Lunch was amazing. Dealt well with a big group and food was delicious. Sweet potato gnocchi with curried sweetcorn and kale was transcendentally good! Strongly recommend.

Every morsel was delicious. This is our 2nd visit to Riverford and it didn’t disappoint. Even the most humble of vegetables are lifted to new heights of tastiness. We loved every plate, just soooo good.

Staying on a campsite nearby and called in for evening meal. A really nice friendly vibe and obviously a lot of locals using it. Dog friendly. The food was really excellent. Fantastic menu - not just your bog standard pub grub. I had the Monkfish Goan curry and a pear and apple crumble. It’s not the cheapest but I’d rather pay a little more for genuinely quality food. Definitely recommend

Visited on a quiet Thursday afternoon after swimming locally. Super friendly staff, amazing fluffy scones and quality local clotted cream. We'd be here every day if we were locals!

Dropped by on recommendation after a long walk with the dogs at nearby Hembury Woods Beautiful location, overlooking the stunning Devon countryside, with a good size car park Really good lunch and main menu offering a good selection of homemade dishes Would definitely recommend the fish pie, stuffed full with cod, salmon and prawns in a delicious creamy sauce, with a cheesy mash top, one of the best I’ve ever tasted The ham, eggs and chips were knockout also, the ham being cooked to perfection on the premises, and served with proper chips, a couple of perfectly cooked eggs and garden peas, all decent sized portions Have found ourselves a new favourite for lunch, looking forward to our next visit already

The nursery looks lovely. This review is for the tea room. I have never left a bad review before but one of the staff members here was so unfriendly and unwelcoming that I felt compelled to do so. We would not return for this reason.
