed in the motorhome site behind the pub, the place was perfect for us, the place has a nice outside area with loads of seating, the service was very good, especially the barman Brad, he was polite and quite chatty and couldn't apologise enough when the till went down or very slow? Not something he could do anything about but still apologised to everyone. The food was nice and well presented, they also had entertainment on 2 nights which was a nice touch, well done to everyone running this place as it was very welcome and made our stay more enjoyable. Keep up the good work.

A warm welcome awaited our party of 12 for a midweek lunch. The sensible, not too extensive, lunch menu meant that service was speedy for each course. The food was cooked to perfection, portions just right and everything was nicely presented. This must be the best value two or three course lunch in the whole area. With such delicious food I highly recommend this venue.

Four of us came here for Sunday lunch and had the pleasure of some gorgeous food. We had various starters along with pork and beef roast dinners. Everything was fabulous. Brad and the team were very friendly and welcoming, so thank you! We would definitely recommend you to visit here!

Staying for one night in their beautiful apartment 😍 sightseeing around the area. Wonderful dinner , well cooked fresh ingredients , I had the Salmon with mussels delicious and goats cheese salad all very good value and excellent service. Lovely friendly people who can't do enough for you ! Warming log fire and countryside views . Definitely worth a visit ☺️

My husband and I and our three friends ate at The Fish and Anchor on Christmas Day and it was superb! The food was cooked to perfection, delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. The restaurant was packed with diners but this did not reduce the quality of the food or service. The Turkey was cooked perfectly not all dry and then we had different starters varying from Goats cheese, pork terrine and falafels , and for dessert one of our party had Christmas pudding, another the crème brûlée cheesecake and the rest of us cheese and biscuits ( with which there was no extra supplement ! ) . We all had a lovely day, very festive, I highly recommend The Fish and Anchor. Thank you

We stopped here to break our journey down to Gloucester and were made very welcome. My husband had the gammon and I had Hunters chicken. Both were freshly prepared and very good. If we lived locally we would regularly visit based on our experience.

Excellent place, friendly and helpful staff, Stayed on the motorhome site, Toilets and showers were spotless, well maintained, It's our second visit and will defo book again next year

Fantastic country pub with great food and brilliant attentive staff, the only thing missing is a little background music, that said we will definitely be coming back when we are back in this stunning part of the world

We came here to eat and stay for the night for our wedding anniversary. The staff were amazing from start to finish, very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The accommodation was lovely and spacious, clean and warm with a view of the river. The evening food was all freshly prepared and cooked and was amazing. The locals all made us feel very welcome and loved the karaoke. We will definitely be back in the warmer weather when we can camp too.

The opening hours here and on their Web page are wrong! This spoiled our visit completely. We tried to visit on our canal boat but the mooring fees are ridiculous without having the money off a meal. I have altered the rating following the reply.

Stayed here after going Clarksons farm and Cheltenham races next day. lovely clean room with a beautiful view of the river. Had dinner it was delicious and then Rico the owner was doing karaoke all night and gave us free drinks for joining in . Lovely people and great atmosphere,also superb value for money

Great place to eat and to just have a drink. Bar staff and food excellent. Brad and we think its Rico and the ladies serving us fabulously friendly, We are staying on the Caravan park ( staff brilliant) Excellent clean toilets and amenities. We have Book for Christmas day meal. Highly recommend we need to support pubs like this 👏 👌

Popped in for a quick drink early afternoon while staying at a nearby site. We were the only patrons but found the barmaid to be very welcoming and friendly. The bar appeared to have a good selection including Camden Hells and the garden had a good number of tables also. Dog friendly with water bowls available too. Lovely spot with large parking area and camping site to the rear.

Took a group of 50, all meals pre-ordered, took over an hour even with 2 of my party helping. Food was OK.

Called in yesterday passing by they had a party of 50 in dinning , person behind bar could not be more helpful will be calling in again food very good many thanks

Visited on Friday as part of a coach trip to Evesham country shopping park so near enough to lunch here. The food was well presented and tasty. Staff were friendly and were prepared for 52 hungry shoppers. The bar is well stocked with a nice choice of beers and wines. The fire was lit and it created a cosy atmosphere in the restaurant. There is a pretty tree too with twinkly lights. The homemade apple crumble was delicious with lashings of hot custard.

Part of a coach day trip yesterday. Served very quickly at bar with Perroni 0. Was pre set menu, I chose Jacket Potato with Chilli, the potato was cooked perfectly the Chilli could have done with being a bit warmer but heat from potato helped also managed to get some of the beautiful salad that went round in large bowl, most people on the coach said how much they enjoyed their food especially those who had the sausage & mash - large & tasty 😋

What a gem of a place. We were having a weekend break & ate there Friday & Saturday night. Staff were super friendly. Food was superb hence eating there twice. Karaoke on Saturday was an absolute blast. Highly recommend & we will hopefully be back!

We went for our anniversary and was greeted by a warm & lovely lady behind the bar, from the minute we walked in, we loved the place. Food was fabulous - great value for money & looked delicious, the service was excellent, really friendly and couldn't do enough to help us enjoy our evening. Mains were ok but the salt seller was dirty asked waitress to change next one wasn't much better she left the dirty one on another table left my name and phone number and asked for a supervisor or manager to call me some days have now passed no phone call

We had a meal Friday night never again .Because we arrived 15mins early bearing in Mind no other diners in. we sat waiting on. a menu and nobody came so we went up to the bar to ask for some .She came up to the table and remarked well you weren't booked in till another few minutes Couldn't get our breath how rude .We finally ordered and the food was lovely but the waitress never asked if we wanted any sauces or vinegar .Eventually our plates were removed and waited on The sweet menu by this time we were fed up and only 1 person had a sweet .We all noticed the staff were more interested in the bar drinkers.shame as our bill plus wine was a nice bit of money for the pub .A bit of training is required shame .

We camped at the rear. The food , Gammon, Fish and chips and fish tortilla was excellent, the best we had all week. Really sharp and simple dishes at a very good price. We will be back

Love this place. Perfect spot for drinks or food when staying on the immaculate campsite. Food is impeccable. Can personally vouch for the fish and chips, steak sandwich, fish platter and rump steak (I never order rump steak, ever, but such is the quality of the food and the cooking here that I gave it a try, and I was not disappointed). Really reasonably priced for both food and drinks. Lovely staff. Great beer garden. Everything a pub should be.

Didnt eat there so can't score food. Popped there for a drink after work. As it was sunny. Sat outside in beer garden garden.. Nice choice of local ales..

So we booked the apartment for the night as we had friends on the camp site situated behind us Lovely place very nice with everything you need Apartment has its own bathroom with shower and heated towel rail along with a hair dryer The lounge area is nice with a decent size smart tv And a humidifier and a cumfy sofa Bedrooms nice and the beds amazing We had a great sleep here Nice views from all the windows too All in all a great stay and we will definitely be back

Not very welcoming but food was OK. Bit more knowledge of what food they are offering would help customers. Other than that was OK.

Food was the worst and just couldn’t eat it the amount of salt used was ridiculous just made your lips numb trying to eat it. Left all 3 meals as it just wasn’t edible unfortunately. When you’re paying high prices you expect to be served meals you can eat. Won’t be going again such a shame to lose such a nice local spot for a meal when the pub itself is delightfully but in current climate can’t afford to pay high prices to have to go home and cook again after what should have been a celebratory meal for my family. I might add I’ve supported this business for years and ASKED about a new menu after months of them saying they were bringing out a new menu I asked politely when they were releasing the new menu as after locals supporting a business like change occasionally. I was told they would send me new menu and that it was coming out that next week ( this was done by PM) at no time did I complain I asked a simple question about a new menu!!! Subsequently to asking they removed me from the Facebook page and then ruined 3 meals! when we still continued to support this business. I’ve attended the quiz night and in all ways tried to be supportive. Your staff were told but were to SCARED to tell the cook!!! Only post on Facebook is on my private page on my own account in my name! Seriously stop sending messages to me telling me I’m banned for complaining I’m not coming again and had no intention of wasting about £50 on food that no one can eat. I will send it over as soon as it’s back from the printers, also always feel free to catch Rico the chef for any ideas for specials you may want to see 🙂 I don’t leave bad reviews lightly but when our meals are deliberately targeted then that’s making it personal and unnecessary especially when we are trying to support a local business!!

Great pub by the river has plenty of parking with very good food there is accommodation available and has got hard standing for caravans.

The finest pub in the land! Wonderful staff, wonderful management and a homely atmosphere, worth a trip!

Stopped here on a walk, and it was a great decision. Both food and service were great. Recommend it if you're nearby

Massive carpark and free Check in at the bar, no information given, there is a information sheet in the room but it has the wrong WiFi password on it got the right one from the landlady Room was up a flight of stairs. The room itself was very spacious .WiFi excellent Bed comfortable Shower was not very powerful and very temperamental temperature No mirrors in any of the rooms only a small shaving mirror in the shower room The other rooms had dark blinds but the bedroom had a light blind and curtains so let lots of light in ! Evening meal was excellent Good choice on the menu and superb value Unsure about checking out as wasn't told anything so just left the key in the door and left. Location is next to the river Avon, unfortunately was raining so didn't get a chance to walk about but set in beautiful countryside. Would stay again but would like a different room .

Nice place quite stayed couple nights

Second visit for their great fish and chips. Not a fillet as before but 2 goujon sized portions my local fish shop sells as children’s and senior portions. I queried and had explained so busy Friday they ran out of fish and were trying to source more. Didn’t warn or say anything on ordering, when then queried full price as disappointed on portion presented. Great for a diet not for the expected lovely meal on this visit. Such a shame and a shocking price

I’ve stayed at the pub twice now and can’t recommend it too highly. Caravan friends have been staying on the camp site and I’ve had a room to join them… Just perfect and I hope to come again

After booking on line days previously, I had a phone call cancelling my booking due to a party. Disappointing, but took the two hours earlier slot. Food very good standard (although one of our party couldn't have what she chose!) & very good value. Requested a wine menu, which they don't have, waitress asked what colour we wanted & reeled off what they had, but no prices available.

Stayed on the Offenham touring site and visited the fish and anchor pub, staff are so lovely, made us feel so welcome. We entered the quiz on the Friday night and all teams were given free chips and sandwiches, fantastic quiz 👍 we booked for Sunday lunch which was perfect, compliments to the chef. Perfect little gem of a pub

Had a nice meal here, during a short stay in the area, quiet country pub selling pub grub to a good standard. Service was really good and attentive. Would have loved to have seen some pan fried fish choices, but I believe it is early days so they may tweak the menu.

Sunday lunch was really good. New team at the Fish and Anchor deserve our praise. The roast dinner was very good and a reasonable price, staff friendly. Lovely place for lunch.

We are local to here, at Offenham Park. Just had a beautiful lunch with excellent service from the staff. The food was very tasty, with special touches, like home made coleslaw, a lovely batter on the fish and home prepared chips. Nothing from a packet or the freezer. We appreciate the effort. We had fish and chips and the beef burger. Well done to everyone.

I called in on a weekday evening with my wife for dinner. We had a lovely meal, and the service was spot on. I recommend it.

Having eaten here a few times was looking forward to a Sunday lunch with the wife. My wife was told by the staff there would be a wait as a group of nine had just come in and there was a wait., so we had drinks. 30 minutes later we were still waiting and left. Sorry but if you are pushing Sunday lunch as an attraction, then surely you would be able to cater for more than 9 people in 30 minutes

I took my wife and children here, great tasting food and friendly atmosphere. I will certainly be back. I particularly liked the light up tree in the restaurant area!

Slow service cold place no atmosphere

What a great find, it is a lovely pub with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are attentive but not over bearing, friendly & professional. We went for Sunday lunch, it was delicious, for dinner we had the roast beef & roast chicken & for pudding, sticky toffee pudding & fresh fruit meringue. 10 out of 10. We will definitely return & we would definitely recommend a visit. One piece of advice, tips cannot be paid for on a card, so make sure you have cash.

A lovely Sunday lunch, beef and pork roast dinners with all the trimmings. Great quality hot and so tasty. Overlooking very flooded river Avon but still beautiful.

Easy to park and find, I enjoyed a lovely main and dessert. Good value for money and fresh tasting food. The bar also served Orchard Pig my favourite cider :)

Our steak lunches, with all the trimmings, were excellent and among the best value possible at £16. They were short staffed in the kitchen, due to illness, but we didn’t have to wait long especially as we didn’t order a starter. An excellent chef, and highly recommended food.

Sunday lunch is delicious, booked on off chance whilst in the area. Staff, locals decor and food all top marks. Would not hesitate visiting again.

My wife and I ate here this evening, Sunday lunch. The place is nice and welcoming, staff very attentive, locals also friendly. The food was amazing, we eat Sunday lunch very often in pubs , inns this was exceptional. Fresh and piping hot. Soup for starter was very tasty. Would not hesitate to return.

Just had the most fabulous Sunday lunch with family. Food is plentiful, freshly cooked, very tasty and hot. All the vegetables were fresh, cauliflower cheese, parsnips, broccoli, carrots, sprouts and crispy roast potatoes. We were a party of 6 and between us tried all 3 roasts, beef, chicken and pork and all came with the full trimmings, there was also a vegetarian option. Puddings were superb too. All food and drink was reasonably priced and the staff were all super friendly. We will definitely return. Would recommend booking as it was quite busy. Overall superb.

Sunday lunch . Very nice . We were not booked so lucky to get in . The beef was excellent.as was the the rest of the dinner . Roast potatoes as they should be not from a pkt. Really nice . Came away feeling it was worth the money and not over full.

Called here whilst staying nearby for a drink, ended up staying for food and had the Sunday lunch. Food was delicious, hot and fresh and very reasonably priced. Drinks also very well priced, warm welcome and excellent service off the staff and a lovely atmosphere. Will definitely return

Had a lovely roast beef dinner today. Well worth a visit.

Only used the bar area as we had a dog with us. Stayed on the campsite behind the pub, very clean and tidy. Place is under new management as from mid June 2023.

Great Sunday Lunch, we had booked early because we knew it can get fairly busy on Sundays! What can I say, the food was fresh, tasty and served with a smile. I will defiantly be booking a Sunday meal again and trying their weekday menu. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay extra welcoming

Nice atmosphere. All the meals were good for our party of 4. The Steak and Ale pie was well cooked with nice pastry followed by the Bread and butter Marmalade pudding with custard.. would go again.

The rudest staff and worst welcome ever! Booking system was down so staff told us it was a problem and was very busy! We left!!!!!

Good beer friendly staff and great freshly cooked food. The menu is not extensive but all freshly cooked to order. The triple cooked chips are amazing. So nice to have food cooked rather than out of a frozen cabinet. Give it a try if you are local or in the area.

Chose this restaurant at the last minute as a midway point to meet our friends. Very pleased we did, food was delicious and served promptly and hot. Staff very friendly and efficient, we understand it is under new management and wish them all the best for the future.

We have visited a few times but this was the first under new ownership (since June 2023) and we left with the feeling that they are still having "teething" problems. They advertise Evening meals to commence at 6.00 pm but, on the evening we attended the first meals didn't come out until 7.00 pm with customers getting frustrated. The lady who took our drinks order was also acting as a waitress (maybe short staffed?) and she apologised several times for the delay. We sat down at 6.20 but our meal did not arrive until 7.30 pm. Have to say that the sausage and mash (served with no veg) was very tasty. We went to the bar, at the end of our meal, to pay but the lady behind the bar actually undercharged us (until we pointed it out) and had to issue 2 bills. Apparently a lack of organization/communication when it comes to a "tab" system. We may have caught them on an off night but we got the feeling that they were in need of more experienced staff. (The previous ownership did seem to have more bodies in the building.)
