A cracking Sunday (Mothers day ) lunch with family. I went for the roast beef and I wasn't disappointed, really good quality meat and fabulous yorkshires and veg. I was too full for a pudding unfortunately! Looking forward to returning for breakfast once the weather improves! Only downside was it was very noisy in the so difficult to have a conversation over the table. Not sure whether that was the acoustics, the number of people in there (it was busy) or a bit of both.

The lady on reception was so nice, we were only there for coffee and a brandy š„ before a look around the Market .But our visit to this hotel made us decide to come back again for lunch and maybe more. A fine hotel in Cirencester. Thoroughly recommend

We visited for lunch with a friend. Pub looks very homely with a roaring log fire in the middle of a lovely village! Don't let this deceive you (like it did me). Food is overpriced and very very average. Ā£10 for a couple of bacon slices tucked inside granary bread with some limp lettuce is an outrage. What's more outrageous though is that when you go to pay they AUTOMATICALLY add a 10% service charge to the bill for both the dank sandwiches and the drinks! In restaurants I've seen a service charge added but I've NEVER been ripped off with an underhand service charge by a barmaid in a pub before! Service charge .... 10% Service charge .... All that was missing was any form of service. This place is a total rip off - their food is not even average and they are totally underhand in their pricing .... I didn't realise I'd been robbed until I got home .... I won't be visiting again ... I will warn every one I can about this disgraceful place. Don't go - they don't deserve your custom .... and if you do go .... Don't get robbed (like I was)

Our first visit here while on a little lake holiday. Beautifully decorated country style pub. We were seated in the upstairs area which was spacious and decorated tastefully in a winter & Halloween theme. All staff who welcomed and served us were warm, friendly & helpful. Talking us through childrenās menu options, specials and offers. A little dog mattress & cup of treats was brought out for our pup. So thoughtful!!! Food was delicious and very generous portion sizes. We had prawn & chicken starters, pie and mash, tapas plates, chicken curry and a brownie for dessert. Irish coffees were lush too. Every aspect of their service was excellent and we wish this was our local.
