Rapidly sorted us out with a table for 7, children & adults were all impressed with the really good food. One of the best currys I've had - definitely recommend.

Great curry and brilliant service well worth a visit

Great place In a Cotswold village. Very fussy about my curry's, and the Crown is always fantastic. Prices are amazing and staff always make you welcome. Always at the top of the list for a meal out.

Nothing was too much trouble. Friendly staff, imaginative menu and great atmosphere. Whist on our 25th wedding anniversary break in the Cotswolds we booked a table at The Crown Inn we were so impressed we booked again 2 nights later.

Excellent food, friendly, timely service. Unfortunately the booking was made for a family Sunday roast as advertised on the hoarding at the Cirencester Road/Cerney Wick Lane junction...Beer Garden, Dog Friendly, Sunday Roast. The waiter confirmed this was not an option on any sunday. So 4 points for the meal and 1 deducted for the disappointment. Would definitely eat there again and would recommend but next time will know what to expect.

Stopped off at what we thought was a country pub found it was an Indian resteruant. Amazing food and great service.

Very busy which can only be a good sign! The staff were great, really friendly even though they were clearly spinning plates, our table was delayed because of a big party bookin but the staff sorted it. The food was gorgeous, if you can't get a table get a takeaway! Fresh, hot, tasty, so much choice and a good price. A really great bustling atmosphere, really recommend.

This was our first visit but certainly won't be our last. The food was excellent, the service warm and friendly and atmosphere warm and welcoming. Well Done the Team.

Great pub with great curry for the perfect British dishes

Booked a few days in advance based on recommendations. Table of 4, so not a big group. Drinks took ages, but the barman said he had added a bit extra due to the wait. Waited an hour and half for food to arrive and 2 of the 4 meals were wrong and naan was basically raw. No one had been back for further drinks order in that time either. One replacement meal came back in around 3minutes and was clearly something thrown together in a rush. Watery and flavourless. At that point we decided to leave so I asked for the bill to pay for drinks and we were being charged for doubles, but only ordered singles. The chef came out and apologized but said it was because they were so busy, if we had come on another night our experience would have been different. Having worked in the industry, that's a very poor excuse from a chef. If you can't provide a consistently good level of service, then don't over commit on bookings! We have no issue waiting for good food, but this was a joke!!

Food was great, dogs were welcome.. recommend booking, we went on Wednesday evening and it was busy.. definitely will visit again..

When we stumbled across this country pub on our first night in the area, the car park was full and didn’t know if we’d get a table. Even though they were fully booked, they sorted out a table in the bar for our family of 3 to eat, which we were so grateful for. Then when we saw the menu, to our delight there was a mix of English and Asian food. We eat out a lot and this was hands down THE best Indian food we’ve eaten, so much so our young son now loves Indian food. The service was also top class. Highly recommend you book in if you’re in the area.

Had a lovely meal at The Crown tonight for the last night of our holiday. Glad we booked a table as it was busy, even on a Thursday night. Service was great, staff were very friendly. There was a problem with our bill, some drinks had accidentally been added on that weren't ours but that was sorted out no problem. The food was all lovely. We sat in the bar as we had our dog with us. Atmosphere was good on the whole although we were a bit annoyed by one local in there with a German Shepherd dog called Suki who let his dog run around without really paying attention to what she was doing. His friend looked out for her more than the owner did. Suki wandered over to our table 3 or 4 times once she spotted our dog hiding under the table which was very annoying. Our dog was just lying in a corner under the table out of the way, but she can be nervous because she's a rescue dog, so we were having to closely to monitor the situation every time Suki came over which ruined the meal slightly. Apart from that though it was a great meal and a lovely way to end our holiday. I'm glad we found this place! Would definitely recommend!

Wonderfully different fusion of an old pub with an Indian twist. Well definitely be back .

Absolutely amazing place, we called in on our way back from London and was not disappointed. On entering we were greeted by the staff and made welcome straight away. They led us to a table and as there was only two of us was going to sit at a smaller table. The host suggest a bigger table as the portion sizes are bigger than we would think. We sat down and looked at the menu and there was so much choice and it all looked amazing. It was suggested that we go for the smaller plates to share and we thought that was a great idea and picked three each to share. When we ordered the waiter again told us that the food is quite large but we still went a head and ordered the 6 dishes. The food came quick and looked amazing, the presentation was top notch and I must admit we looked at eachother and said we have ordered to much. The pictures do not do this food justice as every bite was full of flavour! This place is a must visit location and if we are back down south we will definitely be calling in again.

We stopped here while on holiday in late June. We initially chose it for its convenient location, after a long day of traveling. But we enjoyed it so much we went out of our way to return the next night to explore more of the menu. Great atmosphere, prompt friendly service, outstanding food, nearby walking trails, and a nice outdoor seating area. Absolutely worth a visit.

We stumbled across this amazing place by chance and are so glad we did . It’s so clever ! A pub that you can relax with a drink indoors or in the lovely garden but you can also order food including the most delicious Anglo Indian fusion food . The experience was incredible. The food is delicious and authentic. We consider ourselves fussy and have eaten in many restaurants selling Indian food including London . This restaurant has by far surpassed our expectations. All the food was absolutely delicious and so beautifully presented and full of flavour and spice . We ate there on two consecutive days. However this experience goes further. There is a family that run this wonderful establishment and they are so truly welcoming and friendly. Foyez is so personable and made us feel very much welcome . His conversation and humour made a simple meal out into a wonderful and memorable night out . All of the staff were so lovely and polite . There is a lovely vibe here. We can’t recommend this lovely place more highly. If you are looking for high quality, tasty food in a wonderful location with amazing, welcoming staff look no further. Love Maria and Paul ( Essex )

We booked a table as we were staying at the De Vere water park hotel which is a 5 minute drive away, the staff were friendly and we had good service, the food was lovely I had a jugulu chicken curry which I had never heard of before it was really tasty, my husband had a Rogan josh which he said waa nice but he wishes he had asked for it to be aittle more spicy but he ate it all as he said it was still nice. Would definitely go again if we come back again to stay in the Cotswolds.

We were in the area on a family holiday and found this amazing dog friendly Indian restaurant/pub by chance while out for a dog walk. We had a chat with the owner while we got a drink and looked at the menu, we asked if he could make a Balti as it wasn’t on the menu which he said was not a problem, so we decided to go back the next night for a meal. The Balti was the best we have ever had (without exaggeration) others in our party of 5 had other dishes and were also equally impressed with the quality and taste of the food. The cost was reasonable and the staff were brilliant. The only issue is we live so far away, but will definitely be going back when we are next in the area. If you are in the area this is a place you must visit if you like curry.

The Crown is a gem tucked into the Cotswold Water Park region. Spacious seating, excellent service, and delicious food were all highlights of our meal. The presentation of the food was on bar with much higher price tiers of restaurant and far from the pub standard. The Crown is a must-visit for those visiting the area and locals alike.

Lovely place, decor was on point and the food was delicious. The staff was polite, considerate and very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, drink and atmosphere. It was lovely to hear staff engaging with customers and having a laugh.

We were staying in an air bnb local to this pub - and we were thrilled with the food, the service and the hospitality of the owners here. Will definitely re visit. We even ordered food to take home with us the next day.

Decided to make the most of the weather and walk with the dogs from Cricklade. We managed to sit outside which was lovely. The service was a bit slow but the food was more than worth it! Fabulous flavour and presentation. Can't wait to walk up more to try some more dishes!

We enjoyed a fantastic Easter Sunday afternoon meal here. The location and venue are ideal. The manager and staff were warm and welcoming, making us feel very much at home. The service was ideally paced being unhurried and accomodating. The food was exceptional, perfectly spiced and presented with a fine attention to detail. I would strongly recommend this restaurant and look forward to our next visit.

My husband used to come to this pub 60 years ago when he came from Swindon with his father to fish the nearby river. They were able to buy a fishing permit for the day in the pub. Today, we returned for his 75th birthday. Obviously, the pub looks a bit different from how it looked 60 years ago but it has been very sympathetically renovated and extended and is decorated in a pleasing style. The food was lovely. We are both very fond of Indian food and each enjoyed a 3 course meal. The dishes were not heavy or too much, as can be the case. It is not often that we eat 3 courses these days. We will definitely be returning. We had booked our table in advance. Given the review before mine, it seems a good idea to book for the evening, especially with a large party. Booking online is easy.

Great find - such good Indian food which was a surprise for a pub in this area. I grew up in Durban and used to amazing indian food so good job to all !

The management, notably the restaurant manager Foyez Rahman, fell significantly short of expectations during our lunch visit today with a party of 10, including children. We experienced an unparalleled level of hostility. The restaurant managers approach was extremely rude, demeaning, and condescending. Upon merely inquiring about the availability for dining and space, he curtly informed us that the restaurant was at capacity and demanded that we 'Go home.' His conduct took a more troubling turn when he inappropriately touched my shoulder, emphasizing that the restaurant was fully booked.His persistent demands and inappropriate behavior were both shocking and completely out of line, reflecting a blatant disregard for the fundamental aspects of hospitality, which is rooted in respecting and prioritizing customers.

This is the best Indian food you will ever eat… it’s delicious! The service is first class, all the staff are amazing and so friendly! Make you feel very welcome… the food is outstanding.. cannot fault in any way.. this is our new ‘go to’ place… the traditional pub feel with something very special! don’t think we’ll eat authentic Indian food anywhere else again.. simply amazing… I’d recommend it here for everyone… first class in every way… thank goodness we found it so soon after we moved this way.

Staff are really friendly and quick. The building is lovely and the food was fantastic! We had a lamb naga and the birthday suit with all sundries and extras. It was so full of flavour and didn't break the bank. Will definitely eat here again.

We had such a fabulous evening at the Crown Inn. The staff were so welcoming & very happy to make sure we had exactly what we wanted, nothing was too much trouble. The food was freshly cooked to order & was outstanding! Some of the best tasting & most interesting Indian food we’ve had. Excellent value for money too!! Can’t recommend highly enough.

Went here for a Birthday treat for my Partner and what a nice find, we was looking for a Indian restaurant in the Cotswold water park area and found this Inn which served Indian fare and we were not disappointed the food was Excellent and the Staff was very friendly and helpful, reasonably priced and went the extra mile to accommodate my Partners Tomato allergy by cooking her Korma from scratch without the Tomato base. There was a nice ambience about the place and we had a very pleasant evening. Thank you.

We had an amazing meal here last night. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming - there was a slight mix up with one of our mains but they resolved it quickly and could not have been any more apologetic. The food was fantastic and although it was quiet when we arrived, it was really busy with a brilliant atmosphere. We’re staying nearby on holiday and are just disappointed we don’t live closer as we’d definitely become regulars! Would highly recommend and will definitely return when we’re in the area again.

Booked for the Valentines menu. Welcome glass of Prosecco, popadoms, then a choice of the veg or non veg menu taster dishes, we chose the non veg and thoroughly enjoyed every dish, followed up with a dessert for two 🥰❤️. We were given a scratch card live token which we unveiled at the end of our meal … only to find that it was a free meal token for both our meals. A lovely meal with a wonderful surprise at the end. Other scratch card tokens had also been handed to all guests, for free bottle of wine, 10% off, etc.

Staying in the area for a course and seen the menu online, great selection of food. When arrived at the crown; had a great atmosphere, the staff were friendly and chatty. The food is beautiful! Well presented and a great selection excellent value for money and highly recommend! Will definitely be back again when next in the area.

A hidden gem. Dog Friendly. An outstanding restaurant with an eclectic Anglo-Indian menu (something for everyone) and a well stocked and comfortable bar area. Well spaced outdoor seating and good size car park.

All round excellence. Arrived at 6.45 for a 7pm booking expecting to find it quiet but wow! It was absolutely buzzing with a happy vibe. So glad we booked because by 7.30 it was packed with barely a table free. The staff were amazing with advice offered on what to choose from a refreshingly different menu of Anglo Asian fusion as well as traditional Asian dishes. I had a delicious lamb and potato curry which was perfectly spiced for me. My wife had a wonderful salmon / salad dish which was cooked to perfection. Prices were very reasonable and drinks choices plentiful. Nice and local and our new favourite place. See you soon as we’re intrigued to try your take on Sunday lunch.

Wow, what an amazing pub. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff are incredible. I came with family on a Friday night, we had so much fun. Ollie was working behind the bar and she was so welcoming and made us some excellent choices of shots at the end of the meal. Foyez took our orders and was making us laugh for our entire visit. Foyez was so friendly and chatty and really took the time to make us feel welcome and made our visit so memorable. He was so funny and we were all chuckling the whole way home at how funny he was. To top it off, the food was SO good. There were 7 of us and between us we had lots of different dishes, they were all so tasty and beautifully presented. We can’t wait to come back and Foyez has said he’d talk to his uncle (the chef) about making us a goat curry for our next visit. Thank you so much for an amazing visit, hands down the best pub I’ve been too.

A really good curry here. Made with fresh ingredients and none of that horrible pink colouring. We were a group of 20 and the staff managed that we'll. Will definitely go again.

We arrived in good time for our table so sat on the sofa in front of the fire for a pre dinner drink. We were a party of five, and a lovely big round wooden table had been laid for us. The menu is extensive, with some less usual dishes as well those you might expect. All the food was delicious, and the beer (I was drinking Proper Job) was fresh tasting and went down very well with the Indian food. We left very happy after a wonderful meal.

Well what a great suprise , the nicest food in a while. Great Anglo Indian fusion restaurant that I would recommend visiting . The korma sutra was just Devine slight hint of heat which was perfect , West Indian curried chicken my partner had was delicious . Great cocktails too . A great find , I recommend a visit for sure

Came here for a birthday meal with family. The food was great. The combination of Indian flavours with other cuisines is a great idea. The ‘small plates’ were a massive hit with our group as were the currys and the tacos. The staff who worked there were brilliant fun. They were chatty and we had a great laugh with them through our evening. They really looked after us and made it much more than just a lovely meal.

Brilliant new year party ! We stayed in Cirencester for 3 nights leading up to New year. I phoned the pub ahead of time who reserved our tickets as we don’t live locally. There was a great atmosphere without over crowding. We joined locals and visitors welcoming in 2024, and had an amazing time. Thank you to the team that made the evening fun and so well managed! We will be back!

A friend and I visited The Crown last night, and I have so say we were super impressed. The food (we went Indian), was piping hot and super tasty and service from Ellie and the owner was really welcoming and friendly. We will absolutely go back and look forward to revisiting this little gem of a find. Very highly recommended!
