Jolly Gardener's Pub in Windsor and Maidenhead

Would helps if this pub actually served food as indicated on their website and Tripadvisor. Apparently they have not served food for a long time. A shame as it I was looking forward to a nice Thai meal.

Great pub, friendly bunch of locals who make everyone feel welcome. Beer is always well maintained. Looking forward to going back more often.

The welcome is always genuine and organised in this COVID age.. The Thai kitchen is really authentic and if you have favourites not on the menu, or like it really spicy, just ask. Everything saved fresh and hot by friendly staff. Great value for money.

Excellent authentic Thai food. I travel to eat here - best in all Windsor area. The pad Thai is excellent and the curries are perfectly balanced and a real taste of Thailand

Superb to have the team back even though just providing takeaways. Highlight was the duck spring rolls but not forgetting Thai prawn crackers. A delicious selection for the family.

During the current Lockdown we decided on the recommendation of friends & family to have a takeaway from The Jolly Gardener.The food was excellent at what we considered very reasonable price.We will certainly use the service again.

First time visit for four of us and we were not disappointed. The service was friendly and attentive and we had a wide range of delicious Thai food to choose from including a specials board. The dishes were beautifully presented with hot plates and good portions. Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely be back.

Visited this place while away with work and had a fantastic time. The lady behind the bar couldn’t have been more welcoming and friendly. The food was outstanding Thai food in a county pub would raise doubts but let me settle any doubts this food was amazing. Proper authentic Thai food. Monday night a week from Christmas , you’d expect a pub to be busy . 3 locals at the bar and just the 4 of us eating Believe the kitchen is rented out to the Thai restaurant owner Quite a varied menu , nicely presented , tasty and good value . Wasn’t offered dessert until we asked for it Shame that there was no atmosphere and you could hear the Tv in the bar area Nice enough for a group get together but if you’re celebrating something , find a venue with a bit more going for it

Lovely little village pub, friendly and welcoming. The Thai Kitchen is outstanding and far exceeded our expectations. The Landlady Lisa is a credit to her establishment as are all her staff.

Visited this Pub/Restaurant several times in the past weeks. The service is excellent, the food is superb. My wife has a severe shellfish allergy, and they were ever so helpful in ensuring that she would not be served with anything which contained shellfish or had come into contact with shellfish. We can't wait to get to get back down in december

Visited the Jolly Gardeners Pub because I heard from friends in a Thai Restaurant in Amersham that their manager Joe had moved to manage the Thai Restaurant in the Jolly Gardener. He was delighted to see us and we soon realised what we were missing when once again he show us how friendly and attentive he was. We had an absolutely delicious meal but because everything was so nice, over ordered!! Mixed starters and a main would have sufficed but couldn't resist a Tom Yum Goong, and we weren't disappointed. Brilliant. Giant prawns in tamarind sauce were delicious. My wife and her brother had a prawn and scallops dish and both said it was outstanding. Oh and finally, Joe was delighted to tell us that the restaurant had been visited that day by health inspectors and was awarded a 5!! Well done Joe. See you soon.

Brilliant takeaway - was about to order from one of the Thai restaurants in Windsor but then remembered about The Jolly Gardeners. Food prepared quickly and to a good quality. Would definitely order again. Quite pricey but no complaints.

Stopped off for a quick pint at the Jolly Gardeners in Old Windsor. Ordered a Thai green curry as it's my favourite... was amazing quality and cooked by a genuine Thai chef! Great value for money and the food was amazing! I'll be back :)

My husband and I came in to try the Thai kitchen that many of the villagers have been raving about.

The food is excelent, have eaten in there quite a few times now. Good beer wine anything you drink. Lovely atmosphere, Staff friendly and very helpfull will go in there again :-)

What a fantastic find. Amazing food, attentive bar staff all round great place. Definitely recommend the thai green curry best I've ever tasted. The beer is tasty too.

This was our second visit and was waiting to try again before reviewing.The food was very good and very authentic.The staff are great both in the restaurant and behind the bar.The only complaint I have is that the portions are a bit small but that might just be me.I would highly recommend the Thai food it's good value for the price.Will definitely be back but try a different dish.

You would think this shouldn’t work, but it absolutely does! Beautiful, quintessential, quaint English pub (with a fantastic atmosphere!) meets authentic Thai cuisine! The Thai kitchen was absolutely incredible, delicious food and impeccable service! Combine this with equally faultless service from the staff at the Jolly - passing by regularly to check you glass is always full ;) - makes for a brilliant evening out! Thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will 100% recommend to everyone we know! Thank you!

El pub tiene una gran decoración, ambiente y buen ambiente, incluso a mitad de semana; Un montón de caras amigables y todo el personal muy acogedor. Al pasar por el área del restaurante tailandés, que estaba impecable, fuimos recibidos por el personal de la cocina tailandesa y luego pasamos a tener una increíble, auténtica comida tailandesa a un precio muy razonable. The Gardners is a pub that I've been to a few times, but the addition of the Thai restaurant is a real bonus. The bar staff were there usual friendly & welcoming selves.

Had driven over past this small pub many times but never tempted to stop - what a lovely surprise though - great, authentic Thai food and really friendly service - will be back again soon!

Ahora hay un restaurante de cocina tailandesa que funciona desde el pub, que es excelente, tanto en términos de comida como de precio. This is a real British locals pub run by Lisa and her team. Great selection of drinks and now the wonderful Thai restaurant makes it a must for a meal and a drink. Have lived in the village for over 20 years and The Jolly Gardeners is the best it has ever been. Well do e Lisa.x

I visited yesterday for a birthday meal at the Thai kitchen in the jolly’s and wow , it was incredible, the food was brilliant even better than Thai square !! The jungle curry was spot on as was the sticky rice.

Had a fantastic Thai meal fully recommended the Duck tamarind great selection of beers and lovely staff

This is some of the best Thai food I’ve had. Eaten in and had take away. Both of which outstanding. Can not recommend this highly enough.

4 of us went to this pub for a Thai meal on Saturday night, food really fresh & yummy. Very friendly down to earth staff ,felt really welcome , service was excellent . Lovely lively friendly atmosphere . Defo make sure you book . For a small pub it packs a lot of character .

Having eaten at Thai restaurants in Windsor and Egham I wanted to compare (as after all being a local the Jolly’s is on right our doorstep -in fact walking distance). The Thai Kitchen beats both that we have visited.

We had lunch at the Thai kitchen, absolutely delicious and really good value. The staff were very friendly and helpful, will definitely be going again soon.

Once again, had cause to visit The Jolly Gardeners run by Lisa and her team of wonderful staff. Added bonus, Thai Kitchen is now a part of the venue. I had the lunchtime menu and omg the flavours that were in the Penang Curry were out of this world. Going to be working my way through the menu. Beautiful food, freshly cooked by Thai people, just the way it should be. Special mention to Jenny behind the bar, a great ambassador for th pub and nothing is too much trouble.

Have just popped into the Jollies for a quick drink and decided to grab some food from there new THAI Kitchen! OMG it was exceptional!!! Full of flavour, loaded with prawns and chicken, truely worth the money! What a lovely Variation for the Village as well! Well done to Lisa and the Kitchen

We went for a Thai lunch for a family of 4. Both children, my partner and myself (I’m Thai) enjoyed all the food! We had the starter plater to share, Pad Thai (prawn & squid), Pad KraPraw (seafood) and Duck red curry (แกงเผ็ดเป็ดย่าง) together with the complementary Prawn Crackers. The food taste good and the service even more exceptional. The pup & the drink alway giving a friendly & family atmosphere, so this is a great additional to Old Windsor.

Awful pub, awful, rude staff, the establishment is just awful. Drugs are very obviously rife in this place. Absolutely would not recommend.

The Jollys tiene un verdadero ambiente de pub de pueblo. Estaba lleno de lugareños encantadores cuando visité y hay una gran selección de comidas que se ofrecen. Decidimos visitar este pub basado en otras reseñas y aunque la sensación es "tradicional", la comida es realmente buena. No es una gran elección pero disfrutamos nuestras comidas y volveríamos. No estoy seguro de si hacen postres - no nos ofrecieron ninguno, pero de todos modos no lo necesitamos, ya que las raciones eran generosas. Definitivamente vale la pena una visita si te gusta la comida tradicional de pub.

Great friendly service, beautiful decor and a lovely atmosphere - you always feel welcome whenever you're there and the staff always make sure you're looked after. The outdoor garden area is great to enjoy a drink in the summer and they have a lovely fire in the winter - whether you want a quiet drink or a lot of fun, they have something for everyone. To top it all off, the food is delicious. I've been for a lot of pub roasts in the area but none come close to the one here. It's perfect every time, the service is always so fast

This pub is great fro locals. The food is good for a good plate of food. They do a curry night for free, with drinks, it's a small portion but enough to feel comfortable after. They cater for events, eg, birthdays, anniversaries and so on, which is usually done outside in lovely outside garden, but can only accommodate a certain amount of patrons as it is not very large. All in all a fun pub to visit in a lovely old style building.

With a revamp and new ownership this local pub in Old Windsor has a lot to offer. We have watched sports, socialised with friends and had a bite to eat. Overall in Old Windsor I rate this pub higher than the others and look forward to more of the same good experiences in 2018.

We were still on U.S. time and were starving at 3:00. It was between lunch and dinner so they were not serving food yet. We got talking to the woman at the bar, who turned out to be the owner. She very kindly offered to ask the chef to make us fish and chips! It was amazing. A great, friendly pub I would highly recommend.

Went here last night as passing through and needed somewhere to stop. Had both child and dog with us but got a really friendly welcome from the bar staff. Food was standard pub fare but cooked fresh to order, tasty and large portions. It was nice to feel so welcome somewhere that is clearly so popular with the locals.

Nothing fancy but one can tell the neighborhood likes it. We arrived about 5 & had a beer then ordered their Friday night special, fish & chips & mushy peas. Very tasty but noticed no one else was eating but maybe they just came to drink.

Very friendly and attentive service. We had a group Xmas dinner and it came with all the trimmings and crackers etc. Very comfortable.

Vastly changed with some new owners I think. Still great beer but is much nicer to drink in now that it’s had a re-vamp. Very friendly now as well and kids are welcome plus now shows the footy as well!

We stopped in here for a bite to eat for an evening whilst away for a night at a hotel just down the road. The food and service were both brilliant and definitely value for money. Me and my wife both had different dishes and both very pleased with our choices. If in the area I would highly recommend stopping in whether for food or just for a drink as it is a lovely pub with great people.

It's one of our local pubs but this is the first time we have actually eaten there. Food was very good, service very good too friendly staff. The only down side I had was I couldn't get dessert as the chef had already left 10 minutes before they stopped food. But it wasn't the end of the world & my body was probably thankful for it :)

Third Sunday roast here and without a doubt the best I've eaten in the Old Windsor/Englefield Green/Egham area and the only place I've returned to or would recommend. Lovely welcoming atmosphere, perfect roast beef and best of all fantastic value. Will definitely be back.

We popped in here for Sunday lunch last week and all I can say is, its the best Sunday lunch for miles! We have eaten in lots of the local pubs but this one is by far the best. The lunch was homemade and they even do cauliflower cheese which is my favorite .The staff are all very friendly and attentive and the pub is spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend giving this pub a try. We will most definitely be regular visitors from now on

Found ourselves kid free so dropped in last minute. The service was great and food lovely. Great to have a decent proper pub in the village.

Dropped in on the off chance when looking for somewhere to eat after a busy day at Legoland.. Got a great reception from the friendly staff and the food was excellent.. the pup is clean, well modernised and I only wish it was closer to where I live.. totally recommend the home made burgers, my son had the sausages and they also looked great.. Thank you for finishing off a great day out perfectly.. I will return sometime soon..

Popped in for a meal with family and what a lovely experience it was. We were greeted by a lovely lady behind the bar (believed to be in her late 20s) very polite and the food was delicious!!! Would highly recommend.

Had a pleasant supper here - ham, egg and chips and chicken, BBQ sauce chips and peas. With one beer and one soft drink the whole bill was just £21. Good service, friendly service. Raining so didn't get a chance to sit in the beer garden.

There's always something going on at 'The Jollies' to suit all tastes. Food theme events to suit all tastes and there are various party nights are attract a good mix of people from the community. The beer garden is coming on nicely with a good sunny aspect and we look forward to good weather adding to,its popularity!

I had heard through the grapevine that the food was excellent. Thought we would give it a try .The staff were very friendly . The food was excellent. Great value for money. It has a great outdoor space . I would recommend for a quick lunch. Delicious Sunday Roast, friendly fast service and great value! ( and I'm a hard person to please)-Roast beef tender, perfectly cooked veg,great roast potatoes and Yorkshire -a rarity in most pubs these days -highly recommended-will definitely be back.

This is a newly refurbished and newly managed village pub which is very popular amongst locals and families. There is a new menu (inclusive of kids meals) which is very reasonably priced. It has a relaxed ambience and a safe environment. The garden has a sunny aspect for afternoon and evenings. It's a fitting tribute that the 'Jollies' is never empty, but always welcoming!
