Went for a hen do! Considering it’s pretty much a relaxed nightclub, the food was amazing! I had the chicken and gammon pie and it was so lovely! The service is fantastic 🏁 and the staff are all brilliant! A good night filled with fun, singing on the tables and good music!!

Overall very good, but unfortunately disappointed with the chateaubriand to share. Expected a 20oz steak for sharing, but compared to other 10oz steak menu options there really didnt seem to be that much meat on the platter. 3 or 4 1x2x~6cm cut strips per person for two people. Definitely did not feel like we had the portion we were expecting. Aside from that though, everyhting was tasty and well cooked. Serice was hit and miss, but they were busy and our server took speciifc time with one member of the party to clear up some questions.

I have been here many times and it is always excellent. They get everything just right and every time we go, we leave happy. The staff are always friendy and it is so much nicer than the big chains. No surprise to see it is placed number 1 of 29 restaurants in Turvey.

We called in for Sunday lunch, just two of us. We had not booked however we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. We had three courses and a bottle of Prosecco. All were served with good humour by the engaged staff. The meal was delicious and the experience was worth the price.

Lovely food cooked exactly as you would like it, wine list excellent from very tasty reasonably priced wines to very good more expensive wines, staff are very friendly and helpful, pricing of food very very good considering how excellent it is, well worth a visit either as a couple or family.

We had a wonderful evening at the Robin Hood. It's a lovely village pub with a long history. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, there was a good selection of ales and wines and the food was amazing (I can't recommend the Stuff in the Oven highly enough!) Utterly charming and thoroughly recommended, I am sure that we will be back soon!!

We had the best Burns Night dinner at the Durant Arms. The Pub was packed , there were gentlemen in full kiltled evening dress and ladies in posh frocks, also people in jeans and tops with a tartan ribbon in their hair. Everyone was having a fabulous time, and the atmosphere was incredible. The Addess to the Haggis was brilliant. The food was absolutely delicious, inventive interpretation of traditional Scottish dishes. The chef made mashed potato and mashed neeps so rich and lush. The star of my meal was definitely the pud, irnbru ice cream float, with raspberry gel and tea cake. Amazing! The staff were wonderful, the pub was full to bursting but all the food came out quickly and effectively. It was just such great fun and they were so friendly. It was fabulous.

Came in for a coffee late at night with a homeless gentleman. After a bit of persuasion we got 2 delicious Caramel Mochas overflowing with marshmallow and all the stuff that’s bad for you. Worked hard today so feel I deserve it and Kira was kind enough to discount via our Nuffield Gym membership ;-) Reason for only 4 stars: I had to lick the outside of the mug (don’t tell anyone but I secretly enjoyed this anyway!!! ;-) EDIT: Kira added a drizzle of Amaretto syrup so increased to 5 stars - heaven in a cup!!! EDIT: Kira didn’t have any Disarono or similar alcoholic syrup - reduced to 4 stars

Wow, how times have changed. Been to this place a dozen+ times over recent years, and things have got progressively worse. I'm not sure what has happened. The first meal we had - several years back - was superb. But the food my partner has just collected (7pm, 16 Jan) is, with the exception of the two burgers, pretty rotten. A 'large' fish - which is actually 60% batter - that has been completely overcooked in what is clearly not fresh oil. Same re battered sausage, the oil is running dark brown stains all over the paper. The chips don't taste particularly fresh either, perhaps that's also the oil they've been cooked in? The burgers (for the kids) seem OK, and the curry sauce/mushy peas are as we've come to expect. I've literally written only about three reviews in my life, but felt compelled to do so on this occasion. I have no idea what has happened, and I hope they can turn it around, but sadly we'll not be returning to find out if they've been able to.
