G&Tea in Worcester

Popped in on the off chance of space for 2. A pot of tea for 2, fresh cream currant scone and banana & biscoff cake. Omg, we are so glad we called in! The best scone ever! Fresh and light. My husband also enjoyed his cake. Only grumble: not enough cream with scone! Sorry to hear place is closing permanently. We've only just found it.

We had afternoon tea it was terrible the sandwiches were very skimmed on the thin slice of cucumber I've never seen it sliced so thin it was transparent limp as well the cream cheese there was hardly any on there the cheese and pickle the pickle a minute tiny bit I mean just a smear one end nothing on the other limp very limp salard the crisps were nice and the coronation chicken was very nice and the blueberry cake was lovely so was the brownie and we had a lemon biscuit that was nice scones were very dry but the jam was one of best I've tasted . Just let down by the sandwiches . We had a takeaway afternoon tea gifted as a mother's day present .

We had a lovely afternoon tea for 6 at G & Tea today. The staff were attentive and kind, the cakes and scones delicious and the price very reasonable indeed. Unprompted they made a fuss of our birthday girl that was greatly appreciated. We will definitely return!

Went for an afternoon festive tea my daughters birthday. It was spectacular, very tasty and beautifully presented. Beautif scones and imaginative festive cakes/ treats. Two of us are vegetarian and our option was exceedingly tasty. We had Christmas crackers, a choice of a hot drink and a jug of water. So much food we were able to take some home in a "doggy bag". Attentive, friendly helpful staff. Would highly recommend this tea shop and visit again.

On a chilly day my husband and I stopped by, hoping for soup and we hit the jackpot! A creamy vegetable soup that hit the spot. Instead of bread, we each got a half a sandwich which was a perfect amount. This tea shop is cozy, friendly and welcoming.

We went a few weeks ago for afternoon as we had a voucher to use. I found the booking process a bit difficult at the start as I emailed them online requesting the booking and had to chase it to get it sorted. They then emailed me back asking of any allergies etc and we asked for no cheese sandwiches but when we got the afternoon tea cheese sandwiches were on the plates. We did find the food really really good though, very nice and lots of it. Had to take some home! Would definitely recommend it. We will go back and try other items as they had a great list of food on the menu if you didn't want afternoon tea. Fantastic place & I would go give it a try!

My inlaws and I had a lovely time visiting G & Tea. The selection was really tasty, I managed to take a few bits home to my better half too. I just had English tea, which they refilled the pot for, but there was tons of choice. The place is very small so it did get a bit much when a large table arrived and the ladies began talking over each other to be heard (which is nothing to do with the cafe of course), but until then it was really pleasant.

Dropped in for afternoon tea with the family while visiting Worcestor for the day. We all had different types of food (sandwiches, cold and toasted, cream tea, salad, etc) and struggle to pick the best, they were all great. The range of tea on offer was, as implied by the name, excellent, and also all very good. Prices were very reasonable, and the service was excellent, with people taking time to tell stories to the kids in the group!

Dropped in for lunch after passing it earlier and seeing it looked welcoming, could fit the 7 of us, and would feed my (voracious but fussy) nephews well. They made us fresh coffee, proper leaf tea, and then some absolutely superb food (the savoury scone and the quiche especially). The service was excellent, the staff made time to engage with the kids as well as cater for everything the adults needed, despite being busy. The only "faults" were a surprisingly low bill, and getting food-envy of everyone who was able to stay as we left!

We picked Worcester to meet up with friends and looked on Tripadvisor for a suitable sandwich lunch stop. We LOVED this little independent cafe, with its old fashioned china. Between us all we had a posh ploughman’s, a toasted Brie and cranberry sandwich, homemade tomato soup and coronation chicken sandwich and it was all amazing. The tea is loose leaf and excellent. Lovely friendly staff all served in a homely atmosphere.

When my sister said she wanted a baby shower for a few friends at a cute venue with good food, I knew the best place to go in Worcester would be G&Tea! Laura was so helpful from my initial enquiry through booking and confirmation and on the day itself Emma was a star. We were able to put up a few decorations and put our own spin on things, which was so kind of them and helped make everything feel really special for my sister. We all ordered different food (sandwiches/afternoon tea) however everything was freshly made and completely delicious (we were given doggy bags to take leftovers home with!). Thank you G&Tea for such a great experience!

Called in to try afternoon tea. Staff friendly and helpful. Good coffee/tea. The sandwiches were excellent. The cakes very good. G&T is like stepping back in time to a bygone age. Lovely warm welcome from the staff, huge selection of loose leaf teas (and they do a great coffee too), and 'death by chocolate' cake a gooey slice of heaven!If its busy they have plenty more space upstairs.

We were on the way to Birmingham and decided to go via Worcester and what a lovely choice of tearoom we discovered. We both had poached eggs on granary toast - really cooked well and very tasty. Liked the mismatch lovely crockery and decor. Service was excellent by very friendly staff. Asked about the music playing and was told it was on G&Tea's Spotify compilation. Very kind e-mailed it to me.

A tearoom as a tearoom should be. Cute and quirky with mismatched tea sets and amazing home made treats. The banana, chocolate and walnut bread is delicious served warm, although the added honey is just what it needs for that oozy, gooey deliciousness. We were especially pleased to see that they offer a vegetarian ploughmans lunch as well as a meat eaters option, meaning a friend and I regularly frequent here. Tucked out the way it's just a perfect get away from the busy centre.

I brought my friends here when they were visiting Worcester. We had a few dietary requirements (gluten free and vegetarian) and our needs were catered for very well. The three of us had afternoon tea - my gluten free one was absolutely delicious. The bread was amazing - it tasted like no gluten free bread I have ever eaten, and I could hardly believe it was gluten free. The scone was also fab - I haven't had a scone in over a year and I will definitely be returning to have another.

Everything I have eaten here has been delicious, the cheese scones are heavenly. The staff are lovely and attentive.

My friend and I visited on a beautiful sunny Saturday in September, without a booking, and they were able to host us without feeling squished like sardines. We ordered the afternoon tea for two. My friend had an intolerance to one of the ingredients, they went above and beyond to cater to her needs! The food was beautiful, from delicate finger sandwiches to tasty scones. There was so much food, we even left with some cakes that we couldn't finish in a take away box. The decor inside is beautiful, really sets the scene. My friend and I stuck to tea with this visit, but we are very curious about trying the Gin Tea Pots! We are looking forward to returning. Thank you GandTea!

My friend and I were looking for a place to have lunch and quite by chance stumbled across this lovely vintage tea room. We had a warm welcome on arrival, were given a choice of where we wanted to sit. We chose the savoury scones menu which came on a three tier plate, with beetroot and other quirky crisps, salad, soft and hard cheese. Tea bread or it may have been bread pudding either way it was delicious. We asked for the homemade mushroom soup as an extra which was served in a teacup and was delicious. Reasonably priced, very happy with our new find and will definately return!

I had the pleasure of being treated to Afternoon Tea today and I can’t recommend it enough. Not only were the cakes and scones fresh and tasty, with some different flavours to the standard AT I’m used to, the stand out part was the sandwiches. Each variety tasted great, made with fresh ingredients, and not prepared until we were ready, even though we had pre-booked. I shall be coming back and bringing others too. Worth the trip from Leicestershire for sure. Thank you all.

I had afternoon tea at G and T with friends and it was perfect. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were delicious. We couldn’t eat it all so the staff gave us boxes to take some cakes home. The staff were warm and welcoming and the service was first class. I would definitely recommend G and T to anyone visiting Worcester. What a find.

Popped in for breakfast and was immediately won over by the window display of ladybird books and period biscuit tins.

G&T; put on a wonderful birthday tea for over 20 on a Sunday (they opened upstairs). It all worked beautifully with bubbles, tea and sandwiches and cakes. I was really pleased. The food, atmosphere and service were top class on a freezing cold day! (Apologies for the late review).

Just picked up a lovely Birthday Cake, couldn't be happier with it, I was even able to order this via email while on holiday, they were happy for me to customise the cake at minimal cost, great value for money compared to other quotes, I would highly recommend!

The cakes here are out of this world! Having tried the carrot cake and chocolate cake with an afternoon tea, we were absolutely blown away by how good they were and asked G&T; to make our wedding cake.....it was the most stunning 3 tier, semi naked cake with a chocolate and raspberry filling on one tier, lemon on another tier and earl grey with lavender on the top tier! Laura listened to exactly what we wanted and was able to offer suggestions to make things absolutely perfect. We have had so many compliments about how amazing it looked and tasted and just want to say a big thank you to Laura and the team at G&T;!

Popped in for coffee and a scone. I had a cheese scone with spinach, it was very nice but quite expensive £3.20 for a scone. Staff very pleasant. The parts that really matter were clean but a bit more dusting & cleaning would not go amiss in other parts (eg the record player area)

My mum and I visited whilst visiting Worcester. Was a lovely lunch we had a sausage sandwich which was very yummy! The bread was beautiful! We had a slice of chocolate cake which was lush! And we had two teapot gin cocktails- which was such a good idea to serve them in vintage teapots and cups and saucers. They tasted amazing! Would so recommend this to anyone in the area- seek this cafe out you won’t regret it!

Thought it about time we tried G&T; recently...and so glad that we did. The staff were excellent and the food was really good value for money. We had lunch and were too full for some of the amazing-looking cakes afterwards.

Delicious afternoon tea for a belated mothers day celebration with mom, dad and hubby. Gorgeous homemade cakes and warm scones too! Love the fact that nothing matched and served in real china cups, plates and tiered cake stands! None of these ‘modern’ ones.

My partner and I love an afternoon tea. And G&Tea; do an excellent one. The cakes which were served were beautiful. Sandwiches were very tasty. My only gripe was that when I ordered another coffee this was added to the bill at the end. In other places you get as much tea and coffee as you like with the afternoon tea. Will go back when in Worcester.

I opted for a sandwich and a coffee and this was of very good value and was very filling.

When on a short break in Worcestershire, we visited Worcester. We liked the 'olde worlde' back streets of Worcester where there is some beautiful old buildings. On one such street we found G&Tea.; It looked warm, welcoming and friendly, so we went in for a cuppa. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We’ve eaten at G&Tea; a fair few times now and each time it’s been just so lovely. So far we’ve sampled the pancakes, scones, sandwiches, sausage rolls (omg divine) and the bubble and squeak!

Myself and my family have been to G&Tea; numerous times and would highly recommend. Everything is handmade and you can tell as it tastes amazing. Can highly recommend the scones, sandwiches, cakes, and pancakes. Just some from the menu which is yet to be fully sampled.

Came here for afternoon tea and alcoholic cocktails on 16/02/19. The service was brilliant, the food excellent and the cocktails amazing! I couldn’t compliment this place enough. The finger sandwiches were so tasty and the cakes all home made and the scone still warm. The cocktails were very impressive and served in tea pots. What a fantastic venue in Worcester and will be back!! Had a massage at Infinity Beauty next door before, and this was superb too. A real lovely treat and day spend with my husband.
