Absolutely gorgeous pub - food and service was amazing...AND they have Kirin Ichiban on tap. I wish this was my local!!

Good food, good service, good atmosphere, maybe a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Called on a Monday lunchtime, cosy cafe with friendly staff. Ordered soup and sandwich combo - prawn salad for one and Shropshire blue cheese with chutney on another, both served with spicy tomato and chorizo soup. All very tasty. Reasonably priced too - definitely will return.

We booked for dinner as we knew the White Lion had reopened for food with a new chef. We were not disappointed the food was delicious, we had the rib eye steak, the sea bass special and the penne vodka. All were beautifully cooked and served. The service was great and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be eating here again.

Like stumbling into a house party on a university campus, everyone was friendly like you’d known them for years. Everywhere you look there’s something that makes you smile and the music was amazing. I never really write reviews but it’s 7am and I’m still laughing about last night.

So much better now under new management! Look forward to visiting again soon. Cheers dan

This place has got very expensive lately and it really grates that no prices in the bakery section are displayed. They basically can charge what they want which is wrong. Cakes have gone up AGAIN way above inflation. Buns that were £1 a year ago are now £1.60. Sorry they have lost me as a good customer after 10 years

The food is fantastic.And stuff is absolutely brilliant.Overall fears.Is I just loved it?And the failure of the price is worse for spectacular

The flights on the darts kept coming off, a very nice pub.

Consistently a great pub - based on being a local but that gives us an advantage of an average score over 52 weeks! Highly recommended
