The best restaurants serving British food in Lewes Bridge Lewes South East

Me and my husband stayed here for a night while we were travelling around The Peak District on our motorbike. We absolutely loved it! The staff were friendly and very helpful, couldn't do enough for us. The evening meal was extremely good, highly recommend eating here even if you don't stay. The atmosphere was relaxing and the pub busy. Great playlist of music playing quietly outside in the lovely garden. The room was a little dated but functional, the shower was great, powerful and plenty of hot water. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided with some biccies too :) We had a lovely nights sleep and we were very comfortable. Breakfast was really good, plenty of choice and excellent quality food. The lady who served us was an absolute treasure! There is a great walk out the back of the pub which took us around 6.5 miles along the river and through the gorgeous countryside. If you fancy it, download the Komoot app and it will lead you the way! We totally recommend this place and will stay again next time we are passing through! Very good little brasserie with great smiling and friendly staff.

Really delicious selection of fresh sandwiches including baguettes, toasties and filled focaccias priced around £4. The focaccia in the photo is the Brie and bacon focaccia which was £3.95. Staff will also heat it up for you which made it taste even better. Pastries cost around £2 each which is reasonably priced for a high street bakery and the cinnamon roll was very sweet and flavourful at prices at £1.90. There is not a large seating area and it can get busy but all in all a lovely place to have a light lunch.

Lovely old pub. Great beers and staff and nice location.

Had lunch here on Bank Holiday Monday whilst the May day festivities were on. Service was good, despite the pub being very busy, and the food was hot and tasty. Mostly pub staples eg fish and chips, scampi etc

Tenía el bistec gourmet de 10 oz costilla ojo no bueno muy masticable y sobre cocinado enviado de vuelta y volvió todavía sobre cocinado, así que no feliz, pero el miembro del equipo nos ofreció una bebida gratis en la casa que era agradable de ellos, la comida en este pub es por lo general 100% es por eso que comemos aquí regularmente
