Like stumbling into a house party on a university campus, everyone was friendly like you’d known them for years. Everywhere you look there’s something that makes you smile and the music was amazing. I never really write reviews but it’s 7am and I’m still laughing about last night.

Worth a visit if you ever come to Whitchurch - it must be the most unique and bizarre place around. Live music, cheap drinks, themed events, live stuffed tigers skeletons etc

My fiance played here at the weekend as support to our friends' band ... everyone was welcoming and really friendly and supportive. We loved the quirkiness of this place with its antiques and felt that if we lived nearer then we would be regulars. People who saw the gig seemed to really appreciate it and we left feeling as though we had made new friends. The sound engineer deserves a particular mention. Thanks for your input. We can't wait to come back again. Shaun and Joolz

Whilst my WiFi and I are both getting on in years, we still remember how awful punk rock was along with jazz. Thankfully, Percy's has nothing to do with such genres, focusing specifically in providing great tea, great cake and some beers for younger people. A great place and a nice alternative to the Last Orders pub nearby. I shall definitely be coming back again and again to sing along to the great music being played in the background, UB40, Def Leppard, et al. Be careful of the chairs, they are not what they seem! Lovely place.

First visit to Percy's last night for a gig and will definitely be back for more. This is a great quirky bar and coffee shop all rolled into one which is perfect, and then you get a perfect small live music area at the back. The sound is superb and puts a lot of larger venues to shame and having the bar away from the music helps a lot. Lovely helpful staff and owners. I really couldn't be more positive about this place. Looking forward to going back.

Ok, so if you would like to sit in an antique dentist's chair around a morticians table while drinking Irish moonshine then Percy's will cater for your masochism. If on the other hand you fancy coffee and crumpets in business class airline seats you can do that too! Whatever you choose to do, you will rub shoulders with a diverse cross-section of people and make a new friend or two.Friendly helpful staff, great live music at weekends and a fine selection of interesting alcoholic beverages make Percy's the best place to while away the few free moments between cradle and grave!

I always recall visiting this place during my biker years when it was the Star Hotel. Whitchurch was always a great run out and it's a small market town that is well-worth a visit.Percy's Coffee is a place for people who like difference. It is relaxing and laid back and you are surrounded by interesting curios and antiques. The staff are helpful and friendly and they occasionally put on live music. If you are into rock, Goth or punk or just like something that is alternative, then this is a place to visit. You can also have a beer or a light meal, too. It's actually worth a visit just to see the myriad of interesting artefacts on display.

This was my first visit to Whitchurch, unfortunately I was driving so it was J2Os for me. This is one seriously quirky place, couldn't look around fast enough to look at all the werid and wonderful decor. Nice little area to sit and watch the live band outside, we got lucky and it was a warm, sunny evening. But I'm guessing with the outside roof people still sit outside when it's raining.Me and my friend will defo be back-on a proper drinking night!

Amazing place!During the day this quaint little pub/bar is an unusual coffee shop, also serving light bites and locally baked cakes, the building is decorated with vintage and antique items, right down to the chairs you sit on and the tables your food or drink is placed up.However during the evening the coffee house transforms into alive music venue with bands from as far afield as Japan (the last time i was there) it gets very busy as you can imagine but still holds a friendly, fun atmosphere. If you visit Whitchurch this is on place you can't miss out!

Walked through town stopping at numerous pubs and spending money very freely, on the journey through one of the group suggested this highly reviewed pub and so we thought we'd give it ago! As we walked in we did notice and appreciate the different decor, very nice! However we were welcomed with an unhappy bar staff and glares from what we presume to be the locals? After a very uneasy, cheap, vile pint and the feeling of being unappreciated we decided to leave and can assure that we will not be returning anytime soon!(or ever!) a place not worthy of the appraisal it receives! Definitely will not be recommending!

The staff are a lovely bunch with a smile always on there face's and the skillz to pay da billz to make a really good flat white hahaBut if you are more of a "night life" kind of person once again no need to go else where a there is a kick-butt selection of ale's, beer's, something a little stronger for the veterans and lovely wine for the ladies not forgetting the fact that there is a live stage held within that never fails to put on amazing local acts from Whitchurch its self to the middle of flipping Asia (world famous Percy's) would (and have) recommend to anyone 10/10

Been here twice since we discovered Percy's. Fantastic décor, old airline seats, old quirky dentists chairs, antique jukebox and a moose head WOW. Fabulous bar area with a dance floor to one side so you can bust some shapes should you wish to do so! Outside they have a patio area with seating undercover and an awesome outdoor stage with a log burner to keep you warm, a coffin in the corner overlooked by a backlit stained glass window and most exciting of all a waltzer car suspended from the roof! In the bar they show all live bands on a big screen so you don't have to venture out if you don't want to, they also have one in the window to tempt in passers-by which is inspired! Beer is great, they even have their own cider which is so lethal it is named Suicider! The staff are friendly to a point where you feel like they are your friends and you have always known them, who could ask for more. Excellent venue. i will be returning and bringing all my friends.

Popped in this weirdly cute little coffee shop on my way home from visiting family. I had my young son with me and needed somewhere I could relax while feeding him his bottle. The old fashioned seats were really comfortable and the my skinny latte with caramel syrup was delicious (a lovely option asked to me by the barista). I also enjoyed a brie and cranberry sandwhich which was really tasty.

Every place has good or bad reviews. One has to take into account that some bad reviews are from folk that were suffering sour grapes and not being allowed to join in the fun of the party. I found everyone here to be helpful full of fun. Bent over backwards to accommodate and generally made me feel very welcome. I suffer from agoraphobia. This is a very unusual place, it is a cafe/pub/shop in the middle of town. We went for coffee and had a quick look around. There are lots of different chairs and tables to sit on from various places ( aeroplanes, theatres etc. ) There are also a lot of "vintage" bits of furniture, juke boxes, cash tills, pictures etc. for sale. The coffee was nice, but it has a feel of a very scruffy shed! I would love to have spent more time searching the shop part. It's worth a look if you're a fan of antiques and I think it's a CAMRA pub too, but check that out before you go!

we always try to come here when we can get in and don’t fancy cooking one ourselves. the meat selection is always good and very generous, their roast potatoes are the best - lovely and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. it is a carvery so can help yourself. they unfortunately don’t have any mash but we just add extra roasties! their gravy is lovely and homemade with the meat juices in. the staff are lovely and attentive. our favourite place to go for sunday lunch!
