Cute little winery hidden away next to the canal. Food and drink excellent, although did take a while for food, but was 100% worth it and enjoyed by all. Would definitely recommend and visit again. Easily could spend an afternoon!

Called in on the off chance and were lucky enough to be offered a table by Mitch, who seated us and swiftly took drinks order. We both had a Sunday lunch which was fabulous, one of the best Sunday lunches we have had in while. Service was quick and delivered with a smile 😊

Very disappointed with the quality of the food served tonight. We ordered food fairly early in the evening. When we opened the food the chips were clearly old … probably reheated from lunchtime service… all shrivelled and dry. Also ordered a large portion for a family of 5 to share. I have had larger small portions in other places. Perhaps with a lock of local competition standards seemed to have dropped?!

We came here for lunch as a family having found the pub by searching the area for somewhere to eat. The experience from start to finish was outstanding. From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left the experience was faultless. The service from the young lady who greeted and served us was impeccable. Then came the food which was excellent, two of my family had fish and chips and both said the fish was the best they had tasted. The rest of the party had the chicken, bacon and leek pie and everyone was very happy with this choice, the pie is cooked in-house and is a proper pie, with a succulent chicken filling and perfect leek sauce. The pub itself is lovely with lots of seating areas in a beautiful village with countryside views. We will definately be returning to try more of the menu.

A cloudy, cold, damp Monday in Shropshire and happy for it! We wandered around the shops, the charity shops and then it was lunch time and into The Hippodrome we did go. Quiet, not busy, lots of seating to choose from. Ordered drinks at the bar and then selected 3 items from the "3 for..." selection. Chicken Wings are SO good! Chips hot, crispy and delicious. The Pizza? Underdone, mushy crust...wanted hubby to send it back but he just carried on and ate the bits that he could. Not an outstanding meal at a Wetherspoons but it suited our needs for the day. Wetherspoons is in the midst of lots of special deals and you just can't beat the prices.
