The best restaurants serving British food in Market Drayton East Shropshire West Midlands

Cute little winery hidden away next to the canal. Food and drink excellent, although did take a while for food, but was 100% worth it and enjoyed by all. Would definitely recommend and visit again. Easily could spend an afternoon!

Called in on the off chance they could feed us for Sunday Lunch. No tables in restaurant but sat us straight away in the bar .. we saw other couples arrive without reservation and they were given the same nothing is too much trouble friendly service. I have to say one of the best Sunday roasts I’ve eaten.. everything cooked with care and just delicious Thank you

Visited on Chippy Friday and had the steak & ale pie, chips and peas. The homemade pie was Very Good, it was delicious and packed to the rafters with tender lean steak. Meat was top quality (no fat or gristle) as were all the ingredients in the meal. The pie was also a generous portion size. Only just managed to eat everything and I have a big appetite!! I would've rated the pie as Excellent if the gravy in the pie and in the gravy boat had a little more flavour, but that's just personal preference. The chips were chunky-style and tasted nice and again a good portion. I would've preferred the chips to be smaller and crispier, but that's just me. The peas were petit pois and tasted good and a nice portion. Everything was beautifully cooked and the meal was great value at £10. Flavours and textures can vary slightly in meals with each service and I will definitely be back for this meal again and others in this deal.

Very disappointed with the quality of the food served tonight. We ordered food fairly early in the evening. When we opened the food the chips were clearly old … probably reheated from lunchtime service… all shrivelled and dry. Also ordered a large portion for a family of 5 to share. I have had larger small portions in other places. Perhaps with a lock of local competition standards seemed to have dropped?!

A lovely afternoon out for six friends. Consistently the best dining experience for miles around. We are repeat customers for meals and have yet to be disappointed.

Had to have my mug changed as it was dirty but apart from that, the restaurant was clean, it's easy to order, plenty of seating, great prices and good grub. Food came really quickly and staff are helpful and friendly.

Came to the coopers arms for the fish and the batter was proper crispy and tasted amazing. Hopefully there will be more on the menu when we next visit though 😄
