Amazing breakfast, cooked to perfection and a lovely coffee too. Great prices. Service was quick. The atmosphere there was very welcoming and the lady who was working is absolutely lovely. She was pleasant and polite and a great cook. Thank you for a lovely experience and for feeding me. x

Great bar people are alright as well. The Selection of drinks is substandard but other than that it’s alright.

It's a really nice hotel with really comfy beds. Everything is spotless and clean. The staff are really nice and friendly, the breakfast was really nice. The rooms are very spacious with a decent size bathroom and a good shower. I would highly recommend a stay here. The queen's Hall is only 5 minutes' walk away and the town centre 8 minute walk.

Dropped in here with my 8 year old son today for a cuppa and for him to have a mid- bike ride plate of chips. Tea and chips were spot on but service was impeccable. Staff are LOVELY. So polite, welcoming, friendly and offered tap water to my son without us even asking, as he didn't want a fizzy drink. Yes I can't lie the decor is quite tired but everything is immaculate, clean and presented as best as it can but the food and definitely the staff make up for it and more. Will be back!

Brilliant bar, variety of coffees, handmade cocktails, IPA’s, Hawkstone Lager and Hawkstone IPA (Jeremy Clarkson) and also have Church end craft Ales, which is great as they’re a local business too. Really cool bar with an axel from a car as the dispenser for the beer taps, very unique! Seating available inside and out and good music!

Been going to this place for 30 years. It went through a rough psych around 10 years ago but I was really impressed when visiting recently. The place was packed and it's clear to see why. The steak I had was the best I've had here. It was tender and cooked to perfection. Considering how busy it was, the food came quickly. Well done to the staff

This cafe has always been cheap with good food. It has been taken over by new owners and it is the same quality food cooked to perfection. The prices have always been low with the old owners. We walked in today for some lunch. We noticed the newly printed menu. My husband wanted a small breakfast which always has been £ 5.50 but it had gone up in price to £ 6.50. I wanted a cheese and ham toastie which was £ 4.50 but now gone up to £ 5.95!!!!! You have a breakfast for £ 6.50! I can't justify £ 5.95 for a toastie and sadly for the greedy new owners we walked out without ordering. We won't be coming back after 15 years. Wish Sharon (the previous owner) was still here. On a previous visit before the price increase we saw the new owner get into a spat with a customer and was quite rude.
