The best restaurants serving British food in Old Windsor Windsor and Maidenhead South East

Having given up on the disaster that is the Windsor Farm Cafe, I was desperate for somewhere to get a decent brunch. This place is lovely. Spotlessly clean, including the very important loos, really delightful staff and excellent food. I had great coffee and a sausage baguette which would have fed two. (I ate the whole thing.) So, if you want a proper cafe, not an overpriced tourist trap with stale food, this is it. Highly recommended. I told one of the staff I'd leave a review, and bless her, she said never mind that, just come back! I'll absolutely do that.

VISITED TODAY WITH MY DAUGHTER FOR AFTERNOON TEA. THE FOOD WAS FRESHLY PREPARED AND PRESENTATION WAS PERFECT WITH CAKES TO DIE FOR 😋 HAVE VISITED ROAST FOR SUNDAY LUNCH QUITE OFTEN BUT WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK FOR AFTERNOON TEA. I ALSO HAVE TO MENTION THE EXCELLENT STAFF, ALWAYS SO FRIENDLY AND CHEERFUL. THANK A LOT FOR THE ATTENTION AND SERVICE YOU GIVE TO DINERS.

Called in today by chance, lovely friendly staff and brilliant food. My husband had the beef and haggis cottage pie, made his day. We will be back.

The food was excellent and the menu interesting. We were very well served by Sebi our waiter, who was helpful and very professional.

The Union Inn Old Windsor is a proper old fashioned pub with a good selection of drinks & a restaurant & has guest rooms upstairs. Food menu is English & large portions

This local pub has just re-opened and the new management is putting a lot of effort into this historical pub. It was a very local pub but incredibly welcoming. I am looking forward to returning soon to see the on-going project grow.

Super riverside seat in the bar so adult- only which I prefer. Fantastic fish and chips my sister whilst I had best rump steak ever cooked exactly as requested. Service attentive not claustrophobic - only fault had to borrow pepper from another table as empty!

The young man looking after us was very pleasant and efficient. Our carvery was nice but how does a restaurant serving a roast seven days a week run out of a basic ingredient at 4.30 on a Sunday afternoon. There were no parsnips at this time which surely is a basic mistake in the ordering system. As usual the ladies toilets were disgusting, wet floors in the cubicles, broken locks, dirty sinks.
