Had Christmas Dinner away from home for the first time ever and went to The Patten Arms and what a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lovely and cosy and the food was delicious and plentiful (even brought some home with us). We had a couple of slight changes to the menu, but Matt the chef accommodated us on every one. Thoroughly recommend and hoping to go back next year, although will definitely be going at other times during the coming year.

One of the cutest little coffee shops, right by the promenade. Very little room inside, but plenty of seating outdoors. Chocolate brownies are a definite speciality, fudge too. We stopped off for coffee and cake, trying two brownies plus a bakewell blondie. A real treat was the square of fudge they give you free with your hot drink. Expecting it to be quite expensive, I was relieved to be told that they accept card payments, I was also pleasantly surprised by the final bill. Will definitely return…very soon. Open daily Wed-Sun. Best restaurant in the area of Garstang. The food is first class. Presentation is lovely. Reasonably priced. Christmas Eve dinner Three courses and drinks under £100.00 pounds. Great value for money staff are warm and friendly attentive too. The restaurant itself is cosy with a log fire warm decor. Well worth repeat visits

This time I had:- BBQ Pulled Chicken Toasted Focaccia Melt £11.90 Served with homemade chips & coleslaw Tender chicken breast , red onions, cheddar cheese, smokey BBQ sauce Just lovely, all elements of the dish beautifully executed. I did upgrade to salt & pepper chips, definitely the best out there. It’s a cracking cafe, great staff & an interesting menu - it doesn’t rate the highly on TripAdvisor for no reason!

A cracking local pub, situated in the heart of the town, in a perfect location. We stumbled across the Royal Oak, looking for somewhere to eat, prior to watching Garstang FC v Droylsden FC. Great find ! Customer service was excellent. ✅ Food was great. 👍 Price was as expected 💰 All in all….. 10/10. 🌟 Will definitely return. FYI, Droylsden won 3-1. ⚽️
