I had a great stay at Audleys Wood Hotel for my birthday with my family for lunch and my girlfriend overnight. The hospitality was great and I would recommend it to others, especially if they're local in Basingstoke.

Excellent Sunday roast. Service with a smile. Good value. No surprise, it was very busy when we arrived just before 1pm but after 3pm got quieter. Will definitely return.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Woolpack, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, creating a lovely atmosphere in this charming country pub. The food was not only delicious but beautifully presented, perfectly paired with some great wine. The blond and I had a fantastic evening and left thoroughly impressed. Whether you’re looking for a place to enjoy a drink or a delicious meal, I highly recommend the Woolpack—you won’t be disappointed!

We did a hike in the area and called into the Fox for lunch and a pint. The pub exterior looked a bit tired so our expectations weren't high, However, as soon as we entered the pub and were met with a friendly welcome things started to look up. Like a previous reviewer we had the tuna sandwich and the steak burger with Stilton but our experience was far more positive. The food was simple but very tasty, especially the chunky chips. Likewise the beer was well kept and very refreshing after a long walk. There was a large group of ramblers in the pub who had clearly arranged to park in the pub car park before doing their walk. They all appeared to be enjoying their post walk food & drinks too.
