Very nice coffee shop. Few seats inside and lovely outside seating areas. There was 3 of us we all had scones with jam and butter and a latte. The scones were warmed up and were very nice. The lattes we asked for 1 shot and they were just right and nice and hot. The service was really good and the staff friendly

After reading reviews on this cafe, breakfast was needed, so today I drove for an hour breakfast was ordered, Sarah's special, fantastic, eggs, salmon, fresh and tasty. Coffee and great service. Quiet because of virus, but when you have worded all week I just had to make a visit. People phone to book. After a couple of yrs, the impression this little cafe has left on my memory is very good.

My family have always given to compton care for many years, including my nan who was admitted a while ago, she has now been discharged to a nursing home. The grounds, the patient unit, gardens and shop are lovely, its some of the staff on the inpatient unit who let compton care down. The communication is very poor, you walk on the unit, your lucky to get a nurse/hca speak or smile at you, trying to find out how your relative has been doing, you dont get told very much. The only staff member who actually introduced himself and greeted us everytime was a lovely male hca Ade. We felt as a family that my nan was a burden to them, as they began talking about getting her discharged quite quickly, the nursing staff show no empathy, and some act like they dont want to be there at all. The whole time my nan was there, I only saw whilst visiting a bank staff nurse ask my nan if she wanted a drink, the only other staff i saw do this was the catering lady, I cannot fault her. I dont feel they encouraged my nan as much as they should of done with her e&d. Thankyou to the lovely volunteers at reception desk, the cleaners who were lovely to my nan and Ade the Hca. Its such a same that the attitude of the rest of the staff and broken communication let that inpatient unit down. 2 weeks later after my nan was moved to a nursing home, she passed away...I cant help but think if she was left abit longer at compton her family would of been able to be at her side when she passed away, but I cannot fault the nursing home she was moved too.
