Dubberley Delicious in Lichfield

Every course was very good or excellent. The menu was creative without being over the top. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed.

Booked a table for 4 as a celebration of our 30th wedding anniversary. My husband wasn’t aware of what I had booked. Booking was easy and communication with the venue was excellent. We really weren’t sure what to expect; one of the party can be a little fussy with food. The menu which Lucy and Jack came up with was a little beyond what my brother in law would usually eat, but he went with the flow, and none of us were disappointed. We had the restaurant to ourselves, and the food was freshly prepared, beautifully presented and delicious. We opted for the drink pairings, and tried wines which we would not normally have chosen. We are hooked on this dining experience. Fantastic for a special occasion. We will definitely be back and wish Lucy and Jack every success in this venture.

8 course fine dining menu was excellent and food portions much more generous than expected. Jack & Lucy were lovely hosts and clearly very passionate about food and creating the best fine dining experience. There were 6 of us and we had the whole place to ourselves. Every course was exceptional. Lots of attention to detail.

Lucy and Jack offer something really special. We had our wedding reception here, with 15 people total which is on the limit of DD's capacity, and cannot fault any part of it. From the engagement with us to decide our menu through to the service and the incredible food they served it was fantastic. This is michelin standard food, served in a private dining experience, tailored to you, for incredible value for money. I could not recommend Dubberley Delicious enough and am already looking for an excuse to book again.

Unbelievable experience, so relaxed Lucy and Jack what a team. The food and drink were beyond words. I would recommend to anyone.

This is a small, but quality establishment. If you book, and you’ll need to, whether you’re 4 ( minimum number) or 10 people, you’ll have them to yourselves for the evening. It’s operated by a brother & sister & they’re great company through the evening, on top of of a lovely taster menu & great wine choices. The menu can be discussed in advance & customised to your needs. We’ve been 3 times now & this is definitely our Lichfield favourite, more accessible since they moved to the city centre

I can't stop thinking about our food; Dubberley Delicious was literally the best culinary experience I have every had. From start to finish, the entire experience was superb. Lucy organised everything perfectly so that all diets were catered for and for once as a vegetarian I felt like I was getting a treat rather than a secondary option. The setting is intimate and beautifully crafted, even down to the table settings and cutlery. We had a table of 10 so were the only people in and if I am honest, we just felt special (even though clearly this is what they do every night!). As the chef, Jack gave us an explanation of each of our dishes and again, this was in the perfect amount of detail so to engage and inform while not in any way imposing. We spent quite a long time after our experience trying to decide what our favourite dish was, but for me this is just impossible as it all just worked together seamlessly. Whatever is in that chocolate at the end of the meal though is actual heaven - I need it in my life!

Well Jack since our first visit in the little shed at the back of the plant plot for Emma’s birthday you have come a long way and it is well deserved your food never fails to impress us we have bought different friends with us and you have wowed them all you are an amazing chef with such a gift with food and thanks to the way you serve your fish a food I have never eaten before the way you serve and cook it has made me try different kinds of fish thank you it’s time you had your Michelin star 🌟 you truly deserve some good luck to you both

We booked this private dining experience for my husband’s 40th birthday celebration. Our group of 16 all loved it. The food was delicious, the staff attentive and made the evening unforgettable. We would without a doubt visit again.

A totally superb experience in every way. Jack and Lucy are the consummate hosts and the food could not be faulted. They are very open with how they prepare and arrive at the menu choices and positively encourage honest feedback. I couldn’t fault the menu and devoured every course with delight. I can’t wait to go back.

Return visit. Just as good as the first night. Personal touches abound. Love the menu but the option to tweak items to personal perfection is welcome. A wonderful night, from start to finish. As much (or as little!) interaction with the owners as desired. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely magic experience. We visited this private dining restaurant in August and were totally blown away. The food was fantastic, the privacy was so special and we just loved the intimacy and quality of the place, food and experience. This really is so magical - a must try!

We had our wedding dinner for 16 at Dubberley Delicious and it was magnificent! Jack and Lucy met with us beforehand to discuss the menu- so many incredible choices. Communication was always seamless, Jack and Lucy were so friendly and professional. The restaurant itself is lovely and intimate. The food was absolutely delicious (I can’t stop thinking about the salmon we had!!! All the other dishes were spectacular as well!) and we would 100% recommend this place for anyone looking to host an intimate wedding dinner, special dinner or just to have dinner! It was perfect. My wife and I didn’t know about this place when we agreed to join friends for a birthday meal so it was a mind-blowing surprise to discover what lay in store for us. Absolutely first class food, beautiful surroundings and engaging, friendly, personal service from Jack. They’re the reasons this place has achieved and retained #1 restaurant status in Lichfield and I’m already forward to going back next year.

We booked for 12 people but one couple couldn’t make it so they rearranged the tables to make it more suited to a party of 10. The food and service were impeccable. The best two dishes seemed to be split between the monkfish and the wagu beef. Only one dish seemed to not have gone down that well which was the potato dish but maybe it stood out as all the other dishes were so good. Everyone agreed we would all go back again. Great venue.

I must admit I had wondered what to expect in terms of the mood and ambience given we were just 2 couples to celebrate our friends's 60th birthday. It really was an exceptional evening that just flew by and the 8 courses were presented with perfect timing in between each dish. We have all enjoyed many tasting menus in different places but Jack really did such a fantastic job that there was not one dish that you felt was a little bit less delicious. Personally I am not a huge fan of salmon but the Citrus cured salmon - teriyaki - beansprouts - cucumber - wild rice was something else. The flavour absolutely incredible but then every dish that we had was so fantastic. The Scallop - bacon - pea - sourdough was also incredible and so much chunkier than the scallops you buy from the likes of Waitrose. Jack sources his products locally and he pays a premium to ensure his seafood is delivered alive so the ultimate in terms of freshness. An excellent choice of drinks too. The service is impeccable and Jack is very engaging and clearly passionate about food which comes across with every dish he presents. Given the bespoke dining experience I am amazed that Jack does not automatically include a service charge as he certainly deserves it. Thank you Jack for giving us such an unforgettable experience and I cannot wait to visit in November to celebrate our son's 30th birthday.

We visited Dubberley's for the first time as part of a private party to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. It was easily one of the best dining experiences we have ever enjoyed. Every detail was considered and delivered to perfection. We had an utterly fantastic time. Jack and Lucy are a great team and the welcome and service throughout was exceptional. The ambience is great and the food sublime, the latter not only tasting superb but also looking elegant and sophisticated. I am concerned to be able to visit here as often as possible (in spite of the hour's drive each way for us) before the inevitable Michelin star follows and makes it even more difficult to book a table. A particularly lovely feature was to be able to see the food being plated up so close to where we were sitting. Although engaged in conversation with friends, I was able to keep sneaking a look at this, which was all part of the theatre of the delightful experience. Every course was an utter treat. It is tempting to filter out a favourite, but I can't because it was all so delicious - every last morsel. To sustain the taste buds with excitement and anticipation for every course is quite an achievement - and achieve it they did. I can't thank the restaurant enough. We are a week down the line after the visit and are still talking about it - to the extent that we leapt at the chance to go again with friends and have just booked our places for next time. What an amazing & unique experience! After making an initial booking online Jack contacted me by email to find out our group's main likes/dislikes & produced a perfect-sounding menu, It lived up to it! The courses were delicious, incredible flavours, beautifully presented, paired with great wines. Jack is not only a talented Chef but a lovely & interesting person too, the whole experience is one we won't forget. I can't wait for another special occasion to return :-). NB. We also had 1 Coeliac (gluten-free) in the group, the only substitution she needed was the crumpet, Jack had made a fresh GF sundried tomato bread for her, she said it was the best she had ever tasted.

This is our first visit to the new City Centre site and our second meal done by Jack. We went as 2 couples, 1 couple for the first time. We had the 8 Course options and simple WoW. Jack is so knowledgeable about what he does, he sources everything as local as possible which I love. He looked after my dietary requirements (Dairy Free) and he made the whole night amazing. A few pictures attached, the food looked too good to eat and tasted so nice you didn't want it to finish. Would recommend 100%

We visited Jack at Dubberley Delicious last night and the experience was incredible. A few weeks before our booking, Lucy reached out to help us personalise our menu for the night (which we were not expecting). We didn't have many preferences other than tasty and perhaps a fish dish and a couple of meet dishes. The restaurant is so cosy, warm and inviting and from the minute we walked in Jack made us feel welcome. We spoke to Jack throughout the night and he'd explain the dishes, ingredients and his inspiration. Couldn't recommend this place more, everything was perfect and we can't wait to go back!

A fascinating experience with chef Jack providing a personalised menu for the four of us at Lunch. Some engaging chat and fascinating viewing as chef produced a terrific set of meals. An unusual experience but definitely to be repeated and Keith booked for 16 for an event later in the year. Can't beat that for a recommendation and a great addition to the Lichfield dining scene.

Jack cooked dinner for 10 of us and it was absolutely stunning. He designed a seasonal and complex menu with a variety of different flavours and textures. The Orkney scallops, the monkfish, the wagyu beef were all prepared with skill and intricate accompanying flavoursome ingredients. Jack is a very personable young man with incredible culinary skill. I wish him all the best in his new premises and will visit him there soon. Thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely incredible, the food was amazing, the service second to none. Lovely intimate private dining experience. Booked to go again later in the year before we left. If this place doesn’t get a Michelin star I’ll be absolutely shocked. Fantastic experience

Second visit to this brilliant restaurant and our first visit to the new premises. It’s such a fantastic concept, and it works really well. We had 6 courses - all brilliant. The food is excellent and we had lovely wine pairings. Jack and Lucy are both really nice which gives the whole evening a friendly and welcoming vibe. Highly recommended. We were a group of 10 and everyone really enjoyed the evening.
