The best restaurants serving British food in South East

Wow! Blown away by this amazing bistro - sensational food, welcoming and helpful staff and gorgeous setting. Every plate was just divine! Can't wait to return.

Spent a wonderful afternoon with my sister and mum enjoying a fabulous champagne afternoon tea in the Sky Bar. Matt was the perfect host. He was very attentive, nothing too much trouble and his knowledge of the array of teas was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious too. This is without doubt my favourite afternoon tea venue.

We came here for afternoon tea, which we pre booked. Reasonably priced and got alot for our money. Service was spot on. Tea sets and crockery were beautiful. Food was delicious! We all left very happy and very full! We even had leftovers so was given takeaway boxes and also bought slices of there fresh display cakes to take home for the hubbys. Will definitely be returning!

Lovely little place for food stuffs

Great food which is good value. Lovely atmosphere. Relaxed and friendly. Superb hosting from the lovely Darren who has a terrific memory for names and faces. Makes you feel special.

Had such a special evening here. What a warm, loving place with fantastic food and quirky heartfelt music. Can’t wait to come back!

A lovely birthday meal enhanced by the friendly staff who made sure we were attended to, made the right choices from a good selection on the menu (printed and the day's specials on a blackboard brought to the table. We were not rushed, and the meals ordered were beautifully cooked - plenty of it, hot and good value. First class! My sister thoroughly enjoyed the soup she had and was returning later in the week with friends and hoped the same soup was on the menu! Full credit to the staff for making our afternoon perfect - and for wishing me happy birthday as we left! Would I go again? 100%

First visit to the bcot restaurant and wow what a surprise. The food that was cooked by students was incredible. I wish I could name the chefs in this review but I have no idea of there names. So very impressive for such young people. Charlie was our server and all I can say is awesome, so friendly and engaging and could not have done anything more to make our experience any better. Perfect. Thank you, we will definitely be back.

We Went for Mother’s Day but we have been before for THE BEST SUNDAY ROAST EVER. it’s so homely and friendly the staff cannot do enough for you. The food is absolutely delicious and all home made.

Best poached egg I ever had. We really must visit more often as a great place. We have only been for breakfast a couple of times but the food and menu looks great. Home made cakes are also great, we took them home. Lady that runs it is very friendly and prices are very fair. Will definitely try to get there more often .

From the time we arrived till we left what an amazing restaurant and the friendliest staff ever. We were greeted by the manager and head chef. We had driven from Brighton to eat here and it certainly was worth it. The food is just beautiful and the tasting menu was explained to us every step of the way. From the beginning to the end it was just perfect. We were even given some cookies when we left for our journey home the following day. Henry and his team are just so kind polite and friendly. Average, especially compared other venues in Arundel. The staff are great, really lovely, very helpful and accommodating. The food was sadly disappointing. Everything we had was dry and lacking flavour. It looks like a lovely little cafe, very stylish and cosy, but the food was so average. Sausages were pale and grey, extremely strong herb flavour. Tuna was dry, cheese melt wasn’t properly melted, so the cheese was dry, salad everything was dry. And portion size was a bit shocking for the price. There’s no point in offering a side salad if it’s going to barely be a spoonful on the side and a handful of crisps, save the money and improve the main feature of the dish. We wanted to like it. But it would have been better if we had purchased sandwiches from a supermarket. The staff are the real asset here not the food.

The staff always seem so happy and friendly, and the food is always stunning. Lived in Barry all my life and only tried the deli last month for the first time, I've been back about 5 times now.
