The best restaurants serving British food in Hayle North Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

We visited the Madhatters's tea garden (dog welcomed) a lovely secluded spot. The cream tea was delightful the scones warm and buttery and the clotted cream and jam gorgeous. The tea came with beautiful cups and saucers and a good pot of tea. The service from the waitress was very friendly and prices very reasonable. Will be returning 😋😋

Not really sure were to start. The worst fish I’ve ever had it was like chewing on a well done steak. Chips were rock hard. I used to go to this chip shop all the time then unfortunately it got taken over. This is the first time I’ve been back I will never be going there again they didn’t even offer any customers salt and vinegar complete joke. Still trying to get the cod out of my teeth.

Fantastic place. Great food and the nicest, friendliest and most helpful staff we’ve come across in a long time. I had Duckies rarebit with salad and proper homemade coleslaw. Delicious. Hubby had a mushroom omelette and a side of beans, equally delicious. Banana milkshake for hubby and a mango fruit smoothie for me. I would highly recommend Duckies, will be back again next time we visit Hayle.

all positive here! there are copious choices on the menu which is always great to see. the food is also tasty and quite clearly made freshly. i'm in love with the interior as it is very spacious & there are plenty of tables and chairs. the staff are super polite and friendly so we are really grateful for that☺️

Had several meals here. Basic food, not too expensive. And the views of the bay are incredible. From watching the surfers and seals we had a great time and were never rushed.

The service afforded to us was awful. We waited for more than 5 minutes at the 'front desk' before being shown to our reserved table. When we answered "Yes" to a question about allergies, a file was dumped on our table and the member of staff walked off! After 30 minutes of being ignored, we left our table without eating or drinking and cancelled our reservation. We explained why and were told that we had to order at the bar! I politely (and quietly) asked why they did not tell us this when we arrived and reserved an unapologetic response of "Don't shout at me!" which of course I hadn't. We won't be returning under any circumstances.
