We ate here as there wasn't much choice the evening we arrived here. We had two tikkas and a child's pizza. It was all as expected. The food arrived quickly. We'd happily eat here again.

Another decent wetherspoons. Right across from the bus park/station.At the edge of a lovely market town. Good food and drink at great prices. We'll definitely go here again.

Ordered mixed grill and it was the worse one ever had. All meat overcooked and hard. Couldn't tell what was which type, ie lamb, pork loin etc. All meats cut very thin. Would not order this again

Bulk standard Wetherspoons. Nice building and good town centre location. Always a good selection of well priced beers. Food looked nice but didn't eat ourselves. Will go back and try the food.

Don't get me wrong ,the food was good a part from the pizza .. Had to send them back twice due to them been heavily burnt and on the 3rd time they said this is the best we can do .. Still burnt but a little better.. On the other hand my Chicken tikka masala was bang on 😎.

Absolutely great local Wetherspoons , however really needs a update or a good clean . Can't knock the staff they are great .

Always a nice place to have a breakfast and staff really helpful, cannot fault, chef must be happy as cracking cooked eggs 😉

Came in for the euros final - took multiple people asking the manager to turn the TV on so we could watch the build up, he initially kept refusing amd said he'd put it on just before the match started. I ordered on the app, added a charity donation for a care bears pin badge as advertised on the app. Went to the till to collect it and while I was waiting two women were serving drinks and talking - "some idiot ordered a charity pin badge on the app" and laughing about it. I interrupted and asked if they had them, to which they suddenly changed their tune and said no they discontinued them over a week ago but I could find them in other shops or pubs. Food came, my burger was missing bits stated on the menu but it was fine otherwise.

A good wetherspoons, plenty of space and kept tidy. Have gone many times after sporting events with the team, always able to find a table and serve everyone.

Called in Wetherspoons. Market Drayton Saturday morning for breakfast ordered at 1017 food came at 1112 overcooked half pieces of bacon and everything freezing. Asked for my money back and left. Went to Shepleys butchers got 4 breakfast sausages 4 pieces of back bacon £5. Went home 10 minutes in the air fryer poached egg and beans job done. Tells a story.

We visited at lunchtime and chose from the vast menu selection which included a drink. Prompt service via app ordering and everything was as expected. It was relatively quiet when we were there at the start of the lunchtime period but I was pleased to see I didn't have to clear and clean the table before our food arrived.

This was our second visit for refreshments as we returned home from the Midlands. On both occasions outside was very busy but relatively quiet inside. Easy to get served at the bar (no need to use App) and all drinks to the expected standard at the usual reasonable Wetherspoon prices.

Used to be an acceptable Wetherspoons but standards have slipped. Tables not cleaned and glasses left on table. Rude staff tried to tell me how a Leffe should be served. Will not be returning.

Lovely atmosphere, much bigger than expected but split into sections for more privacy

How ridiculous. So you can understand not allowing dogs in a pub especially if they serve a lot of food but we were turned away from using the outside area at the front of the pub because we had dogs. They stupidly suggested that we sat close to the wall and either made our dogs sit on the wall or on the public footpath on the other side of the wall. I don't think I've ever been turned away from using an outside area before. Have a rethink Witherspoons!

I Had the American breakfast and it was terrible pancakes were hard ! Eggs hard sausages cold plate cold but the hash browns were ok

Been a few times in the evening and it’s everything you expect and with a good service. Three of us went on Saturday morning for breakfast - not impressed. Couldn’t order an ‘All day brunch’ at 11 am. No explanation or apology. Ordered a big breakfast that didn’t come with advertised mushrooms. Again, no explanation or apology. Even when I asked the person collecting the plate - nothing.

Popped into The Hippodrome market drayton with my girlfriend haven't been in there for years I had a pint of shipyard netty had a glass of wine the food looked nice coming out of the kitchen had a chat with some old friends service was good atmosphere lovely

Great interior space. Vast area, warm, great choice of colours and wall displays. Friendly, hard working staff. Just the best all day brunch of any Wetherspoons I have ever been in. Ground floor toilets was a bonus, instead of the usual route march up stairs. All in all 10 out of 10

It's a spoons so everything is adequate to have a decent visit. The beer range is small here, but usually well kept and as a venue for a quick bite to eat, it's quick and decent quality. It can be a bit variable at times, with pizza 'extra toppings seemingly dependent on what they have available.

I was in Market Drayton a month ago and had a good meal here with really good service. At the time it was very quiet and the staff had very little to do. On my return I ordered the same food a mixed grill. This time the chips were stone cold the meat was extremely dry and like cardboard. The only good thing about the meal was the sausage the rest was rubbish. Even the onion rings were under cooked. Lots of dirty tables and poor customer service. I’m sure they don’t care and don’t read these reviews but it’s the only place in town to get a meal after 9pm.

If I'm comparing to other chains I'm probably going 1-2 stars, but it's a Spoons, so I will rate this placed based on other Spoons in nearby towns. This place is straight down the middle, not the busiest, not the quietest, food is average, which is expected, but it's not expensive so it's on value, it's kept relatively clean and tidy too, some Spoons are simply disgusting, this one is ok. Service seems fine, I use the app so other than food hitting the table there's not much to go on. Doesn't have its own parking, but really isn't far from car parks, 2 or 3 minutes walks from either direction.

Great place to pop in for a pint after work and the prices are outstanding to. Fine for a cheap night out

Good place to get food at a good price .

This place is always full and the experience is always patchy. Today was especially bad. We ordered the all day brunch and a medium rare steak. The brunch was missing a sausage and bacon so I went to the bar to ask. Despite being told twice and even asking to confirm, the lad still only brought out the sausage not bacon. Then the steak was awful, a cheap and nasty cut full of sinew and still raw - lukewarm to the touch in places! The only thing I can say was good was the coffee machine. I know, you get what you pay for, but not being funny, we didn't even get that!

Staff is ok the food well not to good but you only get what you pay for. I don't think I will go back but try it and see what you think

Had a mixed grill - good with baked potatoes. Service excellent. Definitely value for money. 4 years later, we visited again. ❤️ still value for money, good service and wholesome food. Excellent choice of beers.

This place is heaving on evenings and it's nice to go on the afternoon as well when it's quieter. The food is cheap but is always hot. You get what you pay for but the meals aren't bad given how cheap it is. Drinks are cheap as well. Good choice of meals including vegetarian. A lovely building full of character. Nice to see a pub that is still thriving.

The food is disgusting, have had a few things on the menu for the past few day. Not my choice to come back ,I'm with my grandparents. I've been to alto of weatherspoons and I have to say this is worse than the Wilfred Owen in Oswestry. The cutlery isn't clean and the food is 🤢 the staff are the only good thing about the place!

Various places to sit; cosy nook, bar area and a light dining area. A good choice of food on the menu. Good place to go if you don't feel like cooking. Parking is mot available on site but there is street parking and car parks nearby.

Better than your usual 'spoons pub. Food was good, arrived fast and quality sized portions. Easy going atmosphere and good for a quick pint or two

As with everywhere prices up and portions down, however the worse thing is that your glass is filled to the brim with ice. This is especially galling when you have a coke, which means when the ice is removed, its not even half full!@!

Went here yesterday 3/9/23 group of 6 food was cold eggs rubbery not presented well just dumped on plate. Staff brought drinks over just left on tray and walked off terribly service

Nice atmosphere. Knowledgable young man on the bar knew about the beers he was selling. All around a good place to visit.

Awful experience last night. Called at the pub about 6.00pm intending to have a couple of beers and a meal. One girl behind the bar serving and a queue of people waiting. Eventually my turn arrived and ordered my wife's drink then mine. Paid for the drinks only to be informed that my chosen beverage had run out at the pump and would be brought to our table asap. After an extremely long wait and a few requests to staff delivering drinks to nearby tables decided to leave. Will not be returning.

Just had a drink outside. All on one level inside, even toilet s, makes it wheelchair friendly. Looks really nice inside.

As I now live 2 mins from Spoons I am a regular visitor and find ALL the staff very friendly and helpful, they are all a credit to the company, long may it continue and thank you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Always a great breakfast, but count your eggs.

Used various Wetherspoons on occasions in the past and, while the food has not been great, it has always been very good value for money, unfortunately this pub in Market Drayton has proven the exception. Both meals ordered were very cool with the mixed grill ranging from cold to tepid. In my opinion insufficient care and attention had been paid to the basic storage/cooking temperature of the foods. Perhaps they may benefit from advice being given to them by Environmental Health. I won't be revisiting.

Food is always good here, I recommend the eggs benadict for breakfast. Free coffee/tea refills all day. Clean and tidy and the staff are friendly.

Most of the tables were filthy. Staff oblivious. Ridiculous. Food was okay. Overpriced for what you get.

i ordered a pizza, which came out burned to a blackened cinder, the server observed the pizza and agreed that it was unacceptable. initially she offered to take it back and cut the burnt edges off. this wouldn’t help with the burnt toppings sprawled across the pizza. exasperated already by the situation, i asked that the pizza be taken away and a new one be made that wasn’t burnt. a fresh pizza was bought out, the edges were burnt, the server told me it was unavoidable. i have cooked many a pizza in my time so i know that was a lie. the middle was raw. i’m utterly appalled and seriously concerned about the people Wetherspoons are employing to work in their kitchen.

Stepped in for a few drinks after a 10k race in the area. Nice bar, staff friendly and... It's a wetherspoons so there prices are good!

We were looking for a late lunch after having a poor experience at the Gingerbread Man, (Greene King). The service was prompt, efficient. We had simple curry, (excellent), and a veggie pizza, (also excellent). The staff dealt professionally with a medical emergency. Overall a good experience, and it is very reasonably priced. However, my wife uses a wheelchair, and when we used the disabled toilet, which is excellently equipped, there was a problem. Looking at the toilet from a lower level, she noticed that the toilet bowl underneath the rim was absolutely filthy. I suggest staff should take a lower-down perspective when cleaning this toilet to remedy this. She didn't mention this to me until we had arrived back at our holiday cottage, so we couldn't mention it to the staff at the time. Apart from that we were very happy.

Good bar staff, management need a better thought of motivation as the young lady was serving on her own. Cheap beer.

It took 3 attempts to get our breakfast to us hot Two breakfast and 1 vegetarian breakfast. All cold and on the 3rd attempt the vegetarian meal came with bacon on and when asked to change it the waitress said just take the bacon off. Not at all good

Very disappointing breakfast. Normally Wetherspoons breakfasts are reliable and good value, but today I got a freezing cold breakfast which included one extremely shrivelled mushroom, two half pieces of bacon ( both overcooked and tasting of having been cooked on a dirty grill), and two overcooked eggs. I mentioned it to a member of staff and got the response “ I’ll let the kitchen know”.

Pub kept farily clean, fast service, food and drink price usally cant be beaten.

Only went in for coffee very good value and the place was nice and warm with open fire

An enjoyable if predictable experience. But no complaints. Wetherspoons is what it is. But at least it's consistent in it's service. You know what choices you will have. It's cheap and cheerful. Generally my Wetherspoons visits are enjoyable and this one, although brief was no exception. I was served by a very courteous and pleasant young man, whose service I thought was extremely good. Which made for an enjoyable visit.
