A Fabulous meal set in place with a lovely atmosphere and such friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed some top quality food which was very reasonably priced considering the standard of the meal. The braised beef was excellent as were the burgers and steak. The salad was to die for coming with the most amazing dressing! We loved the whole experience so much we booked to come the next evening too! The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble, so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the dishes they serve, telling us how many of the vegetables are grown by the chef. We would thoroughly recommend this lovely place.

We were here celebrating my boyfriendâs birthday. We were welcomed and made comfortable immediately by the staff there. The whole night, the service was impeccable. The restaurant itself was very unique; we loved the black interior and rock playlist. The taster menu was delicious, highlights were the artichoke custard which was very creamy and well balanced with the sesame seeds. The monkfish sauce was delicious, rich, flavourful with a little kick at the end. The sommelier gave us two great recommendations to pair with the meals and was very helpful. The Riesling wine was unbelievable! Not very sweet, delicate and extremely easy to drink.. Definitely will be sourcing a bottle of that! Dessert was well balanced and the perfect end to the meal. I would definitely recommend The Wilderness and would also love to try the sister restaurant now, Albatross.

We cycled over 10 miles to visit this entity which apparently has not been a tea room for over 3 years. It is still showing on the Herefordshire publicity material and cycle guides as a tea room. The photographs on Trip Advisor are also very misleading. There are currently no tea rooms in Pembridge.

I found the green cow kitchen @ Crumplebury very underwhelming and the experience is highly missold. Firstly, the concept of calling it a chefs table when in reality youâre being sat in a large room on a long table with about 20 other guests was a big shock. There was no personal experience nor were the dishes introduced over the sound of other guests on the table. Iâd like to bring you attention to the definition of a chefs table: A table located in the kitchen of a restaurant, reserved for special guests and allowing them to see the chef at work and sometimes to be served a tasting menu. Iâve experienced some great restaurants and when you read what you may experience from a particular restaurant you do normally experience exactly that. In this case I feel like it is very much over compensated with the wording online. The food was genuinely sub standard. The courses didnât seem anything special, the flavour selections were interesting. Nothing wowed me about the food, drinks or service. I had some conversations with the guests that were also awfully disappointed, however, they did say they have had better experiences there at Crumplebury in the past. One positive about the experience is that the grounds of Crumplebury are nice, on a farm and very nicely lit at night.
