Good place to go even if you just want to eat with the family. The main food was decent but desert was definitely a highlight. Overall a nice place.

Stayed for a night but didn't eat here. Room was very nice and a good price. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The pub is somewhat corporate which isn't to my taste.

Came in Sunday for a meal, very good food for a very good price. Served by George who was amazing, very polite and excellent service. Definitely coming back again

The tables were sticky, and despite the restaurant being mostly empty, we waited for 40 minutes on a Sunday at 6 pm. The food arrived on the colder side. The crispy chicken strips from the starter menu tasted low-quality, but the Fanta came in a large glass and cost £3.40. The cheapest beer, Carling, was priced at £4.70. Honestly, I don't plan on eating here again anytime soon.

Cannot fault the service from Leah a credit to The Chase team. Was encouraging to see such a reputable individual make time for the customers. Great value for money with a buzzing atmosphere.

Worst meal I have had here in a long time. Had a burger and it was very dry. It’s cheap food and you get what you pay for but usually it’s very good here.

Disappointed to say that The Chase has gone completely downhill. Always visited and enjoyed the food in the past but our meal last week was horrendous. First of all £80 on a meal for 4 and I’ve never left a restaurant feeling more hungry! We waited for 45 minutes for the starters and probably would’ve waited longer if I hadn’t mentioned something to a waitress. I know 45 minutes may not sound like a long time but it wasn’t like the restaurant was busy! Majority of our food was left uneaten as the standard was just so below what it should’ve been. We ordered the ultimate feast starter which firstly they had no garlic bread so should’ve really got something else in place as we paid full price, the chicken wings were the most vile chicken wings I’ve ever seen / tasted, it was clear that the food was not fresh just simply frozen then possibly heated in the microwave. One meal was the Tandoori Temptress burger which was the blandest burger you’ve ever tasted the onion bhaji on there was absolutely disgusting. The onion rings used to be phenomenal at the chase but now are clearly just store bought mushy frozen ones. To say we won’t be returning is an understatement so so disappointing.

I went here with family today. Place is spacious and pretty nice looking. The food was average. Nothing special about it, but it also wasn't awful.

Stayed in hotel for 2 nights , lovely clean room and comfy bed. Couple of niggles... only 1 coffee sachet and 2 tea bags in room on arrival-had to ask for more as we'd travelled over 100 miles, and wasn't going to last us very long. Also no toilet brush in bathroom, never know when you're going to need one! Breakfast was nice, plenty of choice. Staff friendly and meals very good. Would recommend and would stay again.

Our go to for a family lunch or dinner

Staff are really helpful and happy to chat. Food is very good and very quick service. This is now my third stay for work. Rooms are really nice. Breakfast is superb. Not a big fan of the connecting rooms as you can clearly hear the person next door. But room rates are very reasonable and I will definitely be staying again.

Came here tonight for the England game and the atmosphere was brilliant, all the staff including the security were amazing and friendly even given how busy they were. Food was amazing, had the flamin grill steak and it was probably the best steak I’ve had in the last 6 months. The staff in here are very welcoming and very helpful. Thank you for the hospitality and for accommodating during a very busy night. Will return again

We ate from the two mains for £13.99. I had the sizzling gammon with jacket potato and my husband had his favourite fish and chips. Both were excellent, served to us with very little time to wait, and overall a good experience.

Great venue to watch the soccer ball. Good quick pub grub. Ellie and her team of super staff were very accommodating throughout. I recommend the brownie. Ellie was particularly brilliant serving us. Thank you!

Stayed two nights b&b, reasonably priced with good beds, very clean room and an excellent choice of breakfast. Meals are also available from lunch time till 8:30pm and are good quality. I would happily recommend this hotel

Fantastic service. Very clean and staff were very friendly and efficient! Beds were so comfortable, had a great night’s sleep. Food was delicious. Lovely location, walking distance to town and train station but very quiet and surrounded by beautiful grounds. Will definitely book again soon! 😁

Great food. Speedy helpful service. Fair prices. Comprehensive menu. Plenty of room. Will go again. Been again today. New menus and prices gone up by quite a bit. For instance the seniors deal has gone from 4.99 to 6.49 which is a big jump. Still very nice food.

Staying all week so trying something different each night. The rump steak was delicious and well cooked by Harry to my specification. The floor staff are friendly and helpful and cannot do enough to ensure an enjoyable experience.

Came to the chase to make the most of the beer garden on a sunny day. Justin pours a cracking pint. Nice one mate.

A group of us met here for a meal and a catch up. We had reserved a table and im glad we did as it was very busy. We had to wait for a while at the bar to order our food but were able to order separate which was good, instead of having to faff splitting the bill. We didn't have to wait too long for the food to come. I'd ordered a burger and it was relatively good in honesty. But I have had nicer, hence the 4 star rating rather than 5. Overall, not a bad meal. Good value for money! Would come here again!

Ordered chicken wings, chips and garlic mushrooms for a quick bite on the way home. 20+minutes later no food. Enough time to flash cook everything My husband checked with staff and hey presto food appeared but everything was tepid(probably left on the passe and not collected immediately by the server.) The server put all the items on the table but no finger bowl for sticky fingers after eating sticky, sweet chilli wings. So we needed side plates.Asked for 2 plates and they arrived.......cold.Unbelievable.The staff here haven't got a clue about how to serve food correctly. We were asked if everything was ok and we fed back that food was almost cold.The server did offer to cook a fresh replacement but we couldn't wait any longer. Gave 2 stars for the drinks-1pt of Landlord and a large soda water with ice and lemon.Would we return? -definitely not!!!!

I use the Chase workwise fairly regularly. Large and clean rooms, free coffee etc in room and free WiFi. The food is fantastic and the staff are all very friendly and offer good service. Pub Quiz Night is a must 😁

Following from from a pretty awful experience, we were kindly invited back by the GM Hannah, so they could put things right, and prove that our bad experience was a one off. We went back 24 hours after our poor meal to see if there would be an instant reaction to the issues. We were not disappointed! Credit to Owen and Justin for awesome service, ensuring not only our table but the whole restaurant were satisfied. Top quality food which makes me feel that in my last review, they were having one of those days. During the guest experience it’s not just the quality of your food, drink and service, but how they rectify issues. Hannah and the team, in my opinion, have put any doubt about The Chase behind us and have proven they can still provide the best. We shall return. Thank you once again for a lovely meal!

Ordered a sundae at 5.79 usually on a tall sundae glass instead came half the size and the price had gone up 😢 checked with waitress and apparently that’s the size of them now. How can they Shrink in size and go up in price 🤯 What a rip off sundae 😡

We really like the chase, only problem we have is the food is only just warm never hot it wasn't just us every table was saying the same.

After waiting 2 hours the sizzling steak came out cold on two dinners so were the chips onion rings and peas. The chicken strips were cooked and good so was the Mac’n’cheese. Will not be coming back

Was a really hot day and went out with the dog and partner. Wanted to sit outside with food and a beer. They said we couldn’t order food to the table outside. We couldn’t bring are small puppy inside. Not dog friendly at all. I even asked if I could order the food to a table then I bring it out and even that wasn’t allowed.

We visited with our grandchildren a party 14. Everyone enjoyed their meals which were excellent quality. For a large party all the meals arrived together Big thank you to Leah Charlie,Karen,Justin,George and Ellie for their excellent service

I saw on the Facebook page that there was a new menu so thought I'd try it out. The new menu is fantastic. Wide range of different types of dishes to choose from, personally it had to be the Tikka Tandoori mix grill. The chicken was cooked beautifully and seasoned perfectly. Will definitely be back to tackle that rack if ribs next.

We visited the chase for my Nan’s birthday. First time visiting and was extremely impressed on the level of service and food and drink quality. Everything was good. Was served by Rebecca, Emily and think Hannah Definitely recommended
