The Lemon Tart in Worcester

Ive been going to the lemon tart since about 2019 it is honestly one of the best Cafés in Worcester and can recommend it to everyone the couple that run it are so lovely and make you feel welcome when you go in and I honestly go back every opportunity I get can recommend it to anybody, plus the food is amazing every time

I took my husband to the Lemon Tart for brunch today as I've had such positive experiences there before. It is a lovely family run little cafe right next to Ghelevult park. The decor inside is simple and clean and it's proximity right next to the park makes the idea of take away a great option. The food and coffee are very tasty, good portion sizes and well priced. The couple who run this cafe are very kind and friendly. Highly recommend.

Best place for breakfast in Worcester by far, lovley people too

Good food but service is very slow and not the most pleasant of environment when going to order for take away as had to wait for over 20mins for our order as chef seemed to only do one order at a time.

Stopped in after a long run on a Sunday morning and had a really lovely “Healthy Breakfast”. Hit the spot perfectly.

Always go in and the 2 that own it are lovely and friendly and nice food and drink as well

Each breakfast portion was undercooked and gave us all a terrible time on the toilet not long after consuming the meal. The ‘hot drink’ was mildly warm and not mixed right. I am so disappointed as I come here with my family on a regular basis.

A really friendly cafe with wonderful food. There were many regulars ordering 'take-aways'. With the quality that is here it's not surprising that they have so many loyal customers.

We had tasty food at a good price, and brilliant service (we were made very welcome). The place was spotlessly clean and comfy. There’s limited parking on the main road, but there’s space in the residential roads nearby. We will definitely go back to The Lemon Tree 🍋

A real little gem for lunch….something for all the family ranges from extensive breakfast menu, panini, baked potato, homemade soup, veggie meals, cakes and more. Right near Gheluvelt Park, Worcester. Great service from Janine who was lovely and genuinely interested in giving a good customer experience. Very clean surroundings and they also do takeaways. Will definitely return there.

I shall lead with a small statement: Quite probably the best breakfast I have EVER had! In my, *ahem*, 40-ish years on this planet I have had recourse to eat a breakfast or two in numerous locations across the length and breadth of the world of varying local (to me) and international varieties; some great, some good, some bad, some meh and some that I wish never entered my mouth. So it is without hyperbole that I state; The Lemon Tart has quite probably served me the best breakfast I have ever had the pleasure to eat - and this is said when it was a delivery order and not in their establishment. I'm surprised to write this! With all due respect, I did not expect this level of perfection in terms of quality and taste just about 2 miles from my doorstep! Everything was cooked to perfection (and I am very picky especially when it comes to bacon and eggs served as part (or separate) of an "English" breakfast). The scrambled eggs were epic (also ordered a fried egg which was cooked perfectly and runny but not too runny); the bacon and sausages were outstanding. The quality of the ingredients utilised is obvious and just takes the level of breakfast up a notch. Even the tomatoes and mushrooms, which I very rarely eat with breakfast, were tasty and cooked perfectly. I even have to give the toast a mention as the bread was high quality, was toasted to perfection (again I'm a picky sod with this) and buttered perfectly (not too much not too little). I cannot wait to visit in person as I expect it will take the experience to another level. Outstanding experience and cannot recommend highly enough.

Popped in for a quick coffee after a dog walk. Lovely coffee with very tasty cake at an excellent price. Lovely service from a friendly waitress bought our dogs fresh water without us having to ask. Will definitely return.

Walked from Worcester through the race course and Gheluvelt Park to The Lemon Tart, about a mile and a half just about right to build up an appetite for a coffee and a snack. Lucky to get a table as it's a not big in size. Warm friendly welcome. Had proper tea pots coffee and a mixture of cakes and breakfeast style choices all of which were good. Locals obviously love his place as take away was going a storm! Would recommend arriving off peak times to get a table or getting take away and returning to the park with take away.. Happy Days :) Would definitely return.

I popped in for breakfast today. After a couple of loops past I managed to park in the layby outside. A friendly welcome from staff and other customers. Good coffee and a nice bacon and egg sandwich freshly and quickly cooked.

If your fed up of overpriced, pretentious breakfasts, this place is a must try! Delicious home cooked food, great value for money and run by a lovely couple. One of our faves, you won’t be disappointed! (Although we might if they don’t have a table!)

I am 9 and this is the BEST breakfast place in Worcester. I come here all the time with my family.I always have pancakes with bacon,maple syrup and peanut butter. It is some of the BEST food I’ve ever had. The owners are really kind and always helpful. I absolutely LOVE this place!!!!🥞

I have many breakfast from here and they are always amazing fresh and hot and great quality. It's always a nice treat and even better when it's delivered to your door.

Oh my, the BEST vegetarian breakfast in the UK in my opinion, I haven't been in since pre lockdown sadly, work etc but I cannot recommend them highly enough, an absolute treasure of a cafe 🧡

It was the only choice likely ,but I was happily surprised at its quality.

Absolutely delicious food. My husband had the double full english breakfast (yummy black puddings) and I had the coronation chicken sandwich which was well-seasoned and generous in portion.

We ordered a biscoff waffle delivery to arrive the morning of my sibling's birthday and the Lemon Tart very kindly wrote a happy birthday message from us. It was above and beyond and really made the gesture of buying them a birthday breakfast that bit sweeter!! Incredible customer service and the waffles look beautiful (I'm sad I'm not in Worcester!)

Was visiting my son and we ordered breakfast from here via Just eat.We both had sausage bacon & egg ciabatta with extra hash brown & black pudding. Delivered very quickly Looked really tasty and fully delivered on flavour-all good, particularly the sausages

Brilliant little community cafe! In need of coffee and the loo it was recommended to us and what a find. Spotlessly clean and my son voted his hot chocolate,'the best!' My capuchino was fabulous and no question of large or small, I've had soup in a smaller bowl!The aroma of cooking was absent for such a small area,until it was served. Lovely people and they should be proud of giving the community such a great service.

Had a lovely lunch from here today, polite lady inside served me and I enjoyed my food out in the park just down the road. Highly recommend. 👌

I've bought a couple of sandwiches etc from this great cafe and the food is always great and the service friendly. I just wish they would put take away food in a cardboard box or just a paper bag rather than a polystyrene box - so bad for the environment as it takes years to decompose.

This is a little jem of a place. Great food, friendly welcome and super service. It’s become our choice for Saturday morning breakfast and never disappoints.

You can really tell the difference in quality at The Lemon Tart in terms of fresh, local ingredients, attention to detail and spot on service. Delicious and very reasonably priced.

Brilliant made to order bread - the best we have found in Worcester by far!

Visited this morning with a small group of friends, despite a Saturday morning rush my food was made quickly and service was polite and helpful :) I had a Sausage Egg & Hash brown ciabatta and it hit the spot nicely.

How many cafes are open on a Sunday 9am til 3pm, as well as Wednesday to Saturday? For takeaways only during Covid. This gem of a little cafe is ideally situated next door to Gheluvelt Park in Worcester and an excellent place to pick up food & drinks to enjoy for a picnic in the park. They do all day breakfasts, full Sunday lunch (preferably preorder or take your chance there will be some left!) & hot pork & stuffing rolls (from 11.30am), freshly made sandwiches, ice cream cones, waffles & pancakes and more. I only found this great cafe on Sunday 14th September, when my daughter & I, with baby grandson in tow, were heading for a walk in the park on this hot day. Fancying a cold drink and something to eat picnicing in the park, we stopped here and were so glad we did. The couple running this cafe are lovely people and gave us a very warm welcome. Their young son was playing in the cafe and they served us over a small table set in the doorway, as the cafe is too small given social distancing limitations, hence takeaways only at this time. I wish them every success during this difficult period. We both ordered a homemade Elderflower Sparkle soft drink, made with elderflower, lemon and sparkling water, which came in generously sized cups with domed lids, filled to the very brim with added ice & a slice too. I ordered a hot pork & stuffing roll, while my daughter was tempted into trying a roast beef Sunday lunch. She was lucky enough to get one, as their Sunday lunches are very popular and it is usually wise to preorder yours in advance rather than face disappointment. After a nice chat while waiting a short while for our order, we received a bag with the food all wrapped in foil, with paper napkins & plastic cutlery supplied and the drink cups in a cardboard holder. People came for ice cream cones while we were waiting. Off we went into the park to find a shadey spot for our picnic. My daughter's roast beef lunch was hot and a generous helping, served in a foil tray with Yorkshire puds in a bag and gravy in a tub. She thoroughly enjoyed her meal. My hot pork & stuffing roll was a good size and filled with no fewer than four slices of pork and a generous helping of stuffing. Apple sauce and gravy had been offered but I didn't want them. I very much enjoyed this roll, while looking enviously at my daughter's full Sunday lunch. The ice cold Elderflower Sparkle drinks were really great and refreshing on this hot day. Prices were very reasonable. Finding this lovely little cafe run by this very welcoming couple is a great find and we will be back again. Ideal for refreshments to take into the park or home. We will have to try their waffles and pancakes too! Thoroughly recommended!!!

Had a breakfast before the lockdown and it was very nice. Bacon sandwich was something to crave for. They were shut for a while, but don't know if they are open again

Lovely cafe and food. Had a great Sunday lunch delivered to our door. Was delicious and really good value for money. Gluten free catered for no problem and they accommodated our younger children by doing smaller portions too. Highly recommended.

Lovely coffee and a fabulous lemon tart. Home cooked food at its best

Me and my wife have been coming to the lemon tart regularly with our young son theo after going round the park since they first opened. As a head chef myself of ten years I can say with absolute confidence that the food is outstanding. Having eaten here many times I have tasted practically the whole menu and couldn't find fault with a single thing or in fact do any better myself. What makes the lemon tart stand out for me the most however is the atmosphere. Janine and Aaron are two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet and from the second you walk through the door the feeling that hits you is warmth and family love. Janine always greets you with a smile and often comes to take your order with her beautiful son alexander on her hip. He even has a fixed high chair built for him by his dad aaron in the restaurant and often sits there surveying the customers and offering a cheeky grin to anyone who needs some cheering up. This is a rare hidden gem in Worcester and I couldn't recomend it any higher you will not find a nicer place to eat and i would like to take this opportunity to say thanks personally for all the wonderful times we have spent there. For me and my family the lemon tart has become a refuge in a way, a place to escape for an hour and just relax. We love it. Keep it up guys because in my opinion you are doing everything perfectly.

What a lovely little café/ restaurant! Very happy to have found this. Independent, stone’s throw away from Ghelevult Park, very handy as dog friendly. Basic menu, food made with very good quality ingredients, very decent prices. I am not keen on chips normally, but the chips I had with my sandwich were gorgeous. Good coffee too. Would recommend, let’s support the independent places!

We went along to this lovely little place for one of their themed food nights so it was Italian. My friend Jean is Italian. It was such wonderful food, lovely ambiance with the background music. We'll definitely be back for more.

Very nice and great value for your money great menu

Popped in yesterday on my way past as I fancied a sandwich. I ordered a pesto, hummus and roast red pepper ciabatta to take away which was £5. Thought that was slightly steep until I realised that included a side salad and chips. The ciabatta was really well made, simple ingredients put together with perfect ratios, nice dressing on the salad and really nice crispy chips that were seasoned properly. Really good food, really good price, really friendly service..... will be visiting again!

Beautiful sandwiches as ever! Every week I buy a sandwich to take out while on my break, this week I found time to sit down inside. Delivery and quality is spot on as always and there are little perks when eating in such as glasses for bottled drinks, ramekin/jam jar for sauces. Overall a pleasant breather from a busy day, I'd recommend to anyone as I do anyway!

Met my mum here for lunch recently. Delicious freshly made food at a fraction of the price you'd pay in the city centre, and probably much better quality. We will definitely be back soon, you can feel the care they have for their business.

We recently had a garden party with 26 of neighbours and friends. I didn’t fancy spending time with all the preparations so we asked Aaron and Janine to provide the catering. We are now the talk of the street. To a man, every guest commented on the quality of the food. The sandwiches were stunning and the quiches and chicken strips were as good as we have had before. The food was ready at the time requested and took all the pressure off my wife and I since all we needed to do was set out the trays and invite our guests to tuck in. We will definitely do this again. Every town needs places like this so consider them next time you need to cater for more than usual. They easily deserve 10/10 Thank you

Best breakfast I've had in a long, long time. As an ex chef who has worked all over the world, it was great to finally see an independent producing great looking and tasty food. I'll definitely be back for one of your Caesar salads. The one placed in front of the customer on the next table looked absolutely fantastic! Great job thank you. Clearly Aarron Samuel must have been somewhere else or doesn't like someone at Lemon Tart, because what I had was FAB and every dish that came out of the kitchen looked amazing too. Much better than the tosh most English pubs serve and charge double for!

Had an excellent Bacon Roll and a superb Cappuccino this morning. Independent and proud, and great value for money, £5 for the two! Will be back!

We go to the lemon tart for our Sunday lunch ever week the food is fabulous and Jeanine and Aaron are so friendly we took our family over from Ireland on Sunday for lunch and they really enjoyed it .

I love it here. The family vibe is strong, and it lends itself to the atmosphere. The whole place has a cutesy feeling, with a lot of love poured into it. The food, from what I've tasted, is splendid. They offer takeout pickup, Sunday dinner, freshly baked bread (which you can order a day beforehand for pickup), jacket potatoes, lunch sandwiches - all sorts. It's one of my favourite places to go to whenever I have money to spare.

Rly lovely place with amazing price value! Had this lovely pumpkin spice cappuccino with real chocolate on top! Will see you soon again!

Great food, all freshly made. The bread, the fillings, the lot. Even things like chicken bites (that you'd expect to be frozen from a budget supermarket) are home made and delicious. Take away sandwich/buns are great and come with chips and salad, great. I was expecting an average sandwich shop, this is way above average. Also, lovely people.

We got takeaway lunch and the food was superb at a great price! I had avocado, poached eggs and tomato on sourdough bread - fantastic! And my husband had the CBLT sandwich, which included chips. Highly recommend this cafe.

This is a super little cafe by the park serving a variety of lunches, snacks and cakes all freshly made on the premises, even the bread is baked daily. The elderflower cordial is fabulous especially in this hot weather and the cakes are scrumptious! Sunday lunch is just like my mum used to make. The owners are very friendly and the service is quick. To top it all, the prices are very reasonable. We've returned many times.

Very polite and great service but very disappointed with the food quantity for the price. One sausage one small bacon half a black pudding one spoon of beans and a greasy pouch egg.

Treated myself with this little beauty today and the most amazing egg Benedict - never had a fancy dish like that in a cafe! Strongly recommended!

Best bacon and sausage bap in Worcester!

This is a lovely little cafe, with friendly staff and always fresh flowers on the table. It’s very welcoming and the food is absolutely delicious. I try to take my son here once a week we normally just get a cup of tea and a cake or some donughts but we tried something a bit different this week and the food was well presented and tasty! Highly recommend this cafe.
