The best restaurants serving British food in St Mewan Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Great bar. Cosy inside in winter, great beer garden for the summer.

Too bad we only found this restaurant the last night we stayed nearby.

Attended with a group of a dozen friends on a mud-week evening. Good food, good beer (Proper Job), reasonable prices, friendly service and a great way to spend an evening

Found by accident after a walk on nearby Holywell Bay, and stopped for lunch. Lovely old pub interior and met with a friendly welcome. I had the venison pie from the specials board, and it was very tasty. Quick, friendly service and tasty food. Will remember it next time we are down in Cornwall.

I was disappointed with my visit to Griggs restaurant. I arrived an hour a twenty minutes before closing but the staff were already in full closing, clean up mode which made the atmosphere feel rushed and uncomfortable. On top of that the first thing we were told was that there was twenty minutes until the kitchen closed, which was fine, I was only wanting tea and cake but to be reminded again at the till that I had just over and hour to eat/ drink as the staff had commitments and places they had to be, even though I had plenty of time to enjoy my tea before closing detracted from the experience. I understand staff need to prepare for closing , but it would have been nice to feel welcomed and not like my presence was an inconvenience. My advice for visiting Griggs, Go early !

Eat at the white pyramid on a very regular basis with family and friends. Lovely staff, great service.and gorgeous food, always hot and very tasty. Recommend to anyone

Very friendly staff and lovely food. We had the lamb roast dinner. Would definitely go back as the place at a great vibe.
