Greasy Cold Bacon Bap. Stopped here as I had done many many times on my way to Telford to see my grandchildren. Staff were as usual very pleasant but this time the bacon bap was cold greasy and unappetising. Should I call again?

Love to come here for a cheeky coffee sometimes before facing doing the weekly shop! The coffee is great, especially the cappuccino; perfect froth to coffee ratio with a generous sprinkle of choccy on the top. The cafe itself is wonderful as it has big windows all around which let in lots of sunlight, despite the view of the car park. There is lots of good seating, my personal favourite being the orange chairs by the windows!!

if you want a coffee or a sarnie its ok- but anything else involves a wait whilst they take it out a freezer and wazz it in the microwave.Today I had a curry pie and carrot/peas -the pie crust was rock hard and the veg cold- for a fiver. They are missing an opportunity here -if they served nice food telling you it was available to buy in store it might improve sales!

Just come back from here having treated kids to hot chocolate and myself a milkshake and to my disbelief I see the lady in which is serving us, finish with the squirty cream on the milkshake to turn away, although other customers were in que so must have seen this too, use her MOUTH to take remaining cream from squirty cream container and ate it! Truly disgusting and unacceptable I hope there are cameras in there and she gets the sack! Never again will I be using this cafe!

Can't really complain as the food is reasonably priced and served quickly and politely. There just seemed to be something missing - I felt I was holding them up, they seemed as if they wanted me to hurry up and leave. Had ham, egg and chips - the chips were hot and very nice, eggs were dripping with oil which was rather off putting.

Why, oh why, can’t establishments like this serve food that is piping hot on a hot plate, it’s not rocket science, and even rocket science is not all that difficult, the experience would be so much better. The food was served quite quickly by reasonably pleasant staff but it just was just a little bit better than o.k. Would eat there again but nothing to rave about.

So you are going shopping and fancy either a coffee /breakfast. I tried "another bigger supermarket" in Wrexham twice -and that was enough. Often i use Morrisons ( Derby) cafe whose sausages & beans are superb. But today the local Sainsburys did a good job for £6.20 inc latte in a nice size mug.

Seems that every time we come to sainsbury we have something to eat, today was no exception. My wife had the cottage pie and veg,she enjoyed it although some more gravy would have been welcomed, likewise the sausage and mash that I had needed more gravy, don't understand when an item that costs pence is scrimped on although having moaned at that the sausages were some of the best I've had anywhere I've ever eaten. So something to think about sainsbury café bosses? Anyway £12 filled us up with food and drink so came away happy, come on make me give you a five next time more gravy.

Had a quick latte - very nice. The Sainsbury shopping experience however ruined by the poor till service. Why bother having a quick basket service till when it is rarely "manned"? Alternatively, if a shopper ignores the clear signage of "baskets" only and expects a full trolley to be accommodated why does the supervisor not open another till for the poor soul who only has a few items and then close it again.y

Well we been here before and was not impressed so I attended today against my wishes.Started off bad,Soft drinks machine out of order,Queuing at the till,No tea pots on the counter,Considering customers have to mostly self service their drinks, cutlery, sugars etcIt was very slow, the rooms looking dated - old and tried, the floor has seen better days the grouting is lifting out in places.I Stood watching Darron on the telephone ( maybe trying to get someone to fix the drinks machine )So we sat down and waited. The food came quickly and the plate was full of perfectly cooked food, yes for me the food saved the day, I left with a full and contented belly, a very good recovery.Well done to the back room chefs.

I was told that the mulligatawny soup was delicious by a server but I thought it was like a 1970s Vesta packet curry with loads of rice which made it sticky and not like a soup at all. The sauce was unpalatable and the roll was er...well...just a Sainsbury's cheap roll. Still, it was cold outside and I needed something to eat as I was away from home so I ate it but it wasn't nice.

Visited this café on the spur of the moment for a light lunch, with the usual low expectation of a supermarket café. What a nice surprise ! My husband & I could not get over how incredibly helpful, pleasant and friendly the staff were - from those serving to those clearing tables. We could easily have been in a fine dining restaurant, if service levels were the only measure.I don't know who did the staff training, but you did a good job ! And thank you staff - you made us feel most welcome - what a lovely bunch you are !

my deaughter, grand-daughter and i had been shopping and needed food and the only place for us was sroomsainsburys..... for some reason cafes shut at teatime, something i've never understood.... i asked for the brunch as there isn't much to choose from on the menu. the items included mushrooms and chips which i didn't want so i asked if i could have extra tom instead of the mushrooms and an extra sausage instead of the chips. i got half a tomato inplace of the 2 items.the sausages had been pre cooked and kept warm, the bacon was chewy, the tomato was shrivelled and everything was warm not hot. my grand-daughter had fish fingers, mash and peas. i returned the fish fingers as they were barely warm, grey and chewy.the replaced ones were not much better,,,thin , cheap grey looking. most of her meal was left. my daughter had sausage, chips and egg...... again only warm. when the FRESH freshngers were brought we were TERSLY told that everything was cooked fresh. this may be true ........but how long ago?????

Visited this lovely country pub following recommendations from neighbours. The menu is small but full of home made dishes. As a group of 4 we enjoyed chicken and Stilton pie and vegetables, gammon, sweetcorn, chips and pineapple, chilli con carne and a really meaty pork chop, chips and peas. Really good home cooked food so much better than the normal pub grub. It also means the menu changes regularly. Sensibly priced making eating out a pleasure. Desserts just had to be tried. The whisky bread and butter pudding was suitably named and the apple crumble with custard was a winner too. The Sunday roast advertised at £9.30 will have to be tried another weekend. Delicious home cooked food is always so much better than bought in dishes. We praised the chef and June for a lovely warm welcome and a great meal.

I must echo the views of others. A really lovely restaurant spoiled by sparrows landing on the the table where cakes are being cut and on uncleared tables. Very unhygienic - there must be a way to stop them coming into the tearooms. Never encountered it anywhere else. Health and safety would have a field day!
