Came with my partner for a nice night away.. but Manchester City was playing and he needed to find somewhere to watch it, of course 😂 .. me being an Arsenal supporter would rather have just stayed in the hotel, relaxing 😂 Found this pub and we knew it would be the place straight away. The man we spoke to was very friendly and my partner got chatting to him straight away. The man placed us right infront of the TV and we had a great view for the football match - we also had great company from an older couple who was seated next to us! We ordered food - a burger and a fish sandwich. Both were very much enjoyed. We found that there wasn't much choice to choose from and the prices were a bit much but we did enjoy it - can't complain about price when we're on 'holiday'. Would definitely recommend! Didn't catch the man's name but thank you for making us feel welcome!

Our first visit for Sunday lunch since our previous review in February 2024, and it was much better this time. Yes, the Roasts at the Vintner are nicer however they are significantly more expensive. The Roast Chicken this time came with stuffing and was definitely not fried! Very warm welcome from the young lad behind the bar and the food was delivered very quickly. Nice selection of vegetables and great gravy. We were fortunate to get a table as a walk in with lots of tables already reserved. It's a dog friendly pub rather than a dog welcoming pub however overall we had q very nice lunch and will not wait another year before having Sunday roasts again (we are locals).

Té insípido en una olla de té por "dos" por £ 5. 20 . Apenas tenía suficiente para dos tazas pequeñas. Muy decepcionado. No regresaré.

Un pub antiguo tan maravilloso, el personal es fantástico! ! ! Lindsey y Emma hicieron todo lo posible para darnos la bienvenida, era mi fin de semana de cumpleaños, aparecimos el viernes y charlamos con las chicas, a nuestra llegada nuevamente el sábado para ver una banda que me recibió con un globo y un prosecco así como los pavos reales tejanos cantando feliz cumpleaños. Pasamos una noche increíble, los lugareños son muy amables y el lugar estaba a tope, no podemos esperar para volver a visitarlo.

Bonito pub amigable con habitaciones, y además de ser dog friendly también tienen perros en recepción para saludarte a tu llegada! 😂
