Booked a table for 12:45 with friends the food was lovely . I have to say a big thank you to Steve and Shaun for bringing drinks to the table and looking after us x x excellent service x

The food could of been hotter(just warm) tasted ok The heating could also been a bit warmer nice pub just need a little more thought We will return at a later date

Had a great meal with the family yesterday (7of us) Nev looked after us.

I hold my hands up that my friends were late for a table booked for 7pm. Even after they arrived and I notified the staff we were ready for our food, there was still a delay in bringing the food. The food was cold and unappealing. The sides stated on the festive menu did not make it onto our plates. There were issues with the bill. Saying prices may vary is different to there is a £3 extra charge for the beef. Very disappointing.

Subject: Feedback on Santa Breakfast Experience I am writing to provide feedback on our recent visit for the Santa Breakfast, which included three children and two adults. Unfortunately, the experience fell significantly short of expectations, and I felt it was important to bring these issues to your attention. Firstly, the pub was extremely cold, with no heating turned on despite the chilly temperature (around 15 degrees). We had to keep our jackets on throughout the meal, which made the experience uncomfortable for everyone, especially the children. The breakfast portions were shockingly small for the price charged (£10.99 per person). For the children's meal, the plate consisted of half a tomato, one sausage, one egg, and a single tablespoon of beans—hardly an adequate meal. The adult plates were not much better, with just two sausages, one slice of bacon, a single mushroom piece, and two tablespoons of beans. We even ended up sharing beans from the adult plates to make up for the children's insufficient portions. To add to this, some of the sausages were burnt, further diminishing the quality. This offering does not qualify as a full English breakfast by any standard. The advertised "Breakfast with Santa" aspect was also disappointing. The Santa present looked unprofessional and did not engage with us at all, which undermined the festive spirit for the children. It certainly did not match the expectations set by the event's promotion. Additionally, we had to wait 40 minutes for our food, and during this time, we observed several tables cluttered with used plates and cups. While this might be understandable during busy periods, it was disheartening to see staff dancing in the area instead of attending to the dining room's cleanliness or customer service. I chose not to complain at the time as I did not want to spoil the festive atmosphere for the children, but I feel it is important to raise these concerns now in the hope of improvements for future customers. Since the new manager Grant has taken over this pub you can see a massive difference, the atmosphere is always so warm and inviting, the pub is much cleaner, been drinking here for years and I welcome the change

Tried calling directly about side order of chips missing from our order and last night and this morning nobody answered the phone and nobody has got back to us even after leaving a message. We ordered some food through deliveroo last night and although the sausages, Mashed potato, battered onion slices and gravy were actually enjoyable, the veg had an odd taste to us personally. Which wouldnt have been so bothersome as we get that everyone's taste is different, yet to add insult to the wound we didn't receive our side of chips as they were missing and we have tried to contact them directly to no avail. We don't like to leave reviews such as this, yet when we get no response when trying to sort something out and get a refund for something we paid for that is missing, we like to warn others incase this happens to them

Visited this wonderful place whilst I was on holiday in Wolverhampton from Ireland. The food was excellent, and the ambience was very welcoming and warm. Great to have won the quiz and the MC, Clive, was amazing, a true legend 👏 The next time I am in Wolverhampton, I will visit this wonderful place again. Great food and value for money, and I highly recommend this establishment, as the staff were very friendly and helpful also.

Just been in for a Monday lunch time meal on a rare occasion where we don't have the kids with us. Very quiet 'just as we hoped it would be' only the second time visiting but the food is really good for the price. I had the ultimate burger and it was huge! Really impressed!

Went for a Sunday lunch and I must say we were not disappointed. Food was top quality and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely lunch with my wife at Westacres an Ember Inns pub in leafy Finchfield. Service was excellent, wide choice and reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Shockingly slow service tonight, waited nearly hour an half for food, hardly any bar staff on resulting in queues at the bar, I could understand if the place was packed out but it wasn't. Won't be returning.

Although had to wait over a hour for food after the order was placed it was worth waiting for staff very friendly

Having reflected on my experience it was better than I originally put. The cutlery was not clean and needed replacing. The corner we were in was dimly lit. Not to my taste.

First time visit to this lovely pub. Staff very friendly and welcoming on arrival. Decided to stay for lunch and we were not disappointed 😋 Our meals were delicious, hot and served in a timely manner. We finished off with the mini deserts and coffees ☕️ I highly recommended you give this pub a try you won't be disappointed.

Recently chose the Westacres to host our brother's funeral wake. I ordered the silver buffet to accommodate everyone and would like to say how happy we were. Everyone complemented the buffet. It had a good choice of foods including vegetarian and went down a treat. Quite competitively priced as well. Matt had sectioned off a part of the pub for us for privacy also, and the buffet table was laid out nicely. Matt & his team were highly professional, attentive & respectful of our occasion. Matt & all your staff, thank you for being there for us on this day. Thank you very much.

There was a good sized table in a corner for our meeting, undisturbed by the football in the bar area. There were a couple of decent real ales on handpump as well as the usual selection of other drinks, although strangely lemonade as out of stock! The food was excellent quality nd the portions were plentiful. Neverla, Dan and Regon all made us feel very welcome.Would definitely visit again.

Staff were friendly the surroundings excellent but unfortunately the food let them down! Lunchtime meal handcut cut ham egg and chips. Served cold thick slices of congealed fatty looked like cooking bacon? How can a chef/cook get it so wrong?

The Westacres, Finchfield Hill, Wolverhampton hosted a memorial gathering for my late Brother in law last weekend. I travelled a long way to attend and was delighted the place was so easy to find. Ample parking and unusually designated disabled spaces near to the front door with the added bonus of an accessible garden at the back. The staff were really welcoming. They catered for a group of 60 and the spread was sumptuous with offerings for both meat eaters and vegans. Totally delicious with piping hot sticky chicken pieces, two types of chicken wings, breaded prawns, sweet potato fries and potato fries, salads, garlic bread and so much more. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I very rarely eat out but I would definitely pop in for a meal a couple of times a week if I lived locally. The regular menu is fantastic and the prices are if anything much lower than you'd expect for the variety and quality. Definitely taking my sister out for a meal when I get the chance to go back. Well worth the 2+ hours drive.

Went here a couple of weeks ago. Fancied some garlic bread with my dinner but was told none was available. I thought nothing of it and carried on regardless. Went back very recently and wanted the mixed grill - was told it was unavailable, as were the burgers and anything else that had to go near a grill. Thought 'oh well' and ordered an alternative meal. Wanted the cheesecake for dessert as it looked delicious. Was told it was unavailable. I overheard the couple on the table next to me had tried to order the Lasagne, but guess what?... they were told it was unavailable. I'm afraid this pub has been marked as a 'drinks only' venue in future. I won't be going there for food again. Shame really, because the pub itself is clean, tidy and well presented. The staff are friendly and helpful. Just a shame they can't seem to provide whats advertised on their menu. Perhaps their supplier is to blame rather than the pub. The food I did manage to get hold of was nice and good quality. In summary, good for drinks if your in the area, but very unreliable on food.

Had a really nice time at the Westacres Pub last night. Rachel the bartender was friendly, attentive and took good care of us to ensure we had the best experience possible, even asking about any dietary concerns we may have had. The beers were refreshing as well as the cocktails and the food was lovely (the fries were some of the best I've had from anywhere). The pub has a very nice relaxed atmosphere with comfortable pleasant furnishings and the toilets are very clean and hygienic.

The atmosphere is what keeps us coming back, the staff are so pleasant and a real asset to Matt the manager. The only thing I would like to see improved is the general decor as it’s a bit tired (but it is always clean)

Had a wonderful couple of hours today, the food was first rate, drinks were fab.. Met Rachel Molineux, who was just great. Very friendly and chatty. When she brought the drinks to our table, she was like a mirage in the desert... just what we wanted, when we wanted it. We'll done. Top draw Rachel.

Absolutely terrible AVOID at all costs where do I even begin - we thought we'd try somewhere different for Sunday lunch we booked but there was absolutely no need, we were a party of five the place itself looked quite nice albeit very cold there was no heat on and although April it was like winter outside, we ordered 3 specials belly pork one chicken dinner and one duo of meats, two soups, one chicken wings and the other opted for Eton mess all off the set menu. After a very long wait our soup arrived it was luke warm and watery, when the waitress gave it us she commented do you want the Eton mess after your mains ermmm well yes! The wings were nice and hot so we had hope .....Another long wait began we ordered at 5.30 by 6.30 our meals had not arrived we went up the bar to ask how much longer?the barman, one of two who had been out for a fag twice already at the front of the pub in full view of customers - in the time we had been there said he would go and check and disappeared, we sat back down he went back to the bar and continued serving he never even came to tell us what was happening? 10 minutes later so 1 hour 10 minutes after we had ordered my husband spoke to the other man serving asked again and said the other barman was supposed to be checking? He was gone a good while when he finally came back we were told he was very sorry but there had been a problem in the kitchen and he had had to put another chef on! So we had been there since 5 it was now 7 pm and we asked for a full refund which has yet to be received! We walked out of that place in disbelief we would not return even if they paid us to!

I love this pub, absolutely Brilliant, lovely staff, lovely atmosphere, the food is gorgeous, I now go to the westacres frequently

I have commented on this establishment before and nothing has changed. Staff are extremely friendly and know what they're doing. The manager is a character who spend as much time as he can with the customers which in my opinion is a very good thing. The beer and food is always impeccable and all needs are catered for. Dogs are welcome which is a bonus compared to other pubs and snacks and water for them are available. Can't say enough about this pub, I will be coming here as long as the management stay the same.

Had my anniversary party at the westacres. Matt and the team couldn't have done a better job! The whole night and atmosphere was fantastic! The food was superb 👌 we will definitely be having another party here again soon. Thank you for making our night amazing 👏

Excellent staff excellent service, can’t fault the team they are so friendly and attentive you can really tell they are dedicated to the pub. Food was fab as always and came quickly. Waitress checked back in with us to make sure everything was ok. Had desserts and coffees to finish off a great night overall.

We came to the pub primarily for the legendary quiz night which everyone should give a go at least once but now regularly eat there with friends. The staff are one of the friendliest teams around and happy to help no matter how busy it gets. The menu is typical pub food, there is a good selection so everyone should be able to find something they like. The portions are a good size making it value for money.

Had an amazing time at the quiz on Thursday. Really fun and a nice atmosphere. Food came quickly despite it being relatively busy and never had to wait at the bar for a drink.

It was my birthday. The food was excellent and our party which included a couple of smaller children, were made extremely welcome. All the staff were very polite and nothing was too much for them. I’ve been a few times this month already and it’s only the 5th.

We came for my moms birthday to play bingo and she had the best time. All of our family and friends came along and enjoyed it. Food was great, service was superb and Matt was brilliant as the bingo caller! Can’t recommend it enough - especially on a Monday for bingo!!

Ordered pudding (caramel apple crumble and custard) and had to cancel because it too long to arrive. Overall service poor and slow. Will never go ever again, do not recommend. Not worth the money…

We ordered 2 drinks at the bar and the service was excellent, professional and polite. We both ordered 'Posh fish and chips' ( Sea bass), it was served quite quickly, lovely presentation and tasted delicious. The waitress asked if we needed anything else when the meal was served and during the meal she came over and asked if everything was satistactory. A really enjoyable evening.

Ordered our meal at 4.30, starters arrived at 5.25, mains at 6.25. Food was I overcooked but cold! Vegan burger was served without chips, but the waitress said this was because they weren't vegan! It is not stated on the menu. It was an absolutely awful experience.

Terrible service, most tables empty and service still slow. Food when it did arrive was ok, frozen roast potatoes served. Pudding didn't even arrive!!! Will never go ever again, do not recommend.
